He then left Ten Forward. He glanced at the screen that listed open positions. He could apply for one that interested him the Night Shift Chief Tactical Officer. Of course, it would depend upon approval by the Captain. He pressed his right thumb on the application button. He then turned and saw someone standing behind him about to speak. It had perhaps been the first time since they had encountered the mysterious vessel that had frozen them in time, that he had been able to do that, and whilst the call was not intrusive, it did break him from his thoughts. =/\=Commander Verin to Captain T`Vhor. Sir, do you have some time later this afternoon when we could speak? I have a favour I need to ask.=/\= T'Vhor composed himself briefly, relaxing from the posture that he had adopted in the pursuit of his ritual. It was good to hear from Commander Verin, that much was for sure. The last few days had certainly not been good to her, albeit stretched as they had been into two entire years. There was an urgency in her voice though that to the Captain anyway, demanded a prompt address, rather than one that was less hurried, and her fragile state only backed that up. "Yes, of course Commander. I can be available at whatever time is agreeable to you", he answered. Commander Duke Williams - 08:00) Duke sat quietly in a recliner next to his bed. He sat quietly deep in thought drinking a mug of hot chocolate while listening to a recording of Gregorian chant written in the 13th century and recorded in the 22nd. It was part of hos morning routine. Something personal, private, an aspect of his life he never shared. His morning meditation. Duke didn't really grow up a spiritual person though he was intrigued by the concept. Yet there was the old saying from Earth, there are no atheists in the fox hole. It was the civil war that did it for him. He came out of it broken. He had lost his wife shortly before the war and spent time as a pow during it. He was physically, emotionally and surprisingly to him, spiritually broken. After being rescued he spent some time in a Bajoran monastery at the recommendation of a his cellmate, a Bajoran by the name of Yalis Rey. Rey had eventually left Starfleet and was now a vedek. Duke spent three months there and came out of it whole, filled, and searching. He felt like he was not alone, that something was out there. What Aristotle had called an unmoved mover. Putting everything in the universe in motion. It was a sentiment that was then echoed by the medieval Catholic theologian Thomas Aquinas. That there was something that put the universe in motion. It was his time in that monastery praying and meditating with the Bajoran monks that he developed a desire to learn more about the spiritual life and different culture's religions. He wasn't necessarily religious as there was no particular god he believed in, but he developed a spirituality that he felt centered him and tied him deeper into the universe. He began to see a deeper connection between spirituality and science and it intrigued him. He even discovered that he had an ancestor in the 21st century who was a Catholic priest. It wasn't a direct ancestor, rather his direct ancestor's brother. This ancestor ministered to POWs during World War III. He was searching for something, and while he nearly converted to the Bajoran religion, he decided to explore things on his own, reading all sorts of works from Vulcan, Betazoid, Klingon, Bajoran, Human, and even Ferengi beliefs and philosophies. Every morning he would get up, shower, get dressed, sit in his favorite chair, drink a cup of hot chocolate, play chant from a different culture (human was the most peaceful, Klingon the most epic, Bajoran the most pleasing to the ears) and meditate and focus on his life, his day, and the events concerning his conscience and life. Sometimes he would spend that time talking to Myka, his deceased wife. Many cultures believed in an afterlife, and while he wasn't so sure about it before his time with the Bajorans, he came to find a glimmer of hope in it, that maybe someday he and Myka might be reunited. So, following the custom of many cultures, he spoke to the dead, knowing that she was ever near him. He was scared though, about others might react. How they might view his desire to have a spiritual life, to have a belief in something bigger than himself, to want to belief in a god in age of science and exploration. It was something he kept guarded, the only secret he would never tell. He buried it deep, and had worked with a telepath he trusted to put a mental black box around it, so that prying minds could never tell. He even felt embarrassed that he tried to convince Sophie not to go to Betazed and seek her own form of spiritual healing. He did so out of selfishness and not wanting her to leave. He took one sip from his mug and sighed. "Hey Myka, it's me again. I miss you, I miss you everyday. I know you want me to move on, to find other love, other hope, but you know you will always be a part of me, even if it's been over a decade since I lost you. I may have found someone, I don't know, it is all so new and weird. There is a psychic connection. She called me her Imzadi. I like that and I like her, but I'm afraid. I'm afraid that it might mean I was never supposed to be with you. It's silly but it is true." Duke took another sip, "I know, I know, I need to be open to the experience, be open to her. Give my everything to see if this works. You would want me to be happy, you would want me to find that again. So I know that I am making the right call. But you were my best friend, and even in that regard I haven't replaced you. I've tried, but maybe my extroversion keeps people from wanting to go deeper in that friendship. Maybe I don't let them do the talking. Maybe they are afraid I will blab. I don't know. But you are right, even on that front I need to move forward. You aren't being replaced, just allowing me to find comfort and happiness. I was named third officer too. I know I told you I never wanted to be on command staff, but I guess I grew up. You always said I shouldn't waste my gifts with people in the engine room. You were right again. You were always right. Well not always, I was right about that one night...but I promised you I wouldn't bring it up ever again, and so I will respect that. You probably would have made captain by now. You were more on the ball and polished than me. Still you would be proud of what I have been able to do in my engine room." Duke smiled as he took a deeper sip of his drink. He then wiped the whipped cream from his nose. "We have some new crew onboard too. Very interesting, very secretive, very classified lives. Like something from your spy programs. They are a quirky bunch, but they will serve the Spectre well. I'm looking forward to working with them. I miss you Gummy bear, but I know, I feel that you are watching over me. I will always love you, but I am thankful to know you want me to find that love again as well. Also don't worry, if this doesn't work out I promise not to run off to Bajor and become a monk like I almost did after the war. Starfleet is where I belong, but it is time for me to not hide all my gifts in the engine room. Just like you told me on our first date. I love you Myka, talk to you again tomorrow." Duke then sat in silence for 20 minutes before leaving to start his shift. (reply none) (posted by Will Banowsky) (USS Spectre - SO/Hydroponics Bay - Ensign jg, Wachiwi Kalani Greywolf - 09:00) Kalalani decided that it was about time that she should report in to her boss instead of just working with the plants in the hydroponics bay. She loved it there, it felt more like home there, closer to nature there. She wished she could have her quarters moved