UP Compile #1.. Post count = 10 I've had to change several timestamps to make this work. Duncan Flynn's post I've moved back so he can attend the meeting and also the second Jopek post I have moved forward to make the meeting make sense. All the others I've had to change have just been moved to make it so there are little doubling up on timestamps. Also please remember, I've never done this before (properly) So it's prone too have mistakes in. What I did was split each post up into different timestamps which you (players) put in. I hope it makes it easier to read. .............................................. Begin Compile: 11.02.2389 Mission: The Day After Day 3 .............................................. (Mars - Strategic Operations, Main Operation Center - Capt Jenna Rulestaad - 0600) ~My Kingdom.~ Jenna, standing in the command section, nearly three stories over the main floor of Stratops, almost felt a queen. She was standing at parade rest, her arms behind her and only her eyeballs moving as she watched the men and women under her command moving back and forth. She looked up again after a few moments, focusing on the huge Status Monitor that dominated the far wall. The Map of the Federation showed few problems, all of the posted fleets were standing to Green Alert, and there were only a couple small brush fires posted on the Threat Board. It was, all in all, a quiet morning. Of course, quiet was a relative term. "Captain, the 31st Standing reports movement." The 31st Defensive Fleet was based at the Bajoran Wormhole; there was almost always reports of movement coming out of the Dominion. There had been for years, though the tempo had picked up recently. She turned her body slightly to look at the officer who had spoken, another Captain who was also her second in command. Though it might be odd for him to have been of the same rank, sometimes Intelligence and Strategic Operations had odd command structures. Though it also wouldn't surprise Jenna in the least if she got a Star sometime in the next year. It didn't matter, she didn't need the rank, she already had the authoritative and responsibility. "Anything special?" she asked. "No Sir, Rear Admiral Roderran reports a standard show only. He has the 15th and 640th Tactical Wing's running pre-invasion Intel sweeps, mostly for practice if I'm reading between the lines correctly." "Very well, make a note of it and compile it with the rest. Throw it to Games & Theory, maybe they can make something of it all." She paused and considered, "And inform them I want a preliminary report by 1600 hours." The Captain nodded and made a note on his PADD. As a second in command, she liked him. He did what he was told and he had a steel trap memory, but like any good officer he didn't feel comfortable until he had everything cross-referenced and backed up. The next time he looked at that PADD, most likely, was when his daily procedures were done- and only then to make sure he hadn't missed anything. She turned back to the window to look out over her domain. Three quarters of the officers and crew she was looking at were no more then glorified secretaries, gathering information and putting it where it needed to be, or watching communications. But the rest of the strategic planners would be useless without them. She could fit all of her strategists into one good sized room, but this whole complex was the size of a small starbase... a starbase blasted under several thousand feet of solid rock and sealed behind triple blast-doors strong enough to take a direct photon blast. "One last thing Captain," she said. "We're going to shift a few fleets around in the coming weeks, I want a full list of our available assets in the Ghost Fleet by 1600. " "Aye Sir." He said before quietly withdrawing. Her Vulcan ears twitched and listened quietly to the activity going on the Command Level before turning to look at them. There were only a couple dozen people here, each watching the flow of Intelligence, the disposition of the fleets, and updating the Threat Board minute by minute. She slid forward like a wraith, her eyes darting back and forth to the monitors. There was nothing out of the ordinary... for now. .............................................. (Starbase Valhalla - Admiral Jopek's Office - EOO - Ensign (JG) Duncan Flynn - 0850) Duncan was excited. He had just completed his advanced Engineering Management courses at the Academy and couldn't believe his luck. He was hardly expecting to be offered such a prestigious position on one of the most influential and essential stations that the Federation had remaining. Better yet, he was offered the chance to work in starship design. That meant that he would be influencing the starships that carried the Federation into the new depths of the galaxy. He knew the basics of the position, that he would be overseeing the Exploratory capabilities and ratings of the vessels that came out of the shipyards, but that was