The USS Mystique, Akira Class Starship, Federation registry number NCC 68125-C, was undeniably a beauty. Her sleek lines and diminutive size camouflaging the true nature of her design. No matter how you sliced up an Akira, she was a battleship. Even with the explorer designation she now carried she could rip apart most any opponent that happened into her path. Seeing her from a window on the pass-by while aboard the Steel Talons ran shivers down his spine. He had been part of the 52nd for some time now. When the split became evident, he made sure that he went with his fleet. He believed in the ideals of the Federation. He had to. He had left Romulus with his family because they were witness to ideals that were not for the betterment of the populace. He was now faced with a similar situation, and when the time had come to choose, he had done so without hesitation. But the time to settle in had not come. Instead, as a Lieutenant and Chief of Operations aboard his new ship, he had been responsible for the transfer of most of the crew of the new ship. He still hadn't really met any of the people he would be working with. Most of them offered odd looks as they came aboard. Even though Romulans were in Starfleet, the majority of of the officers coming aboard had never seen one, let alone served with one. But the fact was that he was here and they were all working for the same purpose. So with his quarters still in shambles, and without having met anyone of the command crew other than the FO, HHril now sat on the bridge. Many had seen him there, few had spoken to him. Not for lack of manners, simply because there was too much to do right now. ~Too much to do.~ he thought to himself as he ran diagnostics on the main systems of the ship. Sensors, Main Power, Main Computer, Weapons, Shields (both navigational and defensive), Inertial Stabilizers, one after another he checked the systems. ~Everything seems to be in order.~ He had heard the announcement of "Captain on the Bridge", but had not taken the time to introduce himself. ~Too much to do.~ but a comment directed at him broke the trance. "OPS, how long until the transfer of personnel and supplies is completed?" asked the Captain from her chair in the middle of the Bridge. "Transfer of personnel and materials on schedule, Sir!" replied the Romulan. One of the first times he had addressed his new Captain. "Projected time to completion approximately 3 hours." "I'll be in my ready room, if someone needs me." replied the Captain. "Very good, Sir." HHril was still pre-occupied with the data from his diagnostics. ~So much to do.~ (USS Mystique, Main Bridge, OPS, Lt (jg) HHril, 1410) The transfer was complete. The USS Mystique was ready to set out on its own, under the command of its new Captain and crew. A momentous occasion for any ship. Final checks were made as the ship prepared to leave Phoenix. "Mr.. Dema, please signal the Space Dock for permission to undock." "As you command... Captain Winters" replied the young Tactical Officer. He seemed to be familiar to the Captain. They had come from the same ship after all. "We have clearance, and we're waiting for your approval." "Mr.. Hhril, please program in the Departure vector that Phoenix has given us, and take us out slow, 1/4 Impulse. And mind the other ships in the area." She said, sounding half-serious and half-silly. "Aye, Sir." he said with a smile on his face. "Course plotted. Ready for umbilical separation." With the click of a button the Mystique was free... running on her own. "Hold on." he said under his breath. The ship learched forward as the engines engaged. HHril, using this opportunity to display some piloting skills and shake down the new ship took what could be called the least direct route through the ships, marveling at the maneuverability of the 400+M ship. ~Moves like a dream.