there. But, she knew that was not likely . She closed up the bay and headed for the Chefs office. (Reply None) (Posted by Frank) (Starbase 19 - Guest Quarters of Commander Signos - TAC/SC, Commander Jessica Signos - 09:04) Jessica entered her room. It wasn't to spacious but then again it did not have to be. Since she was only going to be on station a few days before moving to her quarters on the Spectre. She stretched and yawned letting her long black hair down before throwing the small satchel bag on her bed. She was debating on what to do next when a chime came from the door. "Enter." She spoke sliding a hand to a knife that she kept on her belt at the small of her back. It would not be first time she left a temporary quarter in disarray because someone entered her room with less than honorable intent. Nrpg: Jessica was attacked in her room once before on starbase genova not a attack she will ever forget. "Sorry to bother you Commander," Duke said with a smile, "But I wanted to bring a special welcoming present on behalf of the Spectre crew." The man who entered her quarters seemed unassuming enough. He also fit the descriptions Jessica had read on all of the Spectre's command staff, but who he was she could not place."Thank you and who might you be?" "I guess I should introduce myself first huh. I'm Lieutenant Commander Duke Williams, the Spectre's Chief Engineering Officer." "The pleasure is mine" she said calmly her small frame sliding slightly to remove the grip from her knife. "I just wanted to come by and say hello and bring over these homemade Chocolate Chip cookies. They are my Memaw's secret recipe. Will not entirely secret because she told me, but secret in that if you aint kin, you'll never know. They've won the Gregg County Texas county fair prize for like 50 years or something like that." "I see," she spoke as she took the offered gift. Taking one of the cookies out of the package she took a small bit they were still warm and delicious. Needed milk for sure but fresh cookies always need milk. "Sorry if I am seem a little spacy or rambly, or what have you view. I am a bit of a chatty Kathy. I believe I have been referred to before by a Vulcan shipmate of mine on the USS Kyoto as aggressively outgoing." "That's not a problem" Jessica knew people like Duke Williams they were good sources of information even if they didn't mean to be. "Anyways is there anything I can do to help your transition to the Spectre easier or any questions you might have?" "Let's see..." she turned to her satchel and pulled out a small PADD. "The tactical status of your department to include all phaser scores for the last range qualls and physical standard testing and when they were last given, please." She asked sweetly as the cookies she was just given. (Reply Williams) "Its nothing you have to rush on but I would much like the report before the next mission after the Spectre as left the station, is their anything you need from me or anything you would like to know about myself?" Jessica was not one to mince word but rather getting to the heart of the matter. Even though her youth was preserved and she would look like a teenager for the foreseeable future. There was a fierceness the burned in her eyes, and do to her time with S31 there was a hardness in her soul that few had been allowed though. "Its nothing you have to rush on but I would much like the report before the next mission after the Spectre has left the station, is their anything you need from me or anything you would like to know about myself?" Duke was intrigued by the new tactical chief. She was short, very short. Duke was over a foot taller. She also looked like a teenager, an appearance that did not seem to match her duty station. There was also a certain ferocity that seemed to unsettle Duke, like if there was an encounter in a dark alley he'd be the one with a knife in his chest. It was puzzling, but Duke thought she looked like a forest fairy from an old fantasy tale, innocent on the outside, fierce trickster on the inside. Duke wanted to ask her age but he knew better than that. "need, commander I need very little in life other than an enginer room and full kitchen." "Starfleet," she looked over her shoulder at William's. "For me is freedom. One think I've come to find pleasing about the Spectre is that it's a family ship. People live, work, and love together." There is no Signos currently on the ship's crew manifest, other than the commander of course.~ "Yes Lt. Rosen is my Sister. Actually she is my twin." "Oh, that makes sense, I think. (reply Rosen iyw) (Posted by Will) (Starbase 19 - Admiral Brooks' Office - CO, Captain T'Vhor - 11:55) Jackson looked 'On the Spot'. Indeed, the Admiral had caught him somewhat unawares with his query, given that the Man had not even been on the Spectre at the time of the situation in question. "Sir, I find it curious as to why the Spectre was 'studied' What's their purpose?" he had asked. It was a hard one to answer, that much was for sure. Indeed, Starfleet's finest were likely already disassembling the data from the ships computer in regards that. It seemed odd though that the data in question was actually two years old, and yet to the Captain and his crew, it was only days. The Captain interjected... "Sir, I do not believe that we will glean much in regards what their purpose was, other than that they appeared, 'Interested' in us. Perhaps in much the same way as one might find interest in caged animals in an old style Zoo", he said. Brooks furrowed his brow, the confusion showing. "A Zoo?", he asked. "Caged animals? The analogy doesn't fill me with confidence, Captain. I mean, what if they reappear? What if this was some kind of a fact finding mission for a future attack?" And there it was. That age old paranoia and fear that something, or someone, might come and break down their doors in the middle of the night. It had been two years now though, and this was an advanced, trans-dimensional species they were discussing. The facts did not lean themselves to any notion of an attack. "Unlikely Sir", said the Captain. "I believe that if that were their motive, then we likely would not be here speaking of this right now. And we would have surely encountered them again by now" Brooks sighed. "I only hope you're right" he said. "I still can't forget the Borg though" Both the Captain and his new FO then fell silent as the Admiral poked about on a terminal before him. "Well, let's see what the tech guys come up with with the dump from the Spectres core. You will be required again at the official debriefing, Captain. "And what's more, you crippled one of our cruisers and then continued to open fire until she lay motionless and burning in space" Duke looked down at the PADD containing the excercise prompt and reread it before responding. ~I think the captain signed me up for the Kobayashi Maru~ Duke thought with a smile. "Their was a ferengi freighter with a warp core malfunction, we crossed over to provide aid. We beamed them over whn your cruiser uncloaked and fired upon us. We were not the the aggressor. We tried to cripple the ship and then depart. It was unfortunate that we fired a torpedo right as her shields dropped to cloak. We did not intend to for the encounter to escalate as such." Suddenly, the impassive face of the Romulan Commander was upon the viewscreen, his brow furrowed over a set of eyes that certainly looked as though they were not about to be looking to bargain. "Tell me Captain. Why should I allow your ship to 'Limp' back home, as you so eloquently put it, whilst the bodies of my own comrades currently float in the airless void of space as a direct response to your cowardly attack? Furthermore the old notion of eye for an eye has proven to bring