Mission: Murder on the Exeter Express
Day: 2
Stardate: 2445.12.02
(USS Exeter –Observation Lounge - CO, Captain Trip Williams - 1200)
Trip sat patiently in his chair at the front of the conference table. He
made sure that the holographic displays at the individual seats of his
command staff were working properly so that they can present their
findings. It was an odd moment. Normally he would have his whole senior
staff present, but it would not be appropriate at this time. While he was
sure they would be quickly ruled out, his Chief Flight, Science, and
Operations Officer were currently persons of interest. His Chief Medical
Officer was also out sick. So he would have to make due with his First,
Second, and Third officers who were currently running the investigation. He
hated that they were having to do this investigation to begin with. Not
that he wanted a murderer to go free, it was the whole fact that there was
a murderer to begin with, it just, made him want to scream. But he was
going to do his best, to stay grounded, level headed, and mature, even
though this was one of the few times since he graduated from the academy
that he felt like a green 23 year old.
He looked at his assembled officers and sighed, "Sorry for cutting into
your lunch times. Normally I'd have food service for this, but I didn't
think it was appropriate given the subject matter to be discussed. I don't
want anyone to...." Trip paused, "Lose their lunch so to speak."

Trip then activated his display that attempted to show a timeline of
events. "Now then, we have a dead officer on our hands and a lot more
questions than answers at the moment. So, let's put our pieces of the
puzzle and see what we can figure out. So who wants to go first?"