~ he thought to himself as he moved undoubtedly too close for the Captains of the ships he was sliding past. "It's like she is half her size, Sir." he said, not even trying to hide the amusement in his voice. "Like a dream." "Helm, set a course for Geneva and engage at warp 6." said the Captain as HHril passed by the last of the ships standing in wait of their departure. "Aye, Sir. Warp factor 6. On your mark." With that, the USS Mystique was off. Her engines engaged and the ship thrusted forward into Warp. "Lieutenant HHril, report." inquired the FO, now sitting in the command chair. "All systems functioning within normal parameters, Sir. We are well on our way." "Very well. Carry on." replied the FO before opening a comm channel. "This is the First Officer to all Senior staff. The Captain will be holding a Senior Staff Briefing at sixteen hundred hours, in the Briefing room. Belinia out." Closing that channel, he opened another. "This is the First Officer to all departments. Please report on your status and current departmental needs and requirements. Belinia out." Assuming that he meant those that he did not just speak to in person, HHril continued to monitor the new engines for any fluctuations and watched the transfer of materials within ship. They were stocked for a long run, but they were still missing certain... necessities. It would be a long flight for the ship to Geneva. Generally, 5 days was not long, but on a skeleton crew, this deep in space... it was long. "This is the First Officer to all personnel, we are going to test the cloaking device, this is only a test. All stations report test readiness." The suddenness of the order woke HHril from his work. "All systems report ready, Sir." "Ensign Dema, deploy the Cloak." Peter stood as the ship entered 'cloak mode'. "Ensign, a fifteen minute test should suffice." Peter looked at the young officer stood before his console. "And I would like a full report before the Briefing." HHril sat at his station as the ship raced along under cloak. He had set a transmitter for the two defiant class vessels to monitor, so that they would not lose track of them. Within a few minutes of the test commencing, it was obvious that the signal had been unnecessary. They were leaking neutronic radiation, and it was giving away their position. ~Too much to do... not enough time.~ (reply any, none) (posted by Matthew Elias) (USS Mystique, Conference Lounge, CO Captain Vanyssa Winters, 1540) Vanyssa sat in the conference lounge, going over her notes again. Devan had told her to always go to meetings early, Because the CO had to be the first one there. She sighed. It had been a hectic couple of days. She had known when they had cleared the defensive perimeter. She also knew that in another day they would lose their escort to fly solo. If an attack was going to happen, it would happen then. It worried her. She wasn't sure that the ship was going to be able to hold up in a battle. And the only battle command experience she had was on a holodeck. She had some as being part of a team, but suddenly it really just didn't seem like enough She looked up about 15 minutes later when Lee came in, breaking her thoughts. She noticed that a couple of other people were there, and decided to not comment on the fact that Lee looked like hell. Being that this appearance had happened in the last five hours or so, Vanyssa thought that he had some troubles with his marines. She knew all about those troubles, from her time with David. There were nights that he had come home looking like hell after he had gotten some new recruits. A few minutes later, right as the chronometer struck 1600, did the Ambassador walk in. Vanyssa, looking around the room, hoped that she was the last one. Anyone else would have to be reprimanded for being late. And the one thing Vanyssa did not want to have to do is reprimand her crew for being late. At least, not on the first day. She looked around, catching each of their eyes as she waited another minute. "I want to welcome you all, formally, to the USS Mystique. I am her Captain, Vanyssa Winters. I want to start this meeting by having everyone introduce themselves and speak a little about the state of their departments. I know that I'll be getting all this in a report later, but for now give me a summary. Who would like to begin ?" (reply All, everyone except the children should be here) (pb Melinda :-) (USS Mystique - Conference Lounge Ensign Jason Dema - 1546) After reporting about the cloaking device to Peter, Jason went to the conference room, end remembering the last time, he wanted to do it good this time, and as he walked in, he saw Vanyssa standing in the room, looking a bit nervous. "Hello Captain." (Posted By Anthony S) (USS Mystique - CSO's office - CSO Ketal - 1546) Still considering the events on the bridge earlier and the problems with the cloak Ketal picked up the PADD which contained his reports and added his readings from the cloaking trial, after he was finished he departed from his office to make the staff meeting. (USS Mystique - Meeting room - CSO Ketal - 1550) Seeing that the Captain and most of the staff had already