misery not justice. Justice without mercy is empty." (reply Romulan) As Duke spoke he noticed on his command console that their impulse enginess were now back to 100%. He pulled up the fleet movement to locate the nearest friendly vessel. At maximum impulse they would be back in federation space in 20 minutes. He sent the data covertly to the helm for calculation. Duke then replied to the Romualan. "I want you to know commander, that I would have been willing to stand trial for this." (reply Romulan) "I would die for my crew, but I also have to make sure they survive. You understand, I believe the Vulcans would say the needs of the many outweigh the needs of the few or one. I would risk my life for them, I would accept the order of certain death for them, and unfortunately I ordered one of my crew to do the same." Duke looked at the calculations from the helm that were sent back to him. At their fastest speeed they would be able to rendevouz with two federation ships patrolling the neutral zone border in 20 minutes, the Romulans would overtake them in 25, at that point they would be in federadtion space and with back up. He sent a one word reply to the helmsman. Engage! "That one crew member gave his life to get our engines in order. We may only have impulse, but you are too close to overtake us by warp, you'd over shoot us." Duke was monologing as the ship began picking up speed on its course with slight alteration. "You'll overtake us in time, but at that point we will be in federation space and with backup. So it was nice chatting with you, but I need to get my crew home. My condolonces for the loss of your countrymen, I wish that we did not have bloodshed. " Duke then pressed some buttons on the console. "I am sending you our combat data so you can see that we were not the aggresor. I will also send this data to Starfleet command. In case you try this stunt again attacking vessels in the neutral zone. Have a nice day." Duke sat anxiously during the chase, but mercifully the simulation ended rather than having Duke sit nervously for 20 minutes. Now he just needed to wait for captain T'Vhor to give him his score. We beamed them over when your cruiser uncloaked and fired on us. We were not the the aggressor....", said the CEO, as he attempted to go head to head with the Romulan Commanders logic. The Romulan however, just remained impassive... "You really expect me to believe this.... piffle", he mocked. "Pah! Prepare to die, Human" The Chief Engineer though was already stabbing at his armrest console controls in a clear attempt to call up whatever options he had left. "I want you to know commander, that I would have been willing to stand trial for this." said the CEO. "As I said sir, we were not the aggressor. Furthermore the old notion of eye for an eye has proven to bring misery not justice. Justice without mercy is empty." "Foolish rhetoric of a weak and ineffectual species", said the holographic representation of the Romulan Commander. "Your hollow plea for mercy is acknowledged.... and, duly disregarded" The CEO however was already engaged in his plan of escape, and before long, the Spectre leapt to full impulse. It was a gamble, of course. Time was tight. Incredibly tight. But what was he to do? He had already ordered a crewman to his likely death, a fact that the observing Captain T'Vhor had acknowledged. Would he have done so in a real life engagement though? No one had ever beat the Kobayashi Maru, apart from that one memorable time that the famous James T Kirk cheated in order to do so, and even though on this occasion the simulation was an equally expected fail, Duke had proved his mettle for the test, nonetheless. Returning to the simulation, the Warbird duly altered course and then gave chase at it's maximum impulse speed, knowing full well that the Starfleet Engineer was probably right in that it would likely overshoot the mark and end up in Federation territory, staring down the phaser batteries of two other Federation vessels. The ship sped on though, then as Duke stood, as though urging the ship to go faster and faster, the holosuite suddenly returned to it's familiar grid pattern, signalling the end of the simulation, with Duke standing alone in its centre awaiting his final assessment. (Reply None) (Posted by Alan) (Starbase 19 - Holosuite 1 - CO, Captain T'Vhor - 14:15) The Captain gathered together his thoughts, along with the notes that he had made regarding Dukes performance during the simulation. He was impressed. OK, so the Kobayashi Maru was unpassable in itself, but then that was precisely how it was supposed to be. Williams had shown the initiative required though to lead a crew in a no-win situation, and for that, he should be commended. Entering into the holosuite, the Captain addressed his CEO... "An interesting performance Lieutenant Commander", he began. "Tell me, what would you have done had the Romulan Commander called your bluff and gone to warp?" (Reply Williams) The Captain nodded, and then continued on... "Your decision to order the Engineering crewmen to an almost certain death in order to save the crew, was both admirable, and unexpected", said the Captain. "I... had my doubts that you would do that" he added, pausing mid-sentence as he spoke. (Reply Williams) "Let us argue the premise that this was not a simulation, and that the crewmen sacrificed, was a family member", said the Captain. "Would you have made the same choice?" But that would take time we didn't have, but if I they overshot us it might by us the time we needed. That or I would have given the order to abandon ship." It breaks a piece of you each time, I've seen what it has down to my father time and again, but as an officer you know the risks. It had to be done." Duke spoke softly. He was not thrilled that he had to order someone to their death, simulation or not. "Let us argue the premise that this was not a simulation, and that the crewmen sacrificed, was a family member", said the Captain. "Would you have made the same choice?" "I don't know sir, I don't know. I can't answer that question, not until I've experienced, and hopefully I never do. I'd like to say that I would, but i is a choice that I am not sure how I would respond." Duke lowered his head. He was sure that he probably wouldn't. He'd rather sacrifice himself. You know, this with everything going on politically in the Talarian Republic.” Jackson added. “Exciting shake up, wasn’t it.” Aria said running her hands through her hair. “Well, as much as I’d love to stay and discuss the downfall of the Talarian patriarchy.” Kurt said glancing at his chronometer. “I have a few things to get organized with the new crew coming onto the Spectre.” “Typical.” Jackson said folding his arms. “Never enough time for fun.” “Now now.” Aria said moving to put an arm around Kurt. “You know ole Kurtie is important now.” Kurt rolled his eyes again, brushing off the remark. “We’re docked for another few days as they bring the Spectre up to date. I’m sure we can find time for dinner or something while I’m here.” “The last time he said that he disappeared for two years.” Jackson said raising an eyebrow. “Promise. Dinner tomorrow. I’ll host.” Kurt said looking to his friends. “Provided the navigationally challenged lieutenant can find his quarters.” Aria replied with a grin. “Ok, I’ve had enough of you guys for today.” Kurt said with a laugh. The three exchanged hugs, and Kurt departed down the corridor. “Kurt.” Aria called down the corridor. “Turbolift is that way.” She motioned back behind her. “Here we go. They had been gone for awhile and that meant that all of the Spectre's navigational data needed to be updated. That would recquire a huge download and update. As the Chief Flight Officer it fell on him to ensure