Your mind is still in that moment. Imagine that but lasting a lot longer. It felt like what's about here is the real dream.” "I Don't think so…" “Maybe Kyle had something similar happen, but don’t worry about it. Just make sure you get your butt over to my place and we can have a relaxing night ok? If you're late I will come and find you – especially if the pizza gets cold.” Gen nodded, smiled and replied, "I won't be late. I need a night away. Something is telling me that this is the right thing to do. (Reply Hammersfield) Sighing heavily, Gen opened her phone again and looked at the picture that was still showing. ~who are you Lance Steele and why do I feel so connected to you?~ (Reply Hammersfield) (Reply Hammersfield) (Posted by Jackie) (Toronto, Canada - Outside Pinewood Studios - ACEO Lieutenant Janice Hammerfield / Ava Kelly – 1057) Gen nodded, smiled and replied, "I won't be late. "Eight to nine,” Janice said again pointing both fingers at her before backing off and turning round to continue on her hunt for parts. ~Hopefully that gave her a bit of a kick – We’ll see later tonight I guess. Hope shes really ok.~ (Reply none needed) (Posted by Adam) (The Realm of Trials - Judgment Zone 45- Judge Albright Colado-1200) Judge Albright Colado manifested within his judgment zone. It was a large cargo area of an unspecified starfleet vessel. The cargo area was a large oval section of the ship. With 12 airlocks around its perimeter. Judge Albright Colado's physical form was that of a shadow figure. Turning his attention to a particular airlock, two officers appeared sealed within it, between the airlock's two massive doors. The officers were Commander Ailynn Bracken , the Exeter's first officer. The other person to appear was Lieutenant Greta Smith, a tactical officer of the Exeter. Both women appeared in their uniforms. ( Reply Bracken and Smith) In a sinister and ominous tone he spoke to them, his voice surrounding them. " My name is Judge Albright Colado , great judge of the realm of trials, servant of Quella, most beautiful of the Q Continuum, though you know her as Addison Queen. In agreement with your captain, you are to be tested. Prepare yourselves... ( reply Bracken and Smith) ( posted By Rob) (The Realm of Trials - Judgment Zone 45- FO Cmdr Ailynn Bracken-1201) Ailynn had just been leaving her trailer, rather Gabbie’s trailer, her mind finally beginning to shake clear the miasma that had forced down her intellect since her awakening what seemed an aeon ago, internally she cursed herself, she had allowed herself to become almost enwombed by the entrancing nature of the world around her. Had she really been that person? The one that desired recognition? Or was that as much a glammer as all the rest of the facade that surrounded her. She looked up at the figure, then saw Greta across from her. To acknowledge the Judge first would be to give him power, so she started trying to change the dynamic straight off. “Hey G!” (Reply Greta) “You okay babe?” Ailynn looked around her, buying time as she allowed her mind to expand to its surroundings. (reply Greta) “Yeah me too...I just had a chat with my dad...which is weird all things considered.” " My name is Judge Albright Colado , great judge of the realm of trials, servant of Quella, most beautiful of the Q Continuum, though you know her as Addison Queen. In agreement with your captain, you are to be tested. Prepare yourselves…” Ailynn piped up, taking mental note regarding what he was saying, but using the moment’s confusion to settle herself “Is this me?” She called out. (Reply Colado) “I am either of two diasposed poles. I am either a moment in a simulacra, or I am the real me. Since I am here then I am to assume that this...is the real me, and will continue to be so?” Ailynn snapped her attention to him. Her gaze, gentle, playful almost. (Reply Colado) (Posted by Mark) (The Realm of Trials - Judgment Zone 45 - Lieutenant Greta Smith - 1203) It was an airlock. That was the first thing she had realised. Not remembering where she had been just before this, Greta knew instantly this wasn’t good. “Hey G!” Turning, she saw the FO standing near her. "Ma'am." She replied succinctly. “You okay babe?” "A little confused right now but otherwise fine." Greta replied. ~okay, so the first officer is here… this can't be good. Either that batch isn't dead and we're on the holodeck or this is something entirely different. ~ she thought to herself as she looked around. “Yeah me too...I just had a chat with my dad...which is weird all things considered.” Then a voice spoke. One she didn't know. One that, for some reason, put fear into her. She stood stock still, listened as her brain whirled trying to figure things out. ~a test? The captain wouldn't agree to this. There's no way. But, of he did, he must know we will pass.