arrived Ketal took a seat and waited for the briefing to begin. (Reply: any) (Posted by Charles) (USS Mystique, Conference Lounge, OPS, Lt (jg) HHril, 1550) Not wanting to be late for the meeting, HHril motioned for his replacement to take over at OPS. A meeting of the department, however depleted it was would be necessary in the coming days. He sat and watched as the senior staff filed into the room. He had taken a seat towards the rear of the conference table and had kept, mainly to himself. He nodded to those who looked in his direction with a smile on his face, knowing that there may be a mixture of feelings in the room. Seemingly, like an alarm clock, the Captain began the meeting. It was 1600. "I want to welcome you all, formally, to the USS Mystique. I am her Captain, Vanyssa Winters. I want to start this meeting by having everyone introduce themselves and speak a little about the state of their departments. I know that I'll be getting all this in a report later, but for now give me a summary. Who would like to begin ?" "I am Lt. Sarouk. Chief Engineering Officer. All ships systems are operating within established parameters. Data on the recent cloaking test is still being processed. A final analysis will be forthcoming." HHril took some notes on the PADD he had brought with him. "I'm Ensign Jason Dema," stated a rather youngish looking man. "I'll be your chief Tactical and security officer, so if you have any trouble, do not hesitate to ask for help." Jason then turned to Vanyssa. "All systems are operational when you need them Ma'am." "I am Lt. Herkimer 78. But please, that is too much of a mouthful, so call me Herk. I am your pilot for this cruise as the Conn officer. As for the condition of my station. The ship is moving, and even in a straight line." A smile played over the lips of the Romulan. ~A straight line indeed.~ he thought to himself, images of the evasive maneuvers used to get through the ships around the Space Dock in his mind. Next came another Vulcan looking man. "I am Ketal, Chief Science Officer on the Mystique. The reports for this department are completed and as Sarouk has said we are still in the process of sorting through all of the information regarding the cloaking tests though I have a preliminary hypothesis regarding the energy spike and resultant neutronic radiation released from Cloaking Dispersal Node 3." "Major Richard Ian Lee, Marine Commanding Officer." he said in a rather low town to say the least. "The Marines are all aboard and I've already started deploying them for training purposes." He nodded his head towards the young Tactical Chief who had spoke earlier. "We will want to be talking later." Turning his head towards the captain, he then said, "Pleasure and Pain is at your disposal, as fully ready as we can be at this short notice. All our equipment is aboard, the Armory checks out, and the men are gung-ho." ~Marines.~ He thought to himself. ~They certainly are... eloquent.~ "Lieutenant HHril. OPS." said the young man as he stood up. "I've been monitoring all functions aboard ship. Everything seems to be functioning within normal parameters." He shifted in place. "As Cmdr Belinia, so eloquently put it, OPS is the pulse of the ship. If I can be of assistance to any one of you, please do not hesitate to contact me." With that he took his place. He looked impassibly at the officers already assembled before moving over and taking a seat. He quietly placed a PADD on the table top going over the results of the cloaking test in his mind. Patiently he waited for the meeting to begin. (Reply Any ITW) The Captain began the meeting a few seconds after 1600. Sarouk, still working sub-space mechanics in his head divided his attention to his computations and the Captain. "I want to welcome you all, formally, to the USS Mystique. I know that I'll be getting all this in a report later, but for now give me a summary. Who would like to begin ?" Sarouk didn't hesitate and immediately spoke up. "I am Lt. Sarouk. Chief Engineering Officer. All ships systems are operating within established parameters. Data on the recent cloaking test is still being processed. A final analysis will be forthcoming." Sarouk's deep voice was completely emotionless as he spoke, his impassive gaze sweeping the faces of the other officers committing each one to memory. (Reply Any, All) (Posted by Anthony Struelens) (USS Mystique - Conference Lounge - Ensign Sergei Radchenko - 16.07) Sergei listened to the other officers introducing