NRPG: merging into one thread now

Mission: Andromeda's Chain

Stardate: 2446.01.03

=/\= Okay, I have just gotten out of a meeting and will take a look when i get to astrometrics. Cortez out =/\=

“Um Sir.”

Janice looked up at Vosi and tilted her head a little to the side to show she was listening.

“While you were out one of the engineering staff came past and said that Commander Merek is going to be the new FO. They said that people are worried about her being the FO with all the stuff that Q had done to affect everyone. As well as the Comm..I mean Captain Bracken being so close to the skipper. People are worried that they are both emotionally compromised.”

“Everyone has been through a lot,” Janice gave a half smile and furrowed her brow a little, “There can be a fine line between compromised and drive. Sometimes it can be a focus. Our jobs should be to support them currently and make sure that focus stays in the right place. If anyone has any concerns – let them know they are free to bring them to me. Regardless – our primary duty is to the safety of this ship and its crew.” Before Vosi had a chance to reply and Janice to continue Cortez cut back in over the comm.

=/\= Cortez to Hammersfield. =/\=

"Go ahead,” she replied.

=/\= Could you and Ensign Vosi meet me in Astrometrics immediately and bring with you any data or findings you have. Same as before, Lieutenant. =/\=

"Understood. We will be there shortly,”

=/\= Thank you, Lieutenant. As soon as you can. =/\=

The channel closed and she turned back to Vosi, “Do you follow what I’m getting at?”

(Reply Vosi)

“Thanks for letting me know – Ill chase it up when I can. Right now though...” Janice tapped her PADD downloading the data to it ready to bring to Cortez. “If you’re done with the switch lets get our butts over to the astrometric lab.”

(Reply Vosi)

Entering the lab a second time today Jancie was happy not to walk in on anything happening this time, “LT – we have that data for you. How did your meeting go?”

(Reply Vosi, Cortez)

Janice gave a nod in response as she tapped her PADD to overlay the comparison they found of the local star clusters to that of their native galaxy, “This is what we have. Local clusters don’t match up from where we would expect them to be and a lack of any comms on a Starfleet frequency. I was discussing with Mister Vosi is there was some way we might be in the wrong time period still and the locations might be off from stellar drift as an angle to check – but im open to anything else you have going too. The tech all checks out. No problems.”

(Reply Vosi, Cortez, any)