~ As Commander Bracken spoke to the figure that had identified itself as the judge, Greta scanned the room they were in. No apparent way out. "If I may, what sort of test is this?" (Reply Colado) (Reply Colado) (Posted by Jackie) (The Realm of Trials - Judgment Zone 45 - Judge Albright Colado- 1204) “I am either of two diasposed poles. I am either a moment in a simulacra, or I am the real me. Since I am here then I am to assume that this...is the real me, and will continue to be so?” Ailynn snapped her attention to him. Her gaze, gentle, playful almost. Judge Colado's shadowy form approached the window of the airlock door from inside the shuttle bay, placing what could be his hand on the window. As he did the window began to ice over. The air within the airlock grew colder. " Ailynn Bracken, Daughter of Aimee Bracken and Mil Nicholae. You are very much you here in this Judgment zone. Your continual existence as the woman you are is dependent upon the events of this trial, and others." Colado said, his deep voice surrounding them inside the airlock. ( reply Bracken) " While both of you are remarkable beings, neither of you are solely fit to determine the continued survival of the others. Not at this point in your linear existence." ( reply Bracken) "If I may, what sort of test is this?" Greta asked. Colado's form shifted across the glass, as if he was looking at Greta directly. " Test is such a simple word for what is about to happen. You are on trial." ( reply Greta) " Both of you are capable women, strong in many ways , but weak in others. Can you both set aside your struggles to work as a team? Can you find the ability to work outside your comfort zones ? Or will your insecurities hold you back? " ( reply Bracken and Greta) Colado's form moved away from the glass window. As he did the airlock lit up brighter than it had been previously. Circuitry on the walls came to life. Noises could be heard crackling through the chamber that surrounded them. The ambient hums of the airlock filled the air. ( reply Bracken and Greta) ( posted by Rob ) (Toronto, Canada, Pinewood Studios, Gabrielle Knight’s trailer – FO Cmdr Ailynn Bracken/Gabrielle Knight and Joshua Baskin – 1225) The last couple of hours had been nothing short of exhausting. She had been on set, filming what should have been an inconsequential scene between her and a couple of others, but it seemed that no matter what they all did, nothing was right, the lighting, the delivery the positioning, they had even rewritten her sentences on the fly, finding the prepared dialogue stilted. It had only been when Ailynn had gone up to the floor director and after a few sharp words given her direction of how people really behaved in such scenarios. She found herself settling back into Command, after which the scene had run beautifully. Afterward, one or two of the senior floor staff had begun to have conversations about executive producer, whatever the hell that had meant. Walking back to her trailer she took a bottle of water off her PA who also passed her the sheet for the afternoon, seeing that she wasn’t on it, she decided to shower, get into something more comfy and actually do her job; she’d allowed herself to become far too distracted by things around her. Stepping through to the small shower unit, she had a quick rinse, washing off the awful makeup, and rinsed the spray out of her hair, Gabbie it seemed, kept the small bathroom stocked with her favourite shampoos and conditioners, other toiletries too, and so by the time Ailynn had finished, dressed and her hair dried using the rather archaic looking, though seemingly modern hair dryer, she was ready to take on the rest of the day. “Hello?” A man’s voice called from the other side of the door, followed by a knock. “Hi! Come in. I’m decent!” she answered. The door opened, to reveal a man in his 50s, hair that was obviously once dark though now iron grey, distinguished looking. He was tall, an inch or so above her, though carried perhaps a few too many pounds around his middle. Instantly, Ailynn recognise him