"Well wekeep thinking of beaming them over here, but what about the opposite, and beamourselves into the escape pod. Master Chief Brown and I go over, withTransporter beacons attached to our person, get over, stun the person, then hitthem with an isolinear tag. You then beam them back to the Exeter. Assumingthere are no booby traps that is. But I've been thinking about that."
“Okay.” Irereplied.
"There is aGenesis linked device in there, so its, like would they really have anythingrigged to go off that could risk the device going off? I mean, would you risklosing your master plan due to an accidental Booby trap? I wouldn't."
"I never got any readings suggestingbooby traps, but then again we didn't really hang around long enough for a goodinternal scan. If I was me with a device so important I wouldn't booby trap it,I would guard it. It's the Holy Grail, a modern day Knights Templar might beover there, ready to attack but more importantly protect; there is only onelife sign, he can take it"
“That makes sense.”
"The other option to consider is, well, blowing up the pod from a safedistance. Sure the reaction might create an unstable planet, incorporating thedebris around it. But think about it, it's in a pretty open area of space, without too much collateral damage. The planet would then form, age rapidly, and then, well die. I mean... I dunno. Wouldn't that be the safe play, like saywe can't get whoever is in there, and its not necessarily safe to tow thesucker back to the Exeter. Can we risk waiting for the Exeter to finish at theplanet, then come back to it. Say for example while the Exeter isfinishing things on the planet, some unfriendly species finds it. I mean couldyou imagine if the Founders found it, and it reignited a new Dominion war, andoh yeah, now we have shapeshifters with a doomsday weapon." Billy stopped."Sorry that is too extreme. I don't know what came over me. Please ignoreit."
Before Ire could reply Brown spoke up.
"With the greatest of respect son, please shut up, I'll probably age another 10 years by the time you've finishedtheorising. Take your phaser; are we beaming over there or not?"
“Master Chief.” Ire said sternly. He knew that this was an emotion situationand that the others including him were not being calm and totally sensible.
“Go. Beam on board stun whoever is there, tag them and we can transportthem straight to the Exeter and also bring the Genesis devise back in the process.”
He looked at both of them as they stepped onto the transporter.
“No heroics. We have lost and injured to many people today. Good luck.”
~Prophets please don`t let them die~