that the ship had all its navigational data up to speed. The bridge was currently staffed by Flight OPS and OPS staff who were overseeing the update. Ryan was the senior officer on duty. He was busy at the helm verifying data when he heard the yeomen on duty speak up. "Can I help you Commander?". Ryan swivled around in his chair to see a man with commander pips hand a PADD to the yeomen. "I'm the Spectre's new FO Cmdr. Tom Jackson. She was obviously very proud of her ship. He smiled as sipped his tea before answering. “It’s from the normal Starfleet design.” She rolled her eyes at him. “Like I have not heard that for the millionth time.” He grinned. “As I told you at the beginning. This was a joint project with the Federation Naval Patrol, the fleet, Pacifica Submersible Research Institute and the Albatross Organisation. They had to incorporate the different design philosophies from the different organisations.” Andrew gave her a look. “Which it why it looks like a tube?” She shook her head and pocked a finger at him. “Its able to be submerged which is why it looks like that. She nodded to him before she spoke. “Thanks for seeing me Hythame I know that you are busy settling in.” She saw Hythame nod. “Mother asked me to come a visit you when I had arrived.” She hid a smile as she heard this and new that it was more a command then a request. She floated a bit closer letting the rooms currents drift her around. “That’s good. You are going to find it different being on board a ship than in the academy.” He nodded. “The Spectre is a good ship. She has a distinguished history and a component crew, but you are going to have adapt fast. This is real life now not a simulation or a class room. If you mess up people will suffer from your mistakes.” She paused a gave him a quick smile and softened her voice. “But you are expected to mess up.” He nodded again. “You have a good medical team on board. Listen to everything and try to absorb as much as possible. Use your strengths and work on your weaknesses.” He frowned at her. “But Wai I am stuck in a suit.” Now it was Wai’s turn to nod. “You will be an oddity to them. You are not on Pacifica anymore.” She glanced around her quarters and realised not for the first time how isolating it could be. “Okay lets me give you some advice that I learn while I was on board.” She pushed herself off the near by bulk head and drifted towards the airlock that was her room’s door. “First piece of advice, make sure your suit is working properly as the do not take lightly you leaking all over the place. Also, there is no handy places to sort out a major leak. You have your quarters, mine as well are the best. The rec area on deck 6 has a small pool. Its not big but there is enough water to take your suit off and back on. The pool marine’s gym is a good size but its down in marine country to you need to respectful when you go down there.” She paused for a moment as she began to put her suit on. “For you working in Sickbay, Hydroponics is your best choice but its water for their plants, so they might not take it kindly to you splashing around.” She pulled her helmet and glanced to make sure that the green indicators were all green and stepped into the airlock. She punched in the code which would drain the water out of the airlock and into her quarters. “The other piece of advice is not to hid in your quarters. We Pacifica’s are social, so you need to get use to getting out and spending time with the crew and your crew mates or you will go crazy in your quarters” There was soft buzz from the dryer as the last bit of moisture from the outside of their suits evaporated, Wai opened the door and they both stepped out into the corridor. He leaned back in his chair and stretched his arms above his head. He glanced over at the time and realized he had worked right through without dinner. ~well so much for shore leave.~ He stood, and clicked a few things closed on his desk terminal. “Oh.” Kurt frowned reflexively. It looked as though he had missed a note from Commander Williams. He read the few short lines, and glanced back at the time. ~Looks like I’m going to be late yet again.~ The commander had invited the senior staff to come to some kind of ‘whiskey and smoking’ night. Kurt thought for a moment but only really understood one of those words- whiskey was a favorite of his, but what was he referring to with ‘smoking?’ The whole event sounded like an old earth tradition that only the chief engineer would have thought to organize. Sadly, by not being raised on earth, a lot of quintessentially human activities alluded him. Kurt hurriedly made his way over to shower and change. He had about ten minutes to be at Duke’s quarters. (Reply, none) ((Post by Cody)) (USS Spectre - Duke Williams' Personal Quarters - CEO, Lt Cmdr Duke Williams - 21:00) It had been a somewhat long day and Duke was glad it was coming to an end. It was long but a good day. He had met with his sister and passed the bridge officer's exam, so from the perspective of productivity it was a success. Still Duke wanted to continue to take advantage of the down time afforded the Spectre's crew. While there was work going on here and there, most shifts were shortened and the crew were granted a good deal of shore leave. Given that most of the senior staff did not have early starts the next day, Duke felt it might be appropriate to revive an old tradition of his father's. When James Williams, Sr. was a young Lieutenant Commander and the First Officer on the USS Exeter he had come up with the idea to host a smoke and whisky night for the senior staff whenever they would dock at a starbase. It gave the chance for the senior staff to come together and bond. They would share stories, laugh, cry, and get to know each other. It was a tradition that Duke's father still celebrated, only know a lot of the administrative staff of the academy would get together once a month for a chance to drink some whisky, smoke a cigar, or really just hang out. No one was required to smoke or drink, and plenty of other options were available. Duke tried to start the tradition on the Kyoto, but his CO shot the idea down. He had contemplated starting it on the Spectre but in the years that he was aboard he never got around to it. Something about this moment felt appropriate however to get it going. First, he invited the captain for a get together, but didn't necessarily tell him that it was called smoke and whisky night. The name was the reason why the Kyoto CO had shot it down years ago. Second, he passed the bridge officer's exam and he was in a good mood. Third, there was a bunch of new senior staff to get acquainted with. Lastly, some of the Spectre crew had been promoted. Kurt Palmer the CSO and Second Officer had been promoted to full lieutenant. There was also a new Chief Flight Officer, the recently promoted Lt. JG Ryan Thibodeaux. Not to mention that some of the assistant chiefs, who he invited to celebrate their promotions, had been promoted to full ensign, Darpeg, Rivers, and Drake. They were also welcoming Commanders Jackson and Signos, of whom he started referring to as murder fairy in his head and hoped that he did not say it out loud, and Lt. JG Rozen and the new assistant counselor Lt. Bruce, whom he invited so that she would not feel left out. While future events would probably be limited to just the department heads, this time it would be a bit bigger. Besides it's not like Duke didn't have people over frequently, especially since he hosted multiple game nights amongst the engineering staff. He was even contemplating getting a group together for an old earth game called Dungeons and Dragons or something like that. Besides it was his last chance to host a party in his quarters before he moved