from a few pictures back at her apartment. “Hi Dad.” she welcomed, taking note of the lanyard around his neck “What brings you here? Working here today?” “Popkin; Come here.” He held his arms out for a hug, a gentle smile on his face. Ailynn smiled warmly and allowed herself to be pulled into a close familial hug. She wasn’t exactly prepared for the feeling that surrounded her. She’d only really had on father figure in her life, and that had been Trip and Sienna’s father, who had always treated her as one of his own. This though was different on the most profound level. She’d obviously been hugged by many people, Duke and Trip notwithstanding. Now though, the way his arms enfolded her and surrounded her back his shoulders somehow holding hers as his strong arms pulled her into the paternal embrace that she had all her life yearned to feel. There was a smell too, it fired connections in her mind that she hadn’t even ever considered being there, she found herself resting her head on his shoulder entranced by both the physical nature of the embrace and the spiritual feeling behind it. “You smell nice.” She found herself saying. “It’s that stuff you did the advert for, whatever it was called.” He replied smiling, “I always use it. Gotta keep my baby living off the royalties eh?” Ailynn smiled. “So what gives you come to check I’m not skipping school on my first day?” Laughing he shrugged, letting go of her. “Just passing, thought I’d say hi. Chappie at the gate signed me in. Nice setup here, people always busy on these things.” Ailynn nodded, something nudging the back of her mind. “Yeah, lots of waiting too though, they always seem disorganised.” “It happens, things change. Especially when some people get the giggles.” he gently prodded her on the shoulder. “I’ve been good this time.” Ailynn replied. “So, tell me your boyfriend, Ry...elle?” There was a tone about it, the way he said it seemed to be purposeful. “Ryan.” Ailynn answered, feeling her heart skip slightly. “Has he asked you yet? He certainly hasn’t my permission yet.” “Daddy, it isn’t the 18th century, he doesn’t need your permission to ask my hand, which in fact, he has.” “And….come on don’t leave your old man hanging.” Ailynn sighed. “As a matter of fact, I said yes.” She smiled. “Oh Popkin, I’m so happy.” He hugged her again briefly. “Your life is coming together so beautifully now. Surrounded by all the happiness that you’ve always wanted.” He smiled, and touched her cheek gently, a familiar gesture to her. “Yeah it is.” Ailynn sighed happily. “I’m...happy.” The part that was the back of her mind was screaming, trying to get her attention over her higher order thinking. Slowly, a few things slotted into place in her mind. She didn’t however, change her manner, the last couple of hours pretending to be something she wasn’t had been a distraction, Now she was trying not to be something that she was. Her mind reeled at the thought. “Yeah, I haven’t put the ring on today because you know being on set and all, but we’ll celebrate at the weekend probably, throw a party at the apartment. I have a couple of job offers too, a show for Givenchy again, and some stuff for Lucasfilm that I can’t talk about.” “Ah. Keeping yourself busy, that’s my girl. You sink back and enjoy your life, now that you’ve found it all.” Ailynn nodded. “I will.” “Look, I have to go, Call you later?” “Of course. If I miss the call I’ll call you back.” she smiled happily. Her father hugged her once more, a look in his eyes seemingly happy now, his entire mannerism more calm looking and relaxed. “Later Popkin.” He turned and left the trailer, the door shutting behind him. Walking down between the trailers in mid step there was a small flash of green light, and his tall heavyset figure melted into Faith’s far more petite figure. “Well...Miss Bracken. We won’t be seeing any more of you. You won’t be able to be causing me any trouble.” Back in her trailer, Ailynn exhaled, glad of the gut feeling that she’d had. Everything had been off about the entire encounter, but the once giveaway was the lanyard. Not for the first time she was glad of her scrupulous attention to detail. His lanyard had been green, showing an actor, all visitors had red lanyards. Mistakes happened, sure, but one thing that Ailynn had noticed was that the security was tight, and the guards at the gate knew their job. The hackles were up at the back of her neck, something was very very badly