"I am done packing, just have to get my things transported to the ship." 

Opening the bag he pulled out the two smaller packages, placing them on the desk, turning the larger flatter one towards Katie, Paul smiled.

“I hope I got the right size and colour.”

Opening the package he revealed a full length pale blue dress.

Katie looked at the dress and was in the process of checking the size as Paul knelt before her. 

Taking the smaller of the two he got off the chair, lowering himself onto his ‘good’ knee Paul opened the box.

“Kaitlin Jamison, would you do me the honour of becoming Mrs Katie Sleeford.”

She dropped the dress and did a double take as her gaze went from his face to the ring. It took her a minute to find her voice as tears welled up in her eyes.

"....yes.... yes..." 

She held out her hand so he could slip the ring on her finger, her eyes sparkling with joy through the tears.