in to Sophie's quarters temporarily to take care of Skyler when she goes on medical leave. He invited Sophie to the get together but he didn't know if she would show. He hoped he did, but it might be too many people, too many minds for her with her telepathic shields still on the fritz. His quarters were the typical senior staff quarters, with a living space and bedroom to the side. He had a spacious room with an exterior view, plenty of couch space and sitting space. With a come and go, he didn't think it would get to crowded. His kitchenette area was stocked with different kinds of whisky, scotch, tennessee whisky, bourbon, irish whisky, aldebaran whisky, a hot pink beverage he picked up a few years back on Risa they marketed as Pleasure Whisky which was almost as strong as the last drink on his shelf which was a bottle of Romulan Ale, though the label was covered with duct tape with the words, totally legal ale written on them. There was a box of cigars on his coffee table with a cutter and lighter. Ash trays were plentiful and he made sure the ventilation system was working well. The benefit of 25th century technology meant the smoke smell never lingered. There were plenty of snacks, for those who didn't like to drink on an empty stomach. He checked the time on the wall display and took a cigar from the box. It was a short fat cigar he picked up on Chronos back in 2415. There were about 4 of those, which he called the unholy mistress, they packed a punch and if you were not ready they'd knock your socks off. He cut the end and lit it. He then took a long drag. The door buzzed. "Enter," he said as Lt. Thibodeaux entered. "Hello commander, am I early?" The fresh lieutenant asked. "Nope, right on time, grab a drink if you want." Duke said, cigar in one hand, a glass of Aldebaran whisky in the other. Ryan went to grab a drink, electing the odd pink one that smelled like raspberries but punched like a fireball. She has also made a comment about how he was getting a bit chubby which unfortunately did seam the case. It had seemed a good idea at the time but now this time in the morning he was not so sure. Audrey had been waiting for me and gave him a cheeky grin as she saw him enter. “I don`t know why we could not do this on the Spectre or o one of the stations holodecks” Audrey`s grin widened. “I wanted to do this on unfamiliar ground.” Andrew paused for a moment as he looked at her. “What are we doing exactly?” “Do you remember the Wreckers Run.” Andrew grinned at her. The Wreckers Run was a holodeck game that their parents had designed for them when they were young. It was derelict starships and they would have to race from the main shuttle bay or airlock to different parts of the ship. The starship would change depending on how hard the level that they wanted. there was a large range of starship classes going back to the Constellation class all the way to modern starships. The Wreckers Run usually in zero-g and with a lot of obstacles in the way so that they would have to deviate through many other parts of the ship. They had both grown up on a salvage vessel call ed the Storm Chaser and their parents had decided that their children would contribute to the family business and made sure that they were expert at wreck EVA before they even set foot on a salvage prospect. “Where on earth did you get the Wreckers Run? He saw the sparkle dim in her eyes. “Mum gave me when I qualified from the academy.” She paused for a moment. “And then when I went to play on the other side all my possessions that had not been shipped to me got confiscated until I saw the light and took the offer that I could not refuse.” She gave a slight smile as Andrew nodded. “Well then Sis lets see how good you are or if it is still talk. I remember that I could beet you on the old Constitution.” Audrey shook her head. “I have up graded it since I got it back and we are not doing the Enterprise again.” Andrew smiled at the memory the Enterprise 1701 had been his favourite as a kid. “Okay then which one are we going to do? She paused for a moment before speaking. “Computer activate Wreckers Run program 72 difficulty high.” The holodeck beeped and the space around him turned into a shuttle bay of a Excelsior class starship. He realised that he was wearing a what looked like a marine field BDU. He looked at the HUDs information, there was no gravity and or air which would make some of the tight zagged degree interesting to navigate. “I see you make some upgrades?” =^= A few. Jennifer Smith - 09:00) She looked up at the Trojan Class Marine dropship that was in its docking cradle suspended above the large drop hatch in the floor of the bay. It was only 10 meters long but could cram 12 marines and one pilot inside. It was designed to drop marines into a hot landing zone and then give fire support to the marines which it had just dropped off. She had flown many support craft in her time in star fleet mostly fighters but also shuttle craft and even a few work bees when the need had arisen. “Excuse me Ma’am can I help you?” Jennifer turned to see a marine with Sargent’s stripes walking across the bay towards her. ~oh no busted~ “Sorry Sargent. I am Jennifer Smith the new S.B.O, I was just making a visual inventory of all the support craft on the Spectre.” The Sargent gave her a strange look before answering. “Your one of those Smiths?” Jennifer gave him a smile. This was not the first time someone had said that to her. “Yes Sargent I am.” He held her stare before looking at the Trojan. “Do you know much about small Ma’am.” Jennifer nodded. “Before I got posted here. I flew Gueken’s and Mako’s of Geneva and was a squadron CO on the Paladin.” The Sargent nodded. “But have you flown Marine craft Ma’am.” She shook her head. “No Sargent I have not. Which is why I am down her having a look at her.” She indicated the Trojan. “Well Ma’am. The Trojan class has a version of the Multi-phasic shielding fitted to the Mako class fighter which you are obviously familiar with which providing excellent protection. However Ma’am the shields can drain power reserves quickly in a combat situation, meaning that the shields can degrade very rapidly under sustained fire. At high warp, power drain is such that shields must be switched from multi-phasic to standard.” Jennifer nodded making mental notes. “She can do Mach 10 in atmosphere, with a Warp 4.8 for 2 hours and emergency boost of Warp 9.5 for 90 Seconds but you damage the crystals which if you are unlucky will take out the dropship.” Jennifer nodded making a mental note not to do that. “Do you want to look inside Ma’am?” She smiled and nodded. “Yes please.” The Sargent took her up the wide ramp at the rear of the Trojan. They passed the marine seating area and up into the small cockpit space. “We have had 35 people on board one of these which is 5 over max safe limit.” Jennifer raised an eye brow as she looked back down the small passage way to the troop compartment. “There does not seem to be space for the normal compliment of marines how did you get that many in?” The Sargent gave a slight grin. “It was a squeeze I tell you, but it was worse when they had to crack the seal when they arrived back. That many people in such a confined space was not good. The drop bay crew had to put on haz-mat suits before they opened her up due to the smell.” He grinned again. “Well I will not be trying that one for sure.” She looked around the cockpit and smiled. “Thanks Sargent much appreciate the tour. I better get back to my other shuttles.” The Sargent nodded. “No problem ma’am.” Jennifer stood up from the pilot’s chair, headed out of the Trojan and then towards the dropship bay doors. Of course, T'Vhor himself was an accomplished martial artist in the Suus Mahna, and Commander