Mission: Murder on the Exeter Express

Day: 2

Stardate: 2445.12.02

(USS Exeter – Ensign More's Personal Quarters -SPC Armory Chief PO2
Sytuk-11:22 )

“No I can’t help you. Before you start shouting hear me out. The way things
are going my days on the Exeter are coming to an end. My only sliver of
hope is to keep my head down and do as I am told.” Stan told him.

" You are an officer Sir. I am bound by my mission parameters to not shout
at you. " Sytuk exclaimed.

" You weren't told to remain in your quarters Sir. I have to clear your
name." Sytuk said. He had much more he had to say but couldn't find the
correct method to do so. His people skills were still a work in progress.
Times like this were frustrating to him. A year ago he wouldn't even have
tried to talk to anyone. Now he wanted to help someone clear their name and
save their reputation.

“ You have to see this from my perspective. Going against regulations and
getting involved. Is just something very foolish. Unless I get reinstated
as a security officer. There is no way I can get involved. Plus what if we
screw up? It will confirm my guilt. No I am sorry but I canna help.” Stan
said sadly.

Sytuk closed his eyes. He felt the struggle within. He had been sent here
to help Stan work on clearing his name but was ordered to not reveal that
to Ensign More. Sytuk clinched his fist as he shook with frustration. He
had always followed orders to the letter, but he couldn't help it anymore.
Finally he snapped.

" Ensign More, I was sent here to help you clear your name. I am under
direct orders from Lieutenant Ravok to assist you in clearing your name. I
was ordered to not disclose that information to you yet I have failed....
The Lieutenant had to remove you from duty according to procedure. "

( reply Stan)

" He was not required to confine you to quarters. You have to look at this
from the mind of a Romulan. Lieutenant Ravok fitted you with a tracking
device with a direct link to a CN type 2 tracking device. To help ensure
that if another murder happened your locations would be logged in a
database not connected to the ships main computer. Trust me I know a thing
or two about Romulans . Even when their intentions are good they are masked
in secrecy. They are hardly ever direct with anything they do." He admitted.

( reply Stan)

" That's right." Sytuk said as he stepped closer to Stan and lowered the
volume of his voice.

" Lieutenant Ravok wants to help you, but he is bound by duty to not help
you directly. He wants me to help you. "

Sytuk stopped. He was betraying his orders to remain silent.

" If we keep our eyes and ears open we can find out who did this." Sytuk
said , holding to convince Ensign More.
