NRPG: Pistol Shaped Phaser is stolen from Discovery Season 3. Aka the great
white shark phaser, pictures included

(Mars Facility - Shooting Range and Obstacle Course - ACTO, Lt. JG Troy
"Tex" McCoy" - 1000)

To say that Troy was stoked would be an understatement. After spending a
year working security on Mars he was finally going to get his chance to be
assigned on a Starship. The Exeter needed to replace her top two tactical
officers and he had been transferred to her as the Assistant Chief Tactical
Officer. It meant that if he worked hard he might be able to impress the
captain enough to get the head gig before they ship left. He was certainly
one of the best Marksmen in Starfleet. As he finished his run on the
obstacle course, having not missed a target, he was dual wielding phasers,
a new prototype evocative of the more pistol shaped phasers of the 23rd
century. It was his gunslinging style and mentality that earned him the
nickname "Tex" even though Troy himself was actually from Calgary, Alberta,
Canada. As he exited the course, he smiled. Flashing above the exit was a
sign that flashed "New High Score."

As he holstered his phasers and high five a few officers he took the cowboy
hat he had placed near the entrance and put in on his head. If they were
gonna call him Tex he would live up to it. As he turned to talk to one of
the attendants he began walking backwards. Without realizing it, he bumped
into a commander he did not recognize.

"Oh, sorry sir, wasn't looking."