Signos looked likely to make an interesting sparring partner at some time in the future, most typically in regards her level of expertise and her somewhat diminutive and childlike stature. Moving through her file though, the Captain made note of her time aboard the Boudicca and the ill-fated Rosenante, prior to her service aboard the Templar. She was very clearly an accomplished officer, that much was obvious, and the reports made about her from her previous superiors bore that out. Acknowledging the chime sounding at his office door though, he bade the person enter. And in walked the woman herself... "Sir, Commander Jessica Signos reporting as ordered." said Signos, looking a little uncomfortable now. "Commander", said the Captain, gesturing with one hand to offer her the chair opposite him. The woman duly took the offered seat and then waited as T'Vhor continued to peruse her file until finally placing the PADD aside. "Commander Signos", he began. "I see from your file that you were orphaned from a very young age" (Reply Signos) The Captain nodded, his own memories resurfacing now as she relayed her story to him. Her experience with Section 31 interested him also, most typically in regards his own experience with the department during the civil war, and then onwards to their involvement in the Spectre's, shall we say, more colourful missions. "You were schooled by Section 31?" he enquired, noting the shift in her temperament at that point. It would appear that this was perhaps not the first time that the Commander had been quizzed on this. (Reply Signos) "We have few friends within that particular department", said the Captain, taking a sip of his juice and then placing the glass onto the table. "Indeed, whenever Section 31 appears on my ship, they like to make accusations and spread dissent" he added. "I trust that this will not unduly affect you service aboard Spectre" (Reply Signos) The Captain nodded, taking note of the Commanders words. If the truth were to be known though, he knew that once some of the crew learned of her connection to the intrusive and oft times malevolent department, tensions might well rise, and he needed to know also that the Commander could take that in her stride. From her answers thus far though, it appeared that she could more than look after herself. Moving on though, he began to quiz her on the Spectre's recent mission and her disappearance in time. "You are aware no doubt of the fact that we were missing for two years" said the Captain. "I would be interested in your input on this matter, once you have studied the ships logs and reviewed our security manifest, that is" (Reply Signos) The Captain nodded once again in acknowledgement, before returning to the PADD and Signos' Starfleet record for the last time. "I would imagine that you are eager to meet your staff and settle in", said the Captain. "The ship is currently undergoing essential maintenance and refit whilst we are docked. You might want to liaise with Starbase command on that. In the meantime though, all that is left for me to do is to formally welcome you aboard the Spectre" said the Captain. (Reply Signos) T'Vhor stood and then extended his hand in a customary Human greeting... "Welcome aboard Commander Signos. I look forwards to working with you" said the Captain, who then bade her dismissed.... What he knew about her past, Did he know what she was, or what she was capable of. Jessica pressed the small actuator on the door that would announce her presence. (Reply T'Vhor) It seemed a eternity before the door slid open and she was allowed admittance to the CO's office. She entered making her way to the desk that dominated the room. He strode over to the nurse’s station. “Hallo Douwsy. I am back in for the day.” Douwys nodded. “She departed okay?” Andrew smiled. “Yes they did thanks.” Douwsy smiled back. “Anything happening?” Douwsy shook her head. “Not really the newbies have turned up and had a greeting with Dr Rivers.” Andrew nodded. “Must do that myself.” He glanced around Sickbay. “I’ll be in my office if you need me.” Douwsy nodded as he crossed sickbay and tapped his comm badge. “Ensign’s R’uann and Hythame this is Dr Williams, please come to my office at you convenience.” (Reply R’uann, Hythame) (Reply R’uann, Hythame, any) (Posted by Robbie) (USS Spectre - Ten Forward Lounge - Medical Trauma Technician, Ensign JG R'uann - 09:56) R'Uann had had a long shift, and right now, she found the bar in Ten Forward a welcome distraction to the medical databases of the Spectre's libraries. One could only take so much of innards and viscera before they had to satisfy their own innards so to speak, and the liquid sustenance that Mei Ling had provided, was refreshing to say the very least. Indeed, it was almost perfect... But then there was Tommy Tucker, her 'Pet' which patrolled the bar, and that was another matter entirely. The ball of fluff had pestered her no end. Not in a malicious manner of course, just in an overly curious one as though it had never before seen a Bajoran up close and personal. "He likes you, honest he does", the Asian barkeep had stated, as Tommy ran back towards her and then jumped onto her lap as though to prove Hikaru's statement. At that point, it began purring like a cat, but it's hands, which resembled a Monkey's, were already reaching up to grip at her glass as though to attempt to upend its contents directly into her uniform. "Sure he does", said R'Uann. "It's really quite obvious. That or he just likes your drinks" Mei Ling smiled, and then admonished Tommy accordingly. "Don't upset my new guests, Tommy, or I'll have you go play with the Rabbit again. And you know what Mark is like" she added. The Psammead screeched at that, it's eyes getting wider at the notion of having to spend time with the Captain's Rabbit again, for it had a tendency to eat everything that Tommy got his hands on, including things that were not edible. Like clothing... Suddenly though, R'Uann's combadge chirped to life as her boss down in sickbay made his presence known. =/\=Ensign’s R’uann and Hythame this is Dr Williams, please come to my office at your convenience.=/\= The Bajoran tapped at her combadge accordingly. "I'll be there shortly, Sir" she answered, placing her glass upon the bar and then lifting Tommy bodily from her lap so as to hand him to Mei Ling. "We'll play again soon my little fluffy ball", said R'Uann, as she finished off her drink and stepped down from the barstool. "Come see me again soon", said the Barkeep. "I have a new cocktail that you might wanna try." R'Uann smiled, and then headed out towards the door... So Even as nervous as she was, here she was in front of his door. Looking herself over and hoping she was presentable enough, she pressed the door actuator. Ansia didn't have to wait very long for the door to open, so when it did she entered with fake assurance to the Captains presence. She entered the door that would announce her presence."Sir Lieutenant Ansia Rozen reporting as ordered" (Reply T'Vhor) (Posted by Frank) (USS Spectre - CO's Office - CO, Captain T'Vhor - 10:01) "Sir Lieutenant Ansia Rozen reporting as ordered", said the newcomer, after walking forwards through the now opened door. The Captain took note of the Woman as she came to a halt on the other side of his desk, sensing her nervousness as she did so. This wasn't particularly due to her innate ability to 'transmit' by way of her Betazoid heritage of course, it was purely deduced from her evident unease at addressing her CO for the first time. Of course, it was not an uncommon thing for anyone to be feeling, indeed he had felt it himself on occasion during his own rise through the ranks. T'Vhor had always felt it important though to address people on equal