( USS Exeter - Bridge - CO, Lt. Commander Trip Williams - 0905)

“Where’s my niece?”

Trip turned and watched as his wife strolled onto the bridge. He was filled
up with emotion and joy, he could feel the same emanating from her. It took
everything he had to not collapse with the tears of joy right then and
there on the bridge. It took most of his will power to not melt into a
puddle of emotions. He could feel her, every emotion, every bit of love
they shared.

"Now, now Mrs. Williams. You know its not protocol to give information on
ongoing operations to civilian personnel." Trip said with a smile. With a
sigh he continued, "And might I say goodmorning to you Mrs. Williams." Trip
chuckled.

“Morning dear, busy day?”

"Busy wouldn't begin to describe it." Trip then turned and looked at Billy.
"Ensign Alexander you have the bridge."

"Aye sir." Came Billy's reply as Trip and Ash moved into the ready room.

(USS Exeter - Ready Room - CO, Lt. Commander Trip Williams - 0907)

As soon as the two were alone Trip pulled Ash into the biggest hug he could
muster and began weeping tears of joy. It was if over the last 12 hours he
had done everything he could to remain serious, calm, composed, collected
was finally lifted. He no longer had to keep that brave face, he no longer
had to hold back the emotions. The dam was temporarily broken,

"Oh Sugar Bear, I missed you so much. I'm so glad you are safe."

(reply Ash)

He released the hug. "Sorry, I've been holding back so much. I'll just
blame it on the implant."

"Are you ok? Did they hurt you? How's the baby? Any complications?" Trip
then began asking the overreacting questions. He just was happy she was
home, but they still needed to rescue Ailynn and Ryelle.
