(LS Endeavour -Cabin – CFO – Lieutenant - Ire Williams- 0032)



Ire winched the jibsail in place as he locked down the hand crank. He glanced at the small screento one side of the primary view port.

 

“Okay on course everythingis looking good.”

 

He had not beenable to sleep and had decided to take the Endeavour out to see if he could calmhis turbulent mind. He had filed a flight plan, grabbed what he needed anddeparted Mars Orbital. He had planned to be out for a couple of hours but hadplanned for different way points in the flight plan so that he could extend orshorten his trip depending on how he felt.

 

He smiled tohimself as he tapped a command on the screen. With a few deft commands he broughtup a list of music options. He found one that said sea shanties. He paused fora moment as he did not remember adding. He shrugged and tapped it as the displaychanged to a list of songs. He scanned the list not sure of which one to choseso just picked one at random.    

 
The opening bars of Roll The Old Chariot Along began to play through the cabin.  
 

He floated in thezero-g with a grab bar within hands reach as he looked out at the stars as themusic surrounded him as he sailed through the black.
