Mission: A new day dawns

Day: 1

(USS Exeter - Operations Department - Ensign Rylee Page  - 1102)


The last few days and weeks had been trying and Rylee knew that it showed
on her face. After the whole business with the Empress and what had
happened between her and Zot, she had tried to be understanding. She knew
that he was struggling with the fact that he had taken a life and had tried
to be there for him, to help him through what he was dealing with but, for
whatever reason, it hadn’t been enough and they had split.


Knowing that she still loved him despite all that, it had hurt her deeply
that she couldn’t help him. Rather than dwell on things, she had thrown
herself into work and had regularly pulled double shifts simply to keep
herself busy. Today was no exception. Running systems checks on the
computer core, she had been enjoying the peace and quiet when the voice
came through shattering that.

someone be there.=/\=


Sighing, Rylee tapped her combadge and replied, “Ensign Page here.”


"Excellent, I'm glad to catch you. We are having computer problems in
sickbay, and since computer software is more your department than
engineering, I was wondering if you could send someone down." Violet
Paused, "Are you available to come down, since well, I know you are on the
ship, so that way I don't have to try and call for another Ops officer. I
know the Eunepian guy, Rot, Toz, oh yeah Zot, I know he is the computer
specialist but he weirds most of us nurses out."


Biting her lip, Rylee sighed and replied, “I’ll be down as soon as i can.
Page out.” Picking up her tool kit, Rylee allowed herself a moment to check
that she had everything she needed and headed out to sickbay.

Walking into sickbay, Rylee looked around and said to someone nearby,
“Someone called Ops?”

Rylee walked over to the nurse and said, “Okay, what exactly seems to be
the issue?”
