Mission: Space was cool before it mattered
Day: 1
Stardate: 2446.04.25
(USS Exeter - Chief Operations Officer's Office - COO, LT Janice Hammerfield - 0701)
Sitting at her desk Janice push another PADD to the side and picked up the next one beside her. Glancing over it she looked up the sensor scheduling on her computer ~How many times does Chambers want that sensor array for?~ With a shake of her head she started to allocate some space to her so it didn’t overlap with other operations that might be affected by it. It wasn’t exactly what she was after but part of it was all about compromise. ~Next...~ She reached out for the next PADD.
"Sorry for the interruption lieutenant," Trip said as he entered her office. "I was in the neighborhood so I thought I would stop in and say hello."
Putting her newly acquired PADD on the desk she looked up, “Captain – not at all. Pull up a seat.” Pulling herself more upright she pushed her computer back down into her desk so it did not distract her.
"So how are we doing this fine morning? Everything good in the mystical, magical land of OPS?"
“If you could tell people to do less work it would make my life easier – I swear the amount of power some people want to draw from the ship we might need to magic up a few extra reactors,” she joked giving a smile then gave a nod to the small stack of PADDs resting on the side of her desk, “Its been business as usual mostly. Honestly most people don’t come down here unless they are after something – anything we can sort out for you- or do I pop a couple cups of tea from the replicator?”