themselves, intending to leave his own introduction until last. Finally, after a huge marine had introduced himself, Sergei stood up and nodded to everyone around the table, and then introduced himself in his Russian-accented English. "Comrades, I am Ensign Sergei Radchenko, your CMO. Pleased to make your acquaintances. I will be needing to see you all in sickbay on Deck 4 within the next two weeks, just to make sure my records from Starfleet" Sergei gestured towards the PADD in his hand "are all up to date. I would just like to say that, as on all Starfleet craft, my office and our sickbay are always open to everyone, however 'trivial' the reason may seem. Remember that, comrades," Sergei smiled slightly "as it's a well known fact that Starfleet officers tend to ignore ailments and injuries, and quite often work themselves into the ground. It is my job to ensure you are all functioning at 100%" Radchenko then sat down and listened to the next officer speak. (Reply any) (Posted by Christian Morson) (USS Mystique-briefing room(where ever it is)-Ambassador Anastasia Tar-Thurian-1610) Ana decided that she would attend the meeting even if it may not been her place to do so. She knew that she would be right on time and that her entrance might cause a stir but that was exactly what she wanted. She had walked up to the door and when it opened she step just inside then stopped. She looked over at the Captain and nodded her head then turned to move to the back of the room. As she finally gained a position to listen, she waited for the captain to either continue or begin. A couple seconds after the CEO sat down, another stood up. "I'm Ensign Jason Dema, I'll be your chief Tactical and security officer, so if you have any trouble, do not hesitate to ask for help." He had chosen a seat across from the Captain, FO and the Efrosian Ambassador and was in quite a good position to note everything that had gone on. The presence of the Hermat was certainly a novelty, he noted that they were a varied group that were present today. He looked with interest at Harper, the young scientist definitely looked uncomfortable, Ketal wondered what time he had come aboard. ~ No doubt when Sarouk and I were dealing with the cloaking problems, I shall have to stop him after the meeting and introduce myself. Lt. Harper and I have some very parallel interests. ~ After the Hermat spoke up and introduced him/herself Ketal decided the time was right so he stood up next. He said with a smile. He picked up his PADD and scanned it for a moment. "Unfortunately I am the bearer of slightly bad news. We are currently operating at just under Skeleton crew strength, and therefore we need to work double shifts until we reach Starbase Geneva. I have here the emergency crew rotations for the shifts. Jason stood up. "Sir, I don't have problems with the shifts as far as I'm concerned, but I do have my thoughts about the away teams, especially the first contact team, isn't the Captain supposed to stay on board till the area is declared safe? "Acknowledged Sir" (reply anyone if needed) (posted by Anthony Struelens) (USS Mystique, Observation Lounge, OPS, Lt (jg) HHril, 1630) "Any Questions?" ended Belinia. HHril had sat motionless while those with questions or comments spoke, silently taking notes. ~I'll have to schedule a meeting with the Cmdr.~ he thought to himself, not wanting to seem confrontational in front of the entire senior staff. ~Later.~ he thought. ~Not time right now.~ "Mr.. HHril," the voice of the Captain broke the silence. I believe that the rest of the crew will be at Geneva waiting on us. Do you have anything further to report?" "Sir," began the young Lieutenant. "I believe now is the optimal time to continue working on the cloaking device. The neutronic radiation from the test of the cloak flooded whole sections of the hull. However, due to the low crew numbers, we were able to move everyone out of the affected areas and clean up the radiation. This would have been exponentially more difficult had we of had a full crew compliment on board." (reply Winters, iyw) HHril sat quietly for the remainder of the meeting. Continuing to take notes on various subjects until the end of the meeting. "I want us at full readiness by 1200 tomorrow." the Captain said as the meeting drew to a close. "I hope that the attack doesn't come, but we all know that it will, Starfleet's intelligence is just as good, if not better, than our own. Any questions ?" With the dismissal of the meeting, HHril stood and headed for the door. Based on the crew rotations laid out by Cmdr Belinia, he was on duty for another 3 hours. ~No time like the present.