(USS Exeter - Astrometrics Lab - CSO Lieutenant Erin Cortez - 2021)



"I'm here to serve, ma'am," said Xava.



Erin smiled softly. “I prefer the term work with but i take that. You
should fit in well here, Ensign.” Turning slightly, Erin nodded towards the
main part of the Astrometrics lab. “As you probably know, this is our
Astrometrics lab. State of the art and, to be honest, a lifesaver recently.”

“So, Ensign, Onwards? I know your speciality lies here but i would like to
show you the rest of the department. I am quite open to peoples projects
and where they want to work most of the time but it is always prudent for
you to know your way around and where to find people if you need them,
don’t you agree?”

“Okay then, first stop, the main science lab. My office is in there so
that’s where i am most likely to be unless i pull bridge duty.”

“Speaking of which, have you ever been on the bridge of the Exeter?”

Smiling, Erin began to head for the door, “Then you are in for a treat,
Ensign. Shall we?” she replied as she gestured towards the door.