terms upon first meeting them, and so the first thing that he did, was put the Woman at ease. "At ease Lieutenant", said the Captain, hoping that that would calm her somewhat. "Please, take a seat" he added. And his new Operations Chief did so... The Captain then accessed his terminal, the 2nd time in less than a half hour as he surveyed the new arrivals to his ship... So, here was another interesting and varied officer, and the Captain was surprised to see that she had studied the Vulcan language to the level of expert, which prompted him to immediately ask - "Uf nam-tor du olaya nash-gad ot-lan?" (Reply Rosen) The conversation continued for a short while, and then the Captain returned to the task at hand, referencing the fact that the ship was undergoing refit now, and that as the Ops Chief, Rosen would no doubt like to oversee that process. (Reply Rosen) (Reply Rosen) (Posted by Alan) (USS Spectre - Sickbay - Medical Trauma Technician, Ensign JG R'uann - 10:10) R'uann exited the turbolift in an upbeat mood, approaching the entrance to sickbay with an aire of confidence that she had not felt for quite some time. Perhaps the drink with the pleasant and engaging oriental barkeep and the playfulness of her little companion, had done her some good after all. Walking into sickbay, she glanced about at those currently engaged in whatever work it was that they were attending to, and then she spied Doctor Williams, who was currently engaged in conversation with the Selkie from the meeting on the station earlier. R'uann paused briefly in contemplation. Neither of the two had seen her yet, so it didn't really seem that odd anyway. Indeed, as she finally walked up to stand beside them both, neither were even aware that she was there. "Ahem", she said, in an attempt to sort of introduce herself. (Reply Williams, Hythame, either) "You wanted to see me Doc... Umm, I mean, Sir" said R'uann, correcting her somewhat laid back form of address. That was something that she caught herself doing quite often these days, and it really wasn't in keeping with Starfleet protocol at all. She glanced to the Selkie and smiled, who in turn was just staring back at her as though unsure of exactly what to make of her. That immersion suit of his though? How did it work? she thought to herself. Did he ever get out of it? It was intriguing to say the least... He had also pull and collated date from others in the OPS department and from engineering as well. He glanced at the console before him as he scanned the data that was scrolling across the display. He did not want to miss anything as what he had heard was that they were getting a new Chief of Operations and did not want to be caught on the back foot by the new boss. He passed the information into his PADD for later scrutiny and opened the document for what contained the new refit information to find out what it was going to involve for the OPS department. ~Okay let’s see what we have here~ (reply any) (posted by Robbie) (USS Spectre – Bridge – First Officer, Cmdr Tom Jackson - 10:27) Tom was sitting and observing the bridge activity. Robert looked up from his console and saw Commander Jackson the new first officer standing before him. He realised that he was staring as he pulled him self back to the question. “Well Sir I am compiling our needs with the new refit schedule for the new COPS sir.” He paused for a moment before carrying on. “Well sir if we go from the refit schedule it states that we need to pull all the main power regulators from decks 3,9,12 and 16. On their own its not a problem but if we have to leave in a hurry the secondary power system will not be able to handle that much capacity. There will be risks of system failures on all those decks.” "How would you proceed Ensign?" He had expected that question when he had been first asked the question. He paused for a moment making sure he had his thoughts in order before answering. “Well sir. We have spares for two decks worth power regulators. We could put them in the most critical systems and run the power through the secondary and emergency system for the rest.” “We would lose a lot of power efficiency using those system and the secondary and emergency may burn out due to the excessive power flow. There will be a lot of maintenance over the whole system when we return to a Star base.” He paused again knowing what he was suggesting went against a lot of regs and engineering would go nuts over the repairs. “I would also suggest that we get more power regulators from logistics so that. We can have them in unassembled form if we are short on space.” (Reply Jackson) (Reply Jackson, any) (Posted by Robbie) (USS Spectre - Main Engineering - CEO/3O, LCDR Duke Williams - 10:30) Duke walked through main engineering. "Oh.... yeah.... sorry.... sir," She took the offered hand and gave it a light shake. "Pleasure to meet you." “Good to meet you. That last thing he needed was a bit for food getting stuck on his face plate while he was talking to someone. Normally he had his civilian waiters hadle the bulk of the load, but for every so often he liked getting the face time. It was no longer common for ship lounges to be run by a non commisioned officer. Most lounges were run by civilians. However when Ignacio enlisted and they had found out he was a classically trained chef, the Starfleet Supply Corp scooped him up for the culinary specialist program. Most culinary specialists served on starbases and were attached to admirals, but Ignacio was lucky that a few years ago he was able to get a ship based position. He oversaw all food services aboard the Spectre. The cullinary specialist, was a part of a proud naval tradition. Even the NX-01 Enterprise had a shipboard chef. As he walked around trying to push the homemade special, rather than using the replicator, he noticed an officer he had never seen before. Approaching the selkie, he smiled and extnded his hand. Kurt Palmer - 13:45) The science chief was sitting with the Spectre’s exobiology team listening to a proposal. They had been tasked with analyzing the small amount of sensor data the ship had collected on their last encounter. As department head, it was Kurt’s job to approve allocation of resources for such projects. At first it seemed this would be a pretty cut and dry study. However the more the team picked the data apart, the more components they had to examine. “If we can find the link here,” The ensign in charge of the briefing said gesturing to the monitor at the front of the room. “This would be an ideal jump off point for the rest of the project.” He paused to look at lieutenant Palmer. Kurt pondered for a moment, thumb and index finger on his chin. “I think you’re on the right track.” He stared at the readout for another moment. “Really great work ensign, this is a great route to take. I’ll forward this report along, keep me updated as you make progress.” He stood, and collected the PADDs in front of him. “Thank you sir.” The exobiology lead smiled. “Excellent work team.” Kurt addressed the room. “I can’t wait to see what this brings.” He nodded and turned for the door. He made his way into the corridor. He had slowly gotten used to being in charge of his department, but still found it strange to be called ‘sir’ or be looked at as an authority. He looked down at the top PADD in his hands. ~what’s next on the agenda~ But before he could look too hard he was approached by a brown haired man wearing a red uniform, punctuated by three pips. "Lt. Palmer, I'm Tom Jackson the new FO.” The man introduced himself. “I wanted to visit with you for a few minutes. Is now a good time?". Kurt masked his eminent shock. “Hello Commander, yes. My office is right here actually.” They entered and sat down. "Kurt, tell me about your area's