about all he knew about it. The brass at the Academy had been reluctant to share to much with him due to the high security concerns of the facility where he would be working. He had assumed that he would be briefed on his duties soon enough, and that soon he would be working diligently to make Starfleet and the Federation through it, a better place. He had left his bags in his quarters, which he had located on the way to the admiral's office. He had only stopped for a moment, just long enough to make certain that everything was in order and that his uniform was perfect. With a deep breath he turned into the administrative offices and soon found himself standing outside the Admiral's door. His order's were very specific that he should report at exactly 0900 hours. As he was still a few seconds early, he waited patiently for his chronometer to change over to the designated hour before chiming the admiral's door. .............................................. (Starbase Valhalla, Conference Room, CO, Admiral Jopek – 09.00) “All senior officers, report to the Conference Room…”, said Jopek into his commbadge. He was already there and preparing for the impromptu meeting, important matters had come to hand in the past 24 hours and he had to get orders and assignments underway. ~ Now, where was that PADD? ~ .............................................. (Starbase Valhalla, YEO Sattilite Office – 09.01) =/\=All senior officers, report to the Conference Room…=/\= Tannis looked up at the announcement from the CO. Shrugging, he figured that if the Brass was holding impromptu meetings then he was at least mostly recovered from his trip through time and space. Standing up and taking a last sip of his coffee, he headed out the door and onto the command deck. His office on the Starbase was only temporary as was his posting to the position of XO, so the office was fairly bare and used more for keeping track of Shipyard 8 at the moment. He wasn't sure how long he was going to have the job of XO, and as his first official action on record as the XO was losing his CO, although temporarily, through a temporal rift, he figured the position was short lived. (Starbase Valhalla, Conference Room, YEO - 0902) Tannis walked into the conference room, PADD in hand, and took his seat at the Admiral's right. "Good morning, Sir." Tannis said, settling his PADD in front of him as they waited for the rest of the crew to enter. .............................................. (Starbase Valhalla, TAC/CO Office, TAC/CO, Lt(jg) Rebecca Bradley – 09.02) Becky had been up early that morning, Sleep had evaded her once more. She had decided to come down to her officer and get a jump start on the days work. She had been in her office for nearly 5 hours now and she had just cut down on the amount of paperwork on her desk, it was now down to its last couple of sheets. She sighed and smiled as she looked at it, she leaned forward to get the next piece when her comm. badge chirped. =^=All senior officers, report to the Conference Room…=^= Becky sighed, ~Too good to be true~ she thought to herself. She gathered herself and headed for the door. .............................................. (Starbase Valhalla, Primary Hanger bay, CFSO Major Tom Falcon – 09.03) Tom had just finished with the next phase of test on the next class of fighters with neural interface capability. Tom was being examined by one of the doctors from starfleet command gathering readings from the chip that was implanted in his and his top pilots brain which allows them to control many of the fighters systems with a thought which makes for faster maneuvers and gives them an advantage in a dog fight when his com bag went off. "All senior officers, report to the Conference Room." "Understood Admiral." Tom sead has he started getting out of his flight suet and get into his uniform. .............................................. (Starbase Valhalla, Chief Marine Corp Officers Office , CMCO Major Amanda Falcon – 09.04) Amanda had just finished up he her conference call to her unit commanders getting updates from the outposts and different units threw out the sector. Amanda began transmitting updated transfer and troop movement when her combadge went off. "All senior officers, report to the Conference Room." Amanda tapped her intercom on her panel. "This is Major Falcon I am on my way." .............................................. (Starbase Valhalla, Conference Room, TAC/CO, Lt(jg) Rebecca Bradley - 09.06) She stepped up to the conference room's door and stepped inside quite quickly. She nodded to the Admiral and said, "Morning, Sir." before she sat down at the table. .............................................. (Starbase Valhalla-Starfleet Academy Liason's Office-Lt. Will Alexander-09.07) Will was silently looking over the files for the recent cadets who had just arrived at Utopia Planitia. They were a smart bunch of cadets, but that was usually the case with the cadets that