wrong, and she’d allowed herself to become hypnotised by the siren song of this world. Slowly, she pulled herself back together to what she’d consider her normal true self. (Reply none) (Posted by Mark) (The Realm of Trials - Judgment Zone 105- Judge Rutabaga Pittsburgh-1230) In a flash of light, Judge Rutabaga Pittsburgh, a large, sentient, gelatinous cube, entered into the middle of a room designed to look like the engine room of a diesel submarine, baleo class if one were to be precise. He was happy to be judging this trial. A trial to test the mettle, resolve, and worthiness of the Exeter Crew. If he had a mouth, he would be smiling, but he didn't because he was a gelatinous cube that communicated by some semblance of telepathy. If he had hands he would be rubbing them in anticipation, but hands were another thing he lacked. Technically he also lacked a brain, but what he lacked in a brain, he made up for in imagination. He was Judge Rutabaga Pittsburgh, the best damn Gelatinous cube this side of creation. As he surveyed the engine room of the U.S.S. Stingray, he jiggled a bit as before him appeared to of the Exeter's officers. The first was Lt. Commander Keira Merek, dressed in the Naval Uniform of a US Naval Officer circa 1945 (even though at that time women were not allowed to serve onboard a submarine). The second was Petty Officer Ewan McDonald, dressed in the uniform of an enlisted Sailor of the United States Navy circa 1945. ::Welcome:: Rutbaga, or Baga to his friends said to the new arrivals, speaking directly into their heads. ::My name is Judge Rutabaga Pittsburgh, great judge of the realm of trials, servant of Quella, most beautiful of the Q Continuum, though you know her as Addison Queen. In agreement with your captain, you are to be tested. Now before we begin, do you have any questions?:: (reply McDonald, Merek) (reply McDonald, Merek) (posted by Will) (The Realm of Trials - Judgment Zone 15- Judge S.K. Dredd -1245) Judge Sylvestor Keith Dredd walked the sterile white room of his judgement Zone. He wore a black military style uniform that looked odd on him. Not because he didn't look good in a uniform, but because he was a minotaur wearing pants. What a sight to see. He was gruff, he was rough, and he was no nonsense. As the Judge of Judgement zone his trial would not be for the weak of heart. In a flash the room changed into a wooden shack, with a tropical jungle outside. The shack had missing thatches in the roof and appeared to be made out of something resembling bamboo. There was a small window with no panes, and a windowless door. In a flash he was joined by two of the Exeter's crew. The first was Erin Cortez, dressed in a Lara croft style outfit. The Second was Ash Williams, the captain's wife. She was wearing a grey tank top and cargo pants with expedition boots. There was a single table in the middle of the room with two chairs. "Welcome." he snorted, "My name is Judge S.K. Dredd, great judge of the realm of trials, servant of Quella, most beautiful of the Q Continuum, though you know her as Addison Queen. In agreement with your captain, you are to be tested. Now before we begin, please take a seat and do not be afraid to ask any questions." (reply Ash, Erin) (reply Ash, Erin) (posted by Will) (The Realm of Trials - Judgment Zone 15 - CSO Lt Erin Cortez - 1247) Opening her eyes, the first thing she realised was warmth. Wherever she was now was warm. Looking around, she realised that she was in a wooden shack and it was then that it hit her. She realised she was Erin. Not Gen. All the memories of the life she had been living were still there but she remembered it all. Giving up her life on the Exeter to be Gen. To be confident, loved and respected. Taking a breath, she turned her head and realised two things concurrently. One, she was not alone and was not in uniform. The Captain’s wife was next to her, similarly not in a uniform but in an outfit that was fit for the scene they were in. Second, she realised that there was a creature from ancient Greek myth sat before hem on the opposite side of a table. "Welcome." he snorted, "My name is Judge S.K. Dredd, great judge of the realm of trials, servant of Quella, most beautiful of the Q Continuum, though you know her as Addison Queen. In agreement with your captain, you are to be tested. Now before we begin, please take a seat and do not be afraid to ask any questions." Stepping forward and slightly infront