" Hello Ensign " He said as he grabbed the PADD



“We have a couple theories what the substances could be used for. We were looking for a decision on what to run with for now,” she added in.


 Ravok glanced at the information handed to him. " I am running late to a command meeting. Follow me, I'm sure the captain wouldn't mind my delay due to a presentation of possible evidence." He said motioning his hand for her to follow as they boarded the turbolift

" Bridge" Ravok commanded as the turbolift began to rise. " So What do you have me Ensign?"


She looked up at him and followed, “Basic run down is assuming this is the some one who committed the murder: One – A detonation device that could be affixed to a sensitive target – warp core, torpedo magazine. Used as a ‘im taking you all down with me if I cant get out approach’. Two – A distraction possibly on the engines on computer core to impede our ability to track and apprehend the subject should they want to get away. Three – as a knock out gas possibly injected into a small area like the shuttle bay, transporter room or life support system to make a quick get away.


He looked at the PADD as she talked.


" Well even though they are theories I find it best that we leave no stone unflipped or unturned however the saying goes." He replied with a smirk.


She glance forward then back to Ravok, “Unturned sir.

(USS Exeter - Day 2 – Security - Ensign Janice Hammerfield - 1330)


The doors opened to the bridge.

" All of this is rather impressive investigative work. I have never met you before. New to the department?"
“I had some help form Lieutenant Cortez,” She added not wanting to take the credit, “You could say that – Engineering for the moment but ive been through a rodeo or two,” she paused and looked back to him realising that she had never introduced herself, “Sorry - Ensign Hammerfield. I was just in a bit of a rush to get this to you.”


" Engineering? Well Ensign follow me. I know it's a command meeting but any information that potentially sheds light on the investigation should be shared and there's no better place to do so than in a command meeting." He said as he led her into the conference room.


“Right... “ she looked up at him feeling obligated to attend yet at the same time not want a spotlight put on her.


Ravok looked at the Captain, Commander Bracken, and Lieutenant commander Merek. " Sorry for my tardiness Sirs." He said as turned towards the Ensign.

" This is Ensign Hammerfield and she has just presented me with some helpful information towards the investigation. " Ravok said hoping to explain her presence.

Janice looked about the room at everyone. She felt their gaze move to her and start pushing into her, “Hi,” she gave a small wave.

NRPG: Just adding this in now.

“Right yes... the findings. Talking with Lieutenant Cortez we have three plausible uses for the stolen substances. We ran on the theory that the stolen items and murder are related. One – an explosive device that could be attached to a sensitive area on the ship. The warp core or torpedo magazine and used as a bargaining chip to get off the ship should the be found. Two and explosive on a smaller scale to make an escape. Sabotaging the impulse engines, warp drive or computer core. Three a knock out gas to escape through the shuttle bay or transporter room. Potential it could be injected in the ships life support system but its effects would be reduced.

“The chemicals themselves are being shielded from our scanners so we cant detect them. Cortez is not happy with this as we have some of the best sensors out there. We came up with a few ideas on how to proceed but we think that’s best left to yourselves to decide. One – A full search of the ship. Bow to stern. Two – Work on the scanners and try to find a way to detect them. Three and personally my favoured approach – Force the person to use or move the substances and maybe give us a way to find and track them down.” She looked about her and held her right wrist in her left hand to stop it from twitching a little while she waited from a decision or questions.