had come by here. Some of the best. Will had just finished reading the last file when he got the message to go to the conference room. .............................................. (Starbase Valhalla - STS Transporter 11014, Deck 1 - Capt Jenna Rulestaad - 09.10) Jenna stepped off the pad and looked around, almost sourly. She didn't like leaving her post, but when an Admiral called... She turned and began making her way, briskly, in the direction of the Observation lounge. If Fleet Stratops was large, then the Command & Control section of this base, and Utopia Planitia, was huge. A couple minutes finally found her into the Observation lounge, of which several people were already gathered. She pulled two PADDS out of a leg pocket in her tailored uniform at sat down with barely a sketchy nod to the Admiral. .............................................. (Starbase Valhalla, Conference Room, CO, Admiral Jopek – 09.13) “Thank you all for coming. I thought it would be a good chance and reflect on the recent events of Utopia Planitia.”, said the Admiral, looking around the room and he noted the missing officers who had recently been transferred but he also noted some new faces. The doors to the conference room opened and in walked a few late arrivals, including one that the Admiral recognised as the new Exploratory Operations Officer, the Vulcan simply nodded at the new EOO as he took a seat. Jopek picked up a PADD, “I want to welcome a few new faces to our Command Team, starting with the new Starfleet Academy Liaison, Lt Will Alexander, the new Exploratory Operations Officer Ensign Duncan Flynn, our new Theoretical Science Officer, Ensign Zero One Zero and finally, we’ve received confirmation of Mr Lor’s promotion and new position of First Officer, congratulations Lieutenant.”, he said. With the usual dissipation of a Vulcan, he walked over to Lt Lor and passed him his new pips, rank and security codes. (Reply from FO, SAL, EOO and TSO) “Firstly, to old business, the recently appearing and disappearing wormhole in this sector had us all confused for a while, it hasn’t reappeared for 24 hours. We still have our sensor readings from our trip through and they are being analysed, Professor Verhoven, can you bring our new TSO, Ensign Zero One Zero, up to speed on your findings?”, he said looking over at the Warp Technologies Officer. (Reply from WTO) “Very well. I want to continue the update by passing this meeting over to our Strategic Operations Officer, Captain Rulestaad. Starfleet Command has recently informed me that a carrier group lead by the USS Titan is on their way for repairs and refit… Captain, can you break down their group for us and also, any other major fleet movements in Utopia Planitia’s operational sphere?”, said the Admiral. (Reply from SOO) When the Captain was done, he opened up the floor to anyone else who had something to contribute, “If anyone else has anything to say about their department, please share it now.”, he said, sitting back in his seat. When they were all done, he had one more item on the agenda to attend to. .............................................. (Starbase Valhalla, Conference Room, TCO, Lt(jg) Rebecca Bradley – 09.14) Becky listened quite thoroughly as the Admiral explained what was going on. He seemed to be asking the questions and answering very little. So far he hadn't addressed her completely but she knew that her job wasnt a particular thriller when it came to meetings. She had found that out in the past. She nodded to the new arrivals and smiled when the Admiral noted the new First Officer. She would most likely be working with Lor at somepoint liaising ship arrivals and departures.. and other official business. “Very well. Becky looked over to Rulestaad and waited for her to speak. (Reply SOO) Once the captain had finished the Admiral began speaking once more. “If anyone else has anything to say about their department, please share it now.”, he said, sitting back in his seat. Becky shrugged inwards, she had nothing of great importance to input into the meeting. She was just here to learn the facts.. and because the Admiral had requested her presence. .............................................. (Starbase Valhalla, Conference Room , CFSO Major Tom Falcon – 09.15) Tom slipped into Conference room and took a seat as other officer filed in. .............................................. (Starbase Valhalla-Conference Room-Lt. Alexandaer-09.15) Will silently entered the conference room and sat down. He didn't say much, he was too pensive as to why he had been called. .............................................. (Starbase Valhalla, Conference Room, CMCO Major Amanda Falcon – 09.18) Amanda walked into the conference room and looked around the room and made eye contact with her brother. She made her way to an empty seat and placed a padd on the table and waited as the other Officer filed into the room. ..............................................