of Ash, Erin looked at the creature, "Firstly, the captain agreed to this?" (Reply Dredd) "He agreed to have his pregnant wife tested?" (Reply Dredd) "I will do your tests. Not her. She's pregnant, with child and she will not be harmed. Whatever you want to do, that's for me. Not her. Send her back and I will do whatever you want." (Reply Dredd, Ash) (Reply Dredd, Ash) (Posted by Jackie) (The Realm of Trials - Judgment Zone 105- Nurse - CPO – Ewan McDonald -1247) Ewan paused as he found himself in confined room with a lot of large heavy machinery crammed into its curved sides. He was wearing some sort of military uniform that he did not recognize but before he could speak a voice boomed in his mind. ::Welcome:: He turned almost banging his head on an unforeseen metallic object that was protruding out at an unfathomable angle. ::My name is Judge Rutabaga Pittsburgh, great judge of the realm of trials, servant of Quella, most beautiful of the Q Continuum, though you know her as Addison Queen. In agreement with your captain, you are to be tested. Now before we begin, do you have any questions?:: He realized that the strange gelatinous cube he had taken as a strange part of the room was actually this Rutabaga. “Yes. tested for what?” (Reply Pittsburgh) He saw more movement out the corner of his eye and realised that there was another person in the room. He looked over to see Merek in a military uniform and realised that she was in charge. “Sorry sir.” (Reply Merek) He moved out for the way so that she could pass him in the tight quarters and talk to the Q. (Reply Merek, Pittsburgh) (Posted by Robbie) (The Realm of Trials - Judgment Zone 105 – 2O/CEO, Lt. Cmdr. Now before we begin, do you have any questions?:: ~Who is this voice in my head and what is this place and what is that smell?~ Keira said looking at the semi-solid mass in front of her. “Yes. tested for what?” Ewan demanded. Then looked over at Keira. “Sorry sir.” “No offense was taken. I’d like to know as well.” Keira agreed. She looked around trying to gather information that she would need for whatever was going on. She was wearing a uniform, Khaki colored with ranks on her shoulders that reminded her of Starfleet’s sleeve insignia from the 23rd century, though she wasn’t immediately familiar with it’s origin. The letters on the name tag spelled her name Merek in Earth language, and block style letters. “We’re in Earth’s past, but possibly farther back.” Keira announced to warn Ewan, and as a comfort for herself. “My mom would be disappointed I didn’t remember some of the finer points of her history lessons.” (Reply Judge, Ewan) (Posted by Todd) (The Realm of Trials - Judgment Zone 15 - R&Se Director Ashlyn Williams - 1248) Ashlyn slowly felt herself come around. The last thing she clearly remembered was slipping away from the new years party with Trip, then going to bed, her last memory was slowly drifting off to sleep in his arms a while later. Now though she stood in a wooden hut surrounded by tropical jungle, the warmth and distant rain suggested the latter. She wore a grey tank top and cargo pants, that seemed to fit admittedly rather well around her bump. On her feet were hiking boots, again, comfy and properly worn in. Turning slightly, she saw that Erin was with her, similarly dressed. Although not as close to her as Ailynn was, Ash thought a lot of the young CSO, sharing in her trauma on more than one occasion. "Welcome." he snorted, "My name is Judge S.K. Dredd, great judge of the realm of trials, servant of Quella, most beautiful of the Q Continuum, though you know her as Addison Queen. In agreement with your captain, you are to be tested. Now before we begin, please take a seat and do not be afraid to ask any questions." Stepping forward and slightly infront of Ash, Erin looked at the creature, "Firstly, the captain agreed to this?" Ash leant quietly against the wall by where she had appeared, listening to the exchange between Erin and the ‘Judge’ she was keeping quiet for the moment, letting the scene play out in front of her but her mind was busy. "I will do your tests. Not her. She's pregnant, with child and she will not be harmed. Whatever you want to do, that's for me. Not her. Send her back and I will do whatever you want." Her heart swelled at Erin’s protectiveness, a deep, warm and maternal smile reached Ashlyn’s face. “That’s very sweet Erin, thank you dear. Are you okay?” (Reply Cortez) “I know, and believe me, this is not my choice of weather. Risa was dry at least, you have no idea how uncomfortable this humidity is carrying the extra burden. On that note actually.” Ashlyn turned to Dredd. ~What would Ailynn or Trip be doing now? Buy time Ash...buy us some time so Erin can start getting her head together.