~ he thought to himself and headed to his station. (USS Mystique, Crew Quarters, OPS, Lt (jg) HHril, 1806) It had not taken long for HHril to leave the bridge. His replacement had been early to arrive and the switch over was handled smoothly. He dropped the PADD's he was carrying on the table in the table in the corner of his quarters. They were a mess. Storage bins and bags all over the place. A sigh escaped his lips at the thought of the arduous task before him. ~And I have to be up for Alpha shift in the morning.~ he thought to himself... a rye smile playing on his lips. He unzipped and removed his jacket, draping it over the back of a chair and headed to what would be his bedroom. They were good sized quarters. A living area and separate sleeping area. There was also a washroom with sonic shower. And he did not have to share with anyone. ~Perks of being part of the senior staff.~ "Computer." he said in commanding voice. The familiar chirp of recognition from the machine echoed in the undecorated room. "Ocean sounds, and lights to 3/4's." The noise of running water filled the room. "Much better." he said aloud to no one in particular as he approached the replicator. "Chicken Cordon Blue with rice and a wild mushroom sauce." he said. "Oh... and a raktajino, hot." Living within the Federation, especially on Earth, had opened up a whole new world of culinary delights to the young Romulan. Ch'Rihan food was bland... too bland even for Vulcans. ~I don't know how they do it.~ he thought as the whir of the replicator produced a plate of food and a drink. He took it to the table and began to eat, knowing full well that he had a long night... and even longer day ahead of him... but that was later. For now, he was alone, in comfortable quarters, with good food and drink... yes that was much later. (Reply anyone who may want to interrupt) (Posted by Matthew Elias) (USS Mystique - Conference room; CO Captain Vanyssa-Winters; 1635) Vanyssa had kept silent through most of the meeting. Radchenko, we will be picking up Dr. Weir, a medical officer and Dr. Mias, this afternoon when their shuttle rendezvous with us in the next couple of hours. Please bring them up to speed when they arrive. Also I need the report on your supplies - also forward it to Mr.. Hhril, to be sent on to Geneva." Vanyssa thought for a moment. "Also, please schedule time with each of the crew to do a full physical." (reply Radchenko) Vanyssa looked down at her PADD. "Also aboard that shuttle, will be Ensign Tourana, Lt. Herk. She will be in charge of flight control. Please familiarize her with the various shuttle craft and external ships we have on the flight deck." (reply Lt. Herk) "And lastly, Dr. Harper. Please see to the various labs and their readiness while Mr.. Ketal helps Lt. Sarouk with the cloak. Then feel free to return to your research." Vanyssa turned to her Ambassador. "Ambassador, when this battle comes, I would like you on the bridge, also. I would rather talk our way out of a conflict than fight it." (reply Harper or the Ambassador) "Mr.. Lee, being that we may have to fight, keep your marines on standby. I don't plan to let them try to board this ship, but we all know what can happen." He understood what she was talking about. The Nimitz had been through several boarding parties in the past. Vanyssa looked around the room, at her crew. She caught each of their eyes. "I want us at full readiness by 1200 tomorrow. I hope that the attack doesn't come, but we all know that it will, Starfleet's intelligence is just as good, if not better, than our own. Any questions ?" She asked. This was a good crew, she was quite proud of it. (reply ALL!) (posted by melinda :-) (USS Mystique - Conference room; Ens Jason Dema; 1639) The Captain was talking about the duties for tomorrow, and turned to him and his assistant Keswick. "Mr.. Dema and Mr.. Keswick, when that Escort peels away, we are going to be very vulnerable and the intelligence says we will expect an attack. Please test all the weapons systems before 0600 tomorrow, and get me a full report on them." Jason stood up. "Yes Sir, it will be done" And then Peter continued briefing the rest of the crew. After he was finished Vanyssa took over, Jason noticed she was looking everyone in the eyes, also his, and as a reaction he turned his away, looking to his PADD with