EXETERRPG: (2 - 1802) CMO Lieutenant JG Heinrich Kruze

(Earth, Arizona local medical facility, CMO Lieutenant JG Heinrich Kruze - 1802)

When Vice Admiral Bracken concluded her interrogation, Heinrich made his way back to Arizona as soon as possible. By the time he returned Starfleet had appointed a new head physician who had begun receiving patients. But Heinrich overrode his replacement and personally attended to each and every injury. It had been almost three hours of work. Between the visits and the necessary data input Heinrich allowed no rest for himself. It was just the way he wanted it. 

“Who else do we got?” He asked his attending nurse.

“Just one more doctor. Looks like a boxer’s break.”

“Let me see the scan.” He said. The nurse nodded and pulled up an x-ray image on the screen. It showed a bone broken in the hand.

“That’s the fifth metacarpal alright. I can get the osteogentic stimulator…”

“Doctor Kruze, please.” She interrupted. “It’s almost dinner time, and it’s only a broken bone. I can handle this.”

“I don’t doubt your capabilities Nurse Joy…” He said, starting to get testy.

“When was the last time you had a bite to eat?”

Heinrich stopped. By trying to think about past meals he remembered his next meal — with the Williams’.

“Nurse Joy, what time is it?” He asked.

“It’s just past 1800 hours.”

“I must have lost track of time! Yes, you can take care of that. I need to get moving. I’m going to be late.” 

“Late for what…?” Before she could get a response Heinrich was already out the door and to the transporter room.