~ “So. There’s a couple of things. You expect me to believe that Trip okayed you taking me for your perverse avocation? Secondly, you’ve trapped a pregnant woman in a hut, in the tropical rain. I really need to pee.” (Reply Dredd, Cortez) (Posted by Mark) (The Realm of Trials - Judgment Zone 15 - Judge SK Dredd - 1250) Dredd listened as the two participants talked back and forth. Secondly, you’ve trapped a pregnant woman in a hut, in the tropical rain. I really need to pee.” Dredd smiled, and clapped. "There, as long as the trial is going on, you will not need to evacuate bodily wastes. Best not to ask questions where the contents of your bladder just vanished to." (reply Ash iyw) "Now then, your captain agreed to have his crew tested to show they were up to the challenges of your future. You as his wife are part of his crew. All 590 souls are being tested. He had no choice. If even one of you were not to participate, the trial would be considered forfeit, and you will all go back to the world Quella created for you. Do you really want to go back to that world, where you hate your husband, and he shares a bed with the almighty Quella?" (reply Ash) "Now then for your trial." He paused and smiled as an old earth revolver appeared on the table in the middle of the room and the window and the door disappeared. "That revolver has one bullet. That bullet must be fired. Only one of you can leave this hut. You have four hours. Enjoy. I'll be watching." Judge Dredd then disappeared, and in his place was a countdown clock, counting down from four hours. Ash was incensed. “Shares a what now?” The revelation that Addison had been a Q had upset her. She had genuinely taken to the young girl, she had come on board and thrown herself into her work, and life on board the ship. Addison had been a pleasure to mentor. “The both of them had better hope I never get out of here. Shares a bed indeed.” "Now then for your trial." He paused and smiled as an old earth revolver appeared on the table in the middle of the room and the window and the door disappeared. "That revolver has one bullet. That bullet must be fired. Only one of you can leave this hut. You have four hours. Enjoy. I'll be watching." Judge Dredd then disappeared, and in his place was a countdown clock, counting down from four hours. Staring in horror at the table, Ash felt her blood run cold. Her first lucid thought was for her child, her second was for her husband, and Ailynn, who no doubt would be going through similar traumas. Although she felt slightly sorry for the being that would be dealing with Ailynn. She could be difficult and annoying when she wanted to be, and having already killed one God in six months she wouldn’t put it past her to do it again. As Dredd disappeared, a single thought sat in her mind. ~Tested for what. Why is this necessary?~ (Reply Cortez) (Posted by Mark) (The Realm of Trials - Judgment Zone 63- ACEO, Lt. "Absolutely fascinating. We are being put through a trial of a Q's making, but I am guessing that you are no Q." (reply Judge) "Fascinating." Alistair then turned to Vespers. "Doctor, look at the opportunity before us. We are being challenged by an extradimensional being, created, possibly ex nihilo, by another extra dimensional being, but not in a generative sense, like a child, but for qa singular purpose. A golem, automaton, or sentient puppet, whose sole purpose is to but us through a trial of worth." Judy was an odd duck, though she wasn't a duck. She looked like a 10 year old girl, except she wore a long black, grim reaperesque robe and wield a giant Sycthe that was twice the size of her body. She may have looked innocent and sweet, but she was one of the more vicious of the Judges of the Realm of Trials. In an instant her white emptyless judgement zone transformed into a medieval jousting ring. In a blink appeared Ensign Matthew Fuller and Ensign Arbor. Fuller was dressed in red and blue armor and was seated on a horse, holding a shield and lance. Opposite him on a horse was Arbor wearing White and Green Armor. Smiling, she twirled and danced around them, giggling. The sound of her giggles compared