(USS Exeter- Holodeck– CFO - Lieutenant - Ire Williams - 1654)

 

Ire stepped into the holodeck.

“Computer activate Klingon training scenario.”

The room changed to an underground cavern with sand coveredfloor and flaming braziers on the walls casting flickering light across theroom. He walked to the centre of the room, shook his arms and rolled his shoulderas he prepared himself. He moved himself into the beginning stance of the Mok’bara,took a deep breath and exhaled long to clear his mind. He moved into the firstmove, breathing slowly as his body flowed from one movement to the other. Blocksflowed into attacks, flowed into faints, flowed into side steeps as he movedthrough the forms that he had been taught.      

He finally stood straight with his hands be his side as hetook a deep breath and exhaled. He nodded to himself happy with his routine butnoted a couple of places where he needed to tweak.

“Computer one bat’leth and a Klingon opponent armed with abat’leth.”

The bat’leth appraised by his side and a large Klingon malein full battle armour holding a bat’leth at the ready appeared inform of him.He grinned as he picked up the Bat’leth and gave it a practice swing. He wasmore of a knife fighter rather then something as big as a Bat’leth but if hewas going with Ravok to a Klingon bat’leth competition he was sure that withthe amount of drinking that Klingons do when they all get together that hewould need to be ready for anything. He would make sure that he would take theknife that Merek had make for him. Having a back up weapon would not be a badidea. He hoped he would remember enough of his bat’leth lessons when he wasyounger not to get himself injured or worse.

“Computer begin.”

He swung the bat’leth into a ready guard stance as theKlingon charged with a below of rage.