personal notes without reason. "I want us at full readiness by 1200 tomorrow. I hope that the attack doesn't come, but we all know that it will, Starfleet's intelligence is just as good, if not better, than our own. Any questions ?" Jason wanting to say something in reply, looked from under his eyebrow, and sighed, but didn't say anything. Herkimer 78- 1642) Herk watched the group as each person spoke, putting their names and faces together. Then s/he began to out hir attention on the captain. S/he the Captain Winters was a very astute observer. She watched the others as they spoke, very carefully. Herk wondered what was going through the captain's mind. Finally she stood to address the crew. "Mr.. Hhril, I believe that the rest of the crew will be at Geneva waiting on us. Do you have anything further to report ?" Winters went round the table giving out orders, and preparing for the loss of their escort. Although the ship had been given a "technical" shakedown, Herk was not at the helm at the time, and s/he wanted to see what this Akira class was made of. "Also," Winters continued, "aboard that shuttle, will be Ensign Tourana, Lt. Herk. She will be in charge of flight control. Please familiarize her with the various shuttle craft and external ships we have on the flight deck." Herk nodded to the captain. "She will know all that I can pour into her brain in a short time." "I want us at full readiness by 1200 tomorrow. I hope that the attack doesn't come, but we all know that it will, Starfleet's intelligence is just as good, if not better, than our own. Please bring them up to speed when they arrive. Also I need the report on your supplies - also forward it to Mr.. Hhril, to be sent on to Geneva." Vanyssa thought for a moment. (Reply None) (Posted by Christian Morson) (USS Mystique - Conference room - Ambassador Anastasia Tar-Thurian 1650) Ana had been listening to what everyone had to say and including the First Officer with his Emergency Shift rotation schedule and the Away Team Allocations. She was happy that he had mentioned that she would be on the first contact alpha team. She would be on at any time that there was to be any contact with another race. She also thought that it would be good if she would be on the bridge when they were in contact with any other of the known races. Ana was having a grand time seeing how a starship actually functioned and how duties where meaded out to the various departments or crew when the captain had turned her attention to her. "Ambassador, when this battle comes, I would like you on the bridge, also. I would rather talk our way out of a conflict than fight it." "I think that would be best and I hope we can avoid most if not all battles as I detest battles. If we can not talk our way out, then it is up to you to do what it is that you are best at." Ana replied to the captain. She thought that most starship captains rather fight than talk and she was going to find out what this captain would do soon probably. (reply Vanyssa, iyw) (pb Frank Rogers) (USS Mystique - Briefing Room - CSO Ketal - 16:53) Ketal waited patiently as the FO went exhaustively over the shifts and Away teams, since he could go for 36 hours straight for short periods the extra shift wasn't too much of a problem and the radiation leak was of the highest priority. When the reports were completed Ketal looked at Vanyssa as she spoke up, she had been quite obviously weighing each member of her staff during the time the reports were being made. ~ Good, she is going to make quite a good leader I believe. She has many of the skills necessary. ~ And when she spoke her voice had none of the nervousness he had seen earlier on the bridge. "Mr. Hhril, I believe that the rest of the crew will be at Geneva waiting on us. Do you have anything further to report ?" "Sir," Said the Romulan. "I believe now is the optimal time to continue working on the cloaking device. The neutronic radiation from the test of the cloak flooded whole sections of the hull. However, due to the low crew numbers, we were able to move everyone out of the affected areas and clean up the radiation. This would have been exponentially more difficult had we of had a full crew compliment on board." That the neutronic radiation had penetrated some areas of the ship only made him more sure that his original findings were correct and with Sarouk's help he was sure they could get it repaired quickly. "Mr. Sarouk and Mr. Ketal, I would like the two of you to continue working on the