“Anything detectable by this type of shifting? Sub-particle byproducts,
Quantum state fluctuation? I mean it’s been a while since my transporter
physics lectures, but I was listening in...some..of them.” Bracken admitted.

Ravok had his eyes closed and was thinking while Keira and Ailynn were
talking about the seemingly forbidden shifting mode of transport. His
father told him that it was a field of transport technology sometimes used
by Romulan agencies to get in and out of places in a more efficient yet
personally risky method.

" Dead cells don't have the same phase imprint values as living cells. "
Ravok blurted out.

" Dead cells like those found in hair and skin are affected by shifting
because they no longer have the resistance to cellular degradation that
living cells have. Over time living cells will begin to reflect the typical
cellular damage associated with that means of transport, but hair and skin
cells start breaking down almost instantly." He explained. He was not a
biological wizard by any means but he had a knack for retaining
information. Sometimes making him a good source of useless knowledge.
