Family and Background

Charles Edward Tamblyn was born in Kansas City, Kansas on Earth and raised in a small town in Texas called Alice. His mother was a single parent raising a polite yet rebellious son. Ila Tamblyn worked as a bookkeeper to earn to provide for the two of them.

Education

Acquired a Bachelor's degree from Hardy-Knox University in Multi-Disciplinary Studies With a focus on Criminal Justice. Starfleet trained as a Logistics Specialist, and Ship's Navigator. Certified and Licensed Private Investigator and Bounty Hunter

Pre-Starfleet History

Growing up, Charles was not much of a student and was regularly delinquent in attending classes. Upon graduating from secondary school, Tamblyn found that he did not qualify to attend Starfleet Academy or most any respectable university. He did get a job as a Starfleet Civilian as a Specialty Courier. To qualify for training, Charles (and others like him) simply had to accept that they were completely 100% expendable and if he was ever captured that he never existed in the eyes of the United Federation of Planets.

Starfleet History

At the age of 21, Tamblyn enlisted into Starfleet as a Crewman Third-Class (E1). After 10 years of service, Charles was Honorably Discharged from active service in Starfleet as a Petty-Officer Second-Class (E5). After a one-year break in service, Tamblyn was involuntarily recalled to service and placed into the Starfleet Reserves. Tamblyn was encouraged to return to active duty, where he served another five years, after having served two years in the Starfleet Reserves. When Charles finished his second active duty enlistment, he re-enlisted returning to the Reserves in which he has since been mobilized to active status three times over a period of eight years and is currently serving his fourth mobilization. Tamblyn has served an excess of 25 years total service; 15 active duty, 10 reserves with 3 completed mobilizations. Throughout his career, Tamblyn served in a variety of capacities and attended every class he could. He had attended classes for Special Operations, Ordinance Disposal, Anti-Terrorism, and Hazardous Shipment Certification in addition to Starship Navigation, Starship and Starbase Operations, Logistics and Transportation, and Security. When Tamblyn is not on Active Duty or Mobilized status, he is employed by Impetuous Industries as a contractor with the Department of Criminal Justice Services as a Private Investigator and Bounty Hunter. He also serves as executive assistant to the company’s owner and chief operative, T’Lela. Medical History

Charles is a 46-year-old, Human Caucasian male, with blue eyes and dark blond hair; and at 69 inches tall, weighing 215 pounds, he is a handsome man in a plain-looking way with a slightly weathered look about him; clean-shaven; neatly groomed, short hair; a warm, encouraging smirk usually on his face; with a calm and determined look in his eye and walks with the swagger of a true survivor. His list of past injuries includes being stabbed, shot, and various fractured bones. A small portion of his injuries resulted from actual battle; the others were from firefights he was involved in at various times of his Non-Starfleet career. He doesn’t mind regenerators being used on his internal organs but prefers they not be used on his skin. A psychologist at the academy wrote in his dossier “Subject exhibits an unusual moral ambiguity while repeatedly using unorthodox methods that continually exhibit unique resourcefulness in order to achieve objectives. Depending on the situation, the subject employs scruples in an inconsistent manner.” When asked about combat situations that he was involved in, subject simply states “I really didn’t do that much. I made mission happen which saved lives.”