cloak. The escort peels away tomorrow at 1200, so we need to do a test at 0400 or so to give us time to fix any problems that come up. Liason with the escort's science and engineering departments as needed." "Yes Captain, it shall be done." Ketal answered.Since she wanted a test of the cloaking device at 0400 that would make him being up for 22 hours straight minimum which was well within his tolerance and would give him plenty of rest before his next shift. As the Captain gave everyone their orders Ketal considered his own future; a large part of the reason he had asked for this assignment besides the fact that he wanted to make sure that the technologies could work together seemlessly was that he wished not only to serve with an old friend but he also wished to help ease her way into her first command. Since she was settling easily into her role and if her senior staff proved to be as competent as they appeared then he would not be needed long term. ~ I am sure I will be able to find another research facility that could use my services after this short term exploratory mission is over unless we are in a full scale civil war in which case I will have to see it through at this station of course. ~ It was at that point that she caught his eyes as well as everyone else's and said. "I want us at full readiness by 1200 tomorrow. I hope that the attack doesn't come, but we all know that it will, Starfleet's intelligence is just as good, if not better, than our own. Any questions ?" "No questions Captain." Ketal replied as he heard the Tac/Sec Chief sigh which caused Ketal to look over at the young man whom he saw looking down in some apparent distress. (Posted by Charles) (USS Mystique - Cenference room - Ensign Jason Dema - 1655) After the conference, Jason walked over to Keswick, to talk about the test. "Ensign Keswick, I'll be joining you tomorrow morning at 0300 for the test of the weapons." (reply Keswick) "See you tomorrow-morning then." Jason then left the room and made his way to his quarters. (reply Keswick, anyone) (posted by Anthony Struelens) (USS Mystique - CMO's Office, Ensign Radchenko - 1725) Sergei Radchenko viewed his new office again. It was small, very small. It had a desk and a terminal, and maybe enough space for 2 or 3 people. It was perfect. Sergei smiled. ~This is a working office. Not a 'show' office.~ He looked down at his terminal again, to finish his list. It was a list of supplies needed from Geneva. He had to admit, he'd stretched the meaning of 'needed' to the limit. The Sickbay and labs seemed to be reasonably well-stocked, but he didn't want to get 'caught-short' so he needed back-up supplies. He finished his list, and sent it to both the Captains and the OPP's Chief. a Romulan named Hhril. The list was simple and to the point. It read; Greetings Sirs, Here is the list of medical supplies needed. Most of them are back-ups and spares, but I don't want to be in a predicament when anything 'hot' happens. The Extra Neural Scanner I could get by without, but it could come in handy. Et Voilavski; Physio Stimulators, an extra 4 Set of Subdermal scalpels 1 cubic litre of Leporazine One extra Dermal Regenerator Two extra Defibrillators At least 3 extra Cannisters of Tricordrazine Two additional sets of Exoscalpels 4 trays of mixed/varied Endorphins Any amount of Inaprovaline the Geneva can spare Most importantly of all; Three extra Medical Tricorders One extra Neural Imaging Scanner (I know I'm pushing it on this one, some of them are hefty - but I really want one in storage - you know what can happen with a broadside or a power surge) At least another 8 Hyposprays (As all Med Officers will tell you - there's simply never enough Hypo's) 3 Tanks of Kayolane (I'm not using Melorazine on the wounded or children, the side-effects aren't nice. Call me old-fashioned, but I'd rather stick with 'K') +4 Medical "Away Team" kits. We have 3 here, plus (I gather) another 2 in the Marines storage. If teams come back the kits have to be overhauled and sterilised, limiting our ability to send out more away teams immediately after first teams have come back Kind regards , Ensign Sergei Radchenko Nevrilostskia k Starfleet, Mishenov Starfleet komrads ! Sergei sent his note to the terminals of the Captain and the OPPs officer. He would have rather gone to see them with his list on a PADD, but things we're really busy. He hoped they'd understand. He sat back on his chair, relaxing for a quick minute, and breathed out. ~Busy busy by