status?" Commander Jackson started in. The science was taken aback- rarely in Starfleet did you find yourself addressing your colleagues by their first name. And rarer still did a superior do this on a first meeting. Kurt brushed it off and replied. “Aside from being grossly understaffed, our main project is analyzing the data from our last encounter.” He paused. “Our exobiology team makes up about 40% of the department. So a fair amount of our resources are focused there at this point.” He was unsure what exactly the commander expected as an answer, and found himself a little uneasy as his new superior stewed for a moment. "Kurt, you are the 2O. How do you envision this role?". This question came as even more of a surprise. Kurt collected his thoughts. “Well, sir, the second officer position varies depending on the ship’s captain. Starfleet procedures dictate that I am expected to accompany away missions, take charge of the bridge during shifts that the captain and first officer are unavailable, keep tabs on the general daily operational reports...” he paused again. “Basically, if you’ll excuse the ancient expression, I’m a spare tire if things get really messy. Which means I am required to stay up to date on the overall workings of the ship so I’m effective in the event I have to assume command.” (Reply, Jackson) Kurt couldn’t tell if the commander’s smug personality was a front meant to test the science chief, or if it was genuine. “Sir, if I may, what exactly are you trying to get at?” Kurt replied raising an eyebrow. “I can’t tell you exactly why I was put into this position. I am equally aware that there are other department heads that outrank me. I am simply here to do my job, as assigned by Starfleet command, to the best of my ability.” (Reply, Jackson, any) ((Post by Cody)) (USS Spectre – Deck 4, Science Area – FO, Cmdr Tom Jackson - 14:00) Tom strolled into the Science area. Is now a good time?". (Reply Kurt) They sat down and Tom peppered Palmer with questions. "Kurt, tell me about your area's status ?". (Reply Kurt) Tom listed closely to what the 2O said. Ever since he had had the conversation with Kurt the night before and then watching the Serenity leave with his sister on board, he had been thinking about the relationship that he had with his sister. He did not want to lose his sister, but he knew how much the time jumps and especially the last one had cost her. He did not know where to start helping her and as the only surviving member if his family he did not wan to lose her as well. He knew that the counsellors had been busy coping with the crew and knew that there were worse off members then him. River’s mother came to mind and he nearly turn away then but that age old saying came into his head. ~Surgeon heal thy self~ He knew that if he did not get him self sorted then he would not able to concentrate on his work. It would also be hypocritical as he would be the first to get people to go and see the counsellors. He gave a deep sigh and stepped into the office. “Good afternoon. I wonder if it is possible to see one of the counsellors?” He paused for a moment. ~They are probably very bust to just see me now~ “Or I can make an appointment.” (Reply,Caras, Bruce) (Reply, Caras, Bruce, any) (Post by Robbie) (USS Spectre - FO's Office - FO, Cmdr. He was trying to get upgraded parts for the phase cloak, but it wasn't going well. Being the only phase cloak in the fleet, parts were hard to find and most of the schematics were classified so he had to go through either back channels or Starfleet red tape. Not to mention he kept hearing rumors about a prototype warp drive, which stressed him out even more. Was it going to happen, was it not, would it be compatible with the Phase cloak? Would the ship explode? These questions were always on his mind. So it wasn't like he was avoiding meeting with the FO, he just would have preferred to be reading engineering journals from the last few years. As he enterred the FOs office he put on the familiar Duke smile and approached the desk. "You wanted to see me sir?" Kurt Palmer - 18:19) Kurt stood in front of the mirror and straightened his uniform shirt as he analyzed his appearance. He looked down and slid a few items from the counter into the top drawer next to the sink before catching one final look in the mirror. He made his way through his temporary quarters surveying the set up. He started tidying the small table that was set for three when the door chime sounded. “Come in.” He announced. The doors hissed opened and shut again. Kurt turned to find Lieutenant Daniels had arrived carrying a, mostly, full bottle of some sort of teal beverage. “The always punctual Mister Daniels.” Kurt said pointing both index fingers at his guest. “Why? What time is it?” Jackson replied with a smirk. It was clear from his intonation the lieutenant had consumed the missing liquid from the bottle he had brought. Daniels bounded for the table and poured two glasses from the bottle. “And someone has already started...” Kurt said eyebrows raised. He accepted a glass from his friend and raised it for a toast. “To absent friends.” Daniels said before taking a hefty sip of the blueish liquid. “James would’ve really enjoyed that yesterday.” Kurt said distantly looking off out through the view port to his left. Jackson put his free hand on Kurt’s shoulder. Their now absent friend, James, had rounded out their band of misfits. In the backlog of news and reports from the last two years, Kurt had discovered their fourth member had been lost permanently. In this moment usual friendly banter and name calling was replaced by quiet reflection. Kurt turned to look at his Daniels. Their long complicated history was a constant weight on the science chief’s shoulders. While it would’ve been simple to just carve out a spare moment to address what had transpired years ago. Kurt was an expert at finding something else to occupy his attention. “You look like you want to say something.” Jackson said meeting Kurt’s stare. “I thought you were a medical doctor, not a shrink.” He responded forcing a laugh. Jackson started to say something, but was cut short as the door chime sounded again. Kurt hid everything racing through his head behind a half-smile. “Come in.” In walked Aria Pred, toting a silver container. “Did someone request dessert?” She asked with a smile. She glanced down at the open bottle. “Looks like you started without me. As usual.” Kurt retrieved the desert and deposited it on the table. “I guess I’ll accept this as an entry fee.” He said before inviting them to have a seat. The evening passed quickly. Filled with the usual sharp playful banter. But just as quickly as they had arrived, Aria and Jackson departed again. Still, it was good to be back in this reality, Kurt reflected as he washed up. Though as he laid in bed trying to sleep flashes of conversations and memories floated through his mind; His and Jackson’s brief exchange, his comment to Commander Williams about being a ‘slave to the badge;’ Distant memories and not so distant memories all relived as if they all happened collectively at once. As he lay there trying to convince himself sleep was the best cure for the moment. He couldn’t help but wonder what it was that Lieutenant Daniels was going to say before dinner. Kurt turned onto his side. He told himself tomorrow would be another day, and this would all be behind him by then. Perhaps he needed to muster the strength to finally pay a visit to one of the Spectre’s counselors. However, it was much easier to push feelings aside with witty comments and laughs. And perhaps this is why these three remained friends all this time. (Reply, none) ((Post by Cody)) ====================================================================
