Counselor

Family and Background

:

Braeden Kodai was born in Detroit to a human mother and betazoid father. Both of them were counselors, which was how they met. Growing up in that environment Braeden was struck by the trauma people had to suffer. He saw and heard of people who were flat out broken. Rather than following in his parents footsteps he became a criminal profiler for the security force. Being half-betazoid he does not have the full range of telepathic abilities shared by that species. He has strong empathic abilities, and in many cases can determine whether someone is lying based on touch. These abilities made him a prized criminal profiler for the city. But police work and his empathic abilities didn't jive well and eventually he chose to leave the force. He became a counselor like his parents and joined Starfleet to explore strange new worlds and make use of his particular set of skills.

Heinrich waved his scruffy brown hair out of his eyes and found himself in a 20th century style jail cell. Across from him was another cell, occupied by Trinity Frost. The only other entity in the room was a man in an all black starfleet uniform. He saw him shake his head. “Interesting…” the entity said. He had no idea what was going on. Just a few moments ago he was on set, now he’s in a cell. Though, in some way, it was really no different. He began to suspect that this entity had something to do with the simulation. He was somewhat exhilerated by this realization, but he was also overcome with shock. All he could manage was a feeble, “What?”
