Mission: The flames of purity
Day: 16
Stardate: 2445:09:16

(Gamma Quadrant Planet - Shuttle Michaelangelo - Interior - Tac/Sec Ens. Stan More - 12:36 )

Slowly Stan entered the shuttle. He silently moved over to a seat. The effort in sitting down made him grab the arm rest. The pain was excruciating. He could see the doc but he was busy. Besides security officers were expendable. That was why in the olden days. Their shirts were red. So the blood would not show. Stan sat there and tried to breathe.

He heard a voice. But could not for the life or incoming death. Remember who they where.

" Hello Ensign I need you to sit still. According to scans you have lost an alarming amount of blood, we need to stop the bleeding, clean the wound and mend your flesh. Do I have your permission?"

“ Tend......tend to others.....‘tis ah wee bit late for me...”Stan said very softly.

Maybe this person had miss heard him?
They nodded and handed another person. Who Stan could not make out something.

" No need to worry Ensign , you will be ok. I have read some basic first aid instructions. Do you require a reassuring bedside manner to place your mind at ease or would you prefer we mend you in silence?" Zot asked Ensign More.

Ravok! Yes it must be him. Stan could not properly see. So he guessed who was speaking.

“ Lieutenant Ravok.....permission to die sir...” He said

After that the voices and blurred faces. Vanished into a warm and soothing darkness. Was that the sound of bag pipes he could hear?
