“That is true.”


"Ire, have you ever seen an old series of movies, motion pictures if youwill, from the late 20th century, early 21st century called StarWars? Fun little Space Operas. Ground breaking for their time, but the effectsreally didn't hold up. But I guess that was over 400 years ago."

 

Ire nodded.

 

“Yes but not for a very long time. I am more a BattleStar Galactica fan.”

 

"The original three films are good, the middlethree are kinda blah, and the last three are a bit of a mix bag, a lighting rodif you will. They also had some actress who looks a lot like Ailynnm but Idigress. Anyways in the sixth film, which is the third chronologically,which makes no sense to me, but I guess in a society driven by money andprofits you churn out shit to capitalize on people's hard earned cash. There isa scene where one of the protagonists turns into a bad guy, and he's fightingthe other good guy who was like his mentor, and best friend, and they'refighting. The one that stayed good looks at the one who fell and said, you weremy brother, I loved you. But all the guy who went bad could show was hishate. Thats kinda how I feel, felt. That gravitas, that pain, that hurt. He wasmy brother Ire, and he gave into despair." 

 

Ire nodded. He vaguely remembered what part of themovie he was talking about. 

 

“He did give into despair is who he is now but notwho he was and what we remember him for. It also does not mean that you need tofollow him into your own despair as well.”

“Yes he’s your brother and yes he hurt you badlybut you will get through this. It may not seem that way now, here in this moment,but it will.”

 

He gave Trip a sad reassuring smile.