with the size of her scythe presented a very menacing image. "Welcome." she said in a sing song voice, "My name is Judge Judy Anexa Cutioner great judge of the realm of trials, servant of Quella, most beautiful of the Q Continuum, though you know her as Addison Queen. The Judge, called simply that, as no one knew his or her name, entered the vastness of Zone 101. It was their favourite place, if such a being could be said to having a favourite. Dimly, with a mixed smile the figure seated itself with a sigh, and pulled open two manilla folders, each containing multiple reports, statements, and photographs. “Ah yes. Of course.” With a shake of the head, unseen behind the large hooded cowl, they read briefly, and then looked up. “Oh now that is an inconvenience. How unfortunate, nevertheless, none can truly hide from the Judge.” They clicked a finger and two figures appeared, one male Romulan, one female human. Both wore their normal uniform, with a communicator. Not that such a device was of any use in this place. “Commander Ravok, Manager DuBois, welcome to Judgement Zone 101. I have many names from many eaons, you may simply address me as Judge. A surge of emotions was instantly triggered within him, adrenaline coursed through his veins. He had been sealed away long enough. Ravok took a single step towards the figure. " So it's a game you'd like to play ? She had read the mission files concerning the Q while in training at the academy and further while in the diplomatic core. Mastering diplomatic relations with the Q was close to impossible. It seemed the Q wanted to test the crew of the Exeter for reasons of their own, and it seemed like her trial was a literal test of sorts but she knew looks could be deceiving at most where the Q were concerned. When the being before asked if there was any question. She kept her mouth shut there was more to gain in keeping quiet and more to lose by speaking and possibly giving the Q something to use against her. (reply Zot, Judge Lupus) (posted by Matthew Locke) (The Realm of Trials - Judgment Zone 1672 - Judge Yarnek - 1702) Yarnek had slumbered for years since his people made the final judgement to follow the precepts of “Good” in the trials involving many of the other species in the universe. A lengthy conversation with a being named Quella from a Continuum had convinced him to revisit the concepts with the logic of “Science is repeatable.” She reasoned that if the judgement the Excalbians reached more than thirty years ago, testing under similar conditions should garner the same results, or their judgment was flawed. Like the initial trial over a century ago with the beings named Kirk and Spock. Yarnek again was to judge members of the same organization. He clacked his stone claw indicating his readiness. In front of him appeared two beings. This time, one male and one female. Though like the initial trials one was wearing command colors the other a blue indicating sciences. “ Welcome,” Yarnek’s voice toned the sound of vibrating metal made the sounds in their language come out. Parts of his rocky exterior glowed as he spoke. “My name is Judge Yarnek, judge of the realm of trials, servant of Quella, most wise of the Q Continuum, though you know her as Addison Queen. As per your agreement, you are to be tested. Now before we begin, do you have any questions?” (Reply Trip, Cerise) (Posted by Todd) (The Realm of Trials - Judgment Zone 1672 - CO, Captain Trip Williams - 1704) “ Welcome,” Yarnek’s voice toned the sound of vibrating metal made the sounds in their language come out. As per your agreement, you are to be tested. Now before we begin, do you have any questions?” Trip looked at the judge and readied himself. He agreed that he too had to take part of the trials. Of course when the judge mentioned the phrase, you know her as Addison Queen, he sighed. He knew her as Addison Queen, but he also knew her as Faith Morgan. The memories of Tristan, though only those of Tristan's memories that were made after he Trip slipped into Tristan's life and identity, in the brief moments that he lost himself, were his own, memories that felt as if he was the actor, the one who lived them, even though he wasn't in control, they weren't his choices. He assumed they were a "gift" from Quella. So that he would always know her. Every inch of her. Every moment of passion between her and Tristan, every.....well....they were burned into his brain, the memories