Mission: Murder on the Exeter Express
Day: 2
Stardate: 2445.12.02
(USS Exeter – Science Labs - CSO Lt JG Erin Cortez - 2017)
"Being our Chief of Sciences, how’s your knowledge of Acoustics?” Keira
asked.
Looking at her friend, Erin knew something was up but she couldn’t put a
finger on what it was. Taking a second, Erin thought and said, “Not
brilliant but i can follow acoustical science.”
“That’s good….While I was waiting for you to show, I was thinking about one
of our previous “adventures”. You remember that holodeck program I showed
you?”
Erin smiled, “You mean the “Calisthenics” one? Oh i remember it well.”
“Yup, that’s the one. I remember how it beat us both up pretty bad. I ended
up recycling that work out shirt by the end it was too bloody and
tattered.” Keira said.
“Me too. It was fun though. Does a person good to work out sometimes. Get
the inner anger out on the holodeck.”
“I know it’s strange but one last question. Remember how I patched you up
at the end? How’s that scar?”
Erin gave her friend a look and replied, “You patched me up? I seem to
remember someone declining to do it. I think the words were “A world of
no.” You handed me the autosuture and i did it. Now unless you want me to
prove my medical skills and show you that there is no scar, would you mind
telling me what the hell is going on because it’s late and i’ve had a bad
day and am in no mood for games.”
(Reply Keira)
“Just spit it out. We’re friends. I know some of the crew have questions
about my involvement with Commander Tyko and, that is something that will
be answered in the fullness of time. Just tell me what is going on. Please,
Keira?”
