(USS Exeter - Bridge - Lt Jg Greta Smith - 1215)



Walking onto the bridge, Greta walked straight to the tactical station and
began to set up her console. Her mind was doubly occupied, trying to keep
her focus on her job and doing it well, but then there was Ire.



Having not had the chance to speak to him since he left that morning to go
to security, her mind was whirring with the possibilities of what had
happened. Stifling a yawn, she turned her focus back to the console and
began to run scans of the ships weapons. Something had bothered her since
Ire had left.



>From the rumours she had heard, there were five people being talked to. All
of them had spoken to the Commander in the days before his death. Popular
opinion as to who had done the deed was split. Most people had seemed to
discount Ire straight away. She knew that the problem with an investigation
on a ship like theirs was rumour.



Rumour gets in the way, rumour tends to stick to a person more than an
actual investigation or conviction. Rumours have a way of taking on a life
of their own. Right now, plenty were flying about the ship. Rubbing her
forehead, Greta sighed.