of Tristan and Faith's romantic encounters. So yes, he knew her as Addison Queen, he knew her as Faith Morgan, he knew her as Quella, and she made sure that he would always know her. But was certain, what was true, what was always at the forefront of his heart, that nothing could shake his love for Ash, that he would never be unfaithful to her, and that Quella had to rewrite his identity and memories just to get him to inviter he into his bed. He knew that too, that nothing would keep him from Ash. "Cerise, you alright?" Trip said going over to the other officer in his trial. (reply Cerise) "It's gonna be ok, just a test, just something to show our worth." (reply Cerise) "You ready?" Her last memory was a rather pleasant good night with Alistair, now she was in an unknown location, she didn’t like the feel of the entire situation, talk of a trial didn’t sit well with her. "Cerise, you alright?" Trip said coming over to the her. “Trip...the frak did you do?” Cerise spoke to him, with a tone of exasperation. "It's gonna be ok, just a test, just something to show our worth." “Ugh. This is like high school again, you remember fitness trials? If we end up doing the beep test again I’m going to be cross with you Williams.” She said. "You ready?" “Yeah I am. As I’ll ever be.”She turned to the Judge, “So let’s hear it.” (Reply Yarnek) (Posted by Mark) (The Realm of Trials - Judgment Zone 1672 - Judge Yarnek – 1708) "You ready?" “Yeah I am. Your peoples have been tested twice before. The first ruling was inconclusive because Good and Evil used similar tactics, a clear judgement could not be determined.” (Reply any) “The second judgment was over thirty of your years ago, it was determined that Evil will stop at nothing to achieve their goals. Not every action need be evil, not every action need be good. Neutral actions are possible." (reply Cerise iyw) "So what of the second judgement?" Trip asked. “The second judgment was over thirty of your years ago, it was determined that Evil will stop at nothing to achieve their goals. Good will help others even with no promise of help in return, even when Evil went outside the boundaries of the examination. Good triumphed over Evil in that trial.” "And even when evil wins, good always finds a way to rise up, to restore balance, to ensure that freedom and the natural rights and inherent dignity of all sentient life are protected. So bring it on." Trip said with resolve. “You are here because if Good is indeed stronger, it and those who champion it should be able to succeed more than once. The judgment must be confirmed.” Yarnek toned. “I will have your questions.” Trip turned to Cerise. "Are you up for this?" (reply Cerise) "Don't worry, this should be up your alley. You weren't the best example of humanity when we were younger, but you are a shining example of how our faults, mistakes, and errors need not define us." (reply Cerise) "I trust you wholeheartedly. You are exactly who we need for this test." (reply Cerise) Trip then turned to the Judge, "Alright, let's begin." (reply Judge) (reply Judge, Cerise) (posted by Will) (The Realm of Trials - Judgment Zone 32 - Judge Quincy the Bug - 1730) Quincy enjoyed what he was about to do since the Quella being approached him about having some fun. She gave him the most powerful weapon in the universe and all he had to do was judge some soft bodied endoskeleton creatures. She did lay some rules down, breaking them she warned would mean “forfeit of your power and your life”. Nevertheless he could hear the excited chittering of his mandibles, through his carapace. He was given two specific beings to judge. He thought it amusing that they needed special tools to do a fraction of what he could do naturally with his carapace, his blade-like appendages and his six eyes that was before the device she gave him that he wore on his right front claw. He would show these creatures that humanoid life is not the most advanced in the galaxy. His zone was in orbit around a harsh world. He was in the middle of space and the device encircled around his claw protected him from any environmental concerns. In a flash a Starfleet shuttle craft appeared before him inside were two beings, with standard uniforms for them and standard accoutrements in their craft. They would be able to see him from their front viewport. An insectoid with a glowing yellow aura. He used his device to patch into their own onboard communications system.