Baba Yaga, that is good komrad Radchenko~ He didn't get to relax for the full minute......... (Reply CO Winters, Lt Hhril, Any) (Posted by Christian Morson) (USS Mystique - Deck 3, Cloaking node 3 - CSO Saleke - 18:00) Saleke ran the technician's diagnostic toll over the plasma coil with all the skill and patience of long term experience, as he neared the coil's dispersion router for the energy supply of the node area the whine of the diagnostic device began to change almost imperceptably. Ketal then scanned the router for several seconds, back and forth in arcs until he was satisfied then settled back on his heels. ~ Just what I thought I would find ~ He tapped his combadge. "Chief Sarouk the router that governs the power supply for Cloaking node three is weak as I deduced and will have to be replaced. Please send up one of your engineering officers to help me drain off any residual energy and replace the router." (Reply: CEO Sarouk) Having notified the CEO of his findings to date Ketal then began checking the Cloaking Field Generator Coil in the node for any damage caused by the power spike. It took several minutes of cautious and intensive searching before he was satisfied that the generator coil was whole and sound. It was fortunate that the area had been cleared so quickly, Mr HHril and his decontamination teams had been efficient and thorough. Twenty more minutes of searching the area yielded no more in the way of damaged or faulty components so he checked his chronometer, it was 18:40. He settled back to wait for the part and as he did he tapped his combadge again. "Captain Winters this is Ketal, we will be replacing the plasma coil dispersion router at the Cloaking node three area at 19:00, it will take approximately 23 minutes to drain residual energy and replace the device. During that time power will be interrupted to deck three starboard side. I will present a full report upon my findings as soon as the repairs are finished, Ketal out." "Brother." She yelled, and ran to him and jumped, Jason scared the hell out of himself, and nearly missed her, but he did correct himself and managed to keep hold of her. "You little rascal, hey, I have an idea, what do you think it, if we go to the holodeck, play some volleyball for an hour and head for dinner in the messhall after that?" "What? only an hour? are you getting old?" Jason laughed with that remark, he forgot about how she was full of energy, she would play 5 hours if she had the chance, maybe even longer. "Okay, we'll go for 2 hours, and then dinner." "Fine." Cassandra was a bit dissapointed in the short playing time, but realised that Jason was a bit tired, so she went along with the idea. (USS Mystique - Holodeck - Ensign Jason Dema and Cassandra Dema - 2030) The match was over, Jason and Cassandra won the match but the were tired as hell, so they took a shower at the beach, and then exited the holodeck and made their way to the messhall. (USS Mystique - Messhall - Ensign Jason Dema and Cassandra Dema - 2050) They arrived at the messhall, looked around and took place at the window. Jason ordered him a simple steak and salad, he only ate food to earth standarts, so did Cassandra. as they started to eat, Jason yawned a few times. "Are you tired?" Cassabdra asked. "No.... I mean yes, I'm very tired, it's been a long day at work, and tomorrow I'll have to wake up very early so we'll have to skip our morning workout." As Cassandra heard the news her face stopped smiling and turned a bit dissapointed. "Really? aww man, no fair." "That's not all of it, I'll have to do 12 hour shifts untill we arrive at Geneva, so I'l be working from 0600 till 1800 for the next days, but if you want, then we'll work out at 0400 strting the day after tomorrow." "0400? that's early." Cassandra thought about it for a moment. "Okay, fine, 0400 it is." "It's settled then." they finished their dinner further and sat there watching at the stars (reply anyone if they want) NRPG: for people that wanna join, feel free to do so. Then they stood up and went to their quarters. (USS Mystique - quarters - Ensign Jason Dema and Cassandra Dema - 2140) As they entered their room, Jason sat down on the bed and Cassandra went to the bathroom, and when Cassandra came back out she saw that Jason allready fell asleep, so she put the blanket over him, tucked him in and gave him a kiss on the cheek. "Goodnight brother." She said, and with that she went to sleep also next to him. (reply none) (posted by Anthony Struelens)
