“No and that in itself is worrisome. Our scanners are some of the best in the fleet and the fact that they are able to hide these items in a way that we cannot pick them up is very concerning.”
"That isn’t good,” she commented trying to think of why that might be the case.
“We need to find them and fast. Not only that but, if we do, we may be able to ascertain some small trail to lead us to whoever did this to us, to Nix.”
Janice sat back into the chair thinking deeply, “I concur – the quicker we find them the better.” She raised her brow as the words of, ‘us, to Nix’ rang in her head as she made an assumption that there must have been some deeper connection Nix and Erin.
“What do you suggest? I mean, i know what i am looking for but it’s the how we do that that i am struggling with.”
“We have a few options,” Janice started sitting forward in the seat, “One – An intense search of the ship bow to stern. Two – We think up why we cant detect them and try to tweak the scanners. Three – We find some way to force the persons hand into using them. Four – All of the above.”

“I never said the options were easy,” she gave a little shrug before adding more, “The problem with a full search of the ship is that it might give whomever took them an opportunity to use or place them – but it could be enough to provoke them into moving them to a new hiding place and giving us a window to locate them?”
(Reply Cortez)
“It all hypothetical – without know more about who we are looking for its like playing a game of chess where you can only see your own pieces,” Janice gave a scratch of her head and looked at Cortez, “You didn’t take them did you?”
(Reply Cortez)
“Sorry – I had to ask – you’d be surprised how often the response to that can catch someone out when the don’t expect to be asked,”
