"Have a seat, get comfortable. This is just a chat, not an interrogation."
Jack said pointing towards the comfortable chairs in the corner of the
office.
Walking to the softer chairs and sat, crossing his legs he waited.
"Now then," he smiled, " This session is confidential. Just to check on
you, see how you are handling the stress. Please understand that any
probing questions are more to see how your stress levels are rather than
any determination of guilt. Is that understood?"
Nodding Sleeford knew the drill, since his accident he'd had weekly
sessions with one or the other of the counselling team.
"Alright, where would you like to start?"
"Well theres nothing wrong with my stress levels, to be honest i've never
been calmer. My anger levels however are off the chart."
(Reply Roberts)
"If I'm honest I'm still a security office at heart, no matter where
Captain Williams places me. I feel bloody angry that a Starfleet officer, a
guest if you like died on the ship, as a department we failed. Failed
badly"
(reply Roberts)
Sleeford looked at the floor for a few seconds, " We had a run in the first
time we meet, it was unprofessional on my part, the man had a nasty habit
of getting under the skin, he was pompous, rude and damn right
arrogant..... No scrub arrogant, he was confident in his position, I mean
you don't get to be a Lieutenant Commander in Intel without the confidence
of mind and spirit and being able to stay alive long enough to gain the
rank."
(Reply Roberts)
Smiling slightly Sleeford shook his head, "He tried to get under my skin
yesterday, made some comments about my new job costing an arm and or a
leg.", Laughing, "Hell he tried really hard to make me snap If I'd not bee
so busy i might have."
(reply Roberts)
