Mission: Andromeda's Chain
Day: 11
Stardate: 2446.01.13

(USS Exeter, Captain's Yacht Hanger - CO, Captain Trip Williams, CTO/3O,
Lt. Commander Ravok, and ACTO, Lt. JG Cade Blackwell -1600)

The time had come. The Exeter was finally back in the Milky way, they were
home. Of course Quella was off on her timing, rather than returning them to
the moment they left, or the day they were currently, it was a full ten
days later. This meant the Exeter had been declared missing for 13 days. 13
days that their families and friends worried about their fate. In a green
flash they returned to their proper place in the Universe. All was well, or
was it.

Ravok promptly made his way to the rendezvous point to await Cade. The time
to take the captain's yacht was now or never.

As Cade and Ravok made their way to the Captain’s yacht, they were greeted
by a figure standing in front of the door to the craft. He had beaten them
to the punch, thanks to site to site transporting. Captain’s prerogative
and all that jazz.

“Ravok, Cade.” Trip said stoically.

Ravok stopped immediately " You…" He said grudgingly, grabbing Cade and
holding his blade to his neck.
" Get out of my way, I'll slice him wide open before the confinement beam
has a chance to register " Ravok warned, speaking of the site to site
transport capabilities.

“Ravok….” Trip relying on their familiarity. “Let’s not act rashly. Let’s
talk about this. This isn’t you. We’re almost home, we can get you the help
you need. You aren’t a murderer, you aren’t a deserter. Whatever the
Empress did to you, we can fix, together.”

Ravok shook his head and pressed the blade against Cade’s throat.
" It's what you did, she only showed me the truth, the truth I've been
running from since the day I met you. "

“Then help me understand Ravok, What did I do?” Trip asked. He could feel
the anxiety from Cade.

Cade wanted to try and escape. He had the heights advantage, but Ravok’s
increased strength nullified that. He could easily try and weasel out, but
he knew Ravok wouldn’t hesitate. He was too far gone.

" I've talked enough , move or watch another person die because of your own
poor judgment " Ravok said as he started walking toward Trip , while
restraining Cade.

“Ravok, this isn’t you. You aren’t a murderer.”

Ravok smirked

“Think of your daughter dammit! You’re just gonna leave her here, take a
life and run?”

Trip's words stirred something in him. His eyes looked down at the floor.
He felt his eyes being to fill with tears.
" No…" He said menacingly.
" She'll be your reminder of your failures." Ravok said and slid the blade
across Cade's throat.

“Cade!” Trip yelled out. “Damnit!” He knew that both Cade and Ravok were
disgruntled. He had sensed they were both in cahoots, but he did not expect
Ravok to kill his co-conspirator.

Cade's body fell to the floor and Ravok lunged at Trip with the blade in
hand , swinging it upwards and piercing Trip's abdomen.

As Trip fell to the floor, bleeding out, he looked at Ravok and tried not
to laugh. “When we first bonded,” Trip said, coughing up blood. “ You said
you would play out on the holodeck the battle of Cheron, reversing history,
defeating the Earth, Vulcan, and Andorian alliance. You would destroy a
ship my ancestor captained. Guess, the irony is….I should have seen this
coming. You were always more Romulan than..” Trip coughed again, “Then we
ever gave you credit for. Of course, I guess this means you are a true
friend. Because true friends stab you in the front.”

Ravok knelt down and with a sinister smile said.
" Sometimes a chair isn't just a chair…"
Then plunged the blade of his knife into the floor next to Trips head.

Trip just continued to laugh to mask the pain. That wasn’t Ravok, something
was wrong with his mind, but Trip began to doubt whether the Ravok he knew
was just a mask and this was the real Ravok all along.

Ravok entered the hatch of the captain's yacht and activated the transport
inhibitor as the hatch closed ,the yacht immediately detached from the
Exeter.

Trip pressed his commbadge, “Ailynn,Medical emergency in the Captain’s
yacht hanger. Please hurry and send someone, I’m bleeding out. Don't fire
at the Yacht….just….let it go…” Trip was able to say before he passed out.

As the Yacht detached from the Exeter it jumped to warp, causing those on
the Exeter to feel a subtle jolt beneath their feet as Ravok’s betrayal
became complete.
