Meyer smiled, "No, I think we'll coordinate from here, since we actually want to help with the repairs. I have about five engineers ready to come aboard now. I think I should meet them in the transporter room. If you don't mind the help Lieutenant, I'll leave a couple of men with you. The other three and I will help your people go through an of the secondary systems that might be affected by the computer core burn out." With that Meyer tapped his comm badge and headed out to the transporter room. "Meyer to DS15, prepare to beam over my team." =^=Aye sir, team ready. Beaming over now.=^= (reply none) (posted by Al Muir) (USS Hades - FO's Office - aFO- Et. Commander Bohb- 1037) Bohb nodded at T'Sols assurances that the Hades would maintain the "highest levels of security possible." It was all that he needed to hear, and T'Sol knew the ships security protocals better than Bohb did, at this time. "Very good, Ensign," Bohb said with a smile. "Keep me informed if anything out of the ordinary occurs." "Understood sir. If there is nothing else, May I be dismissed?" Bohb nodded, and watched as T'Sol departed. He sat back in his chair and took a deep breath, He held it in and pursed his lips, blowing the air back out, puffing up his checks and lips. He was wondering just what he had gotten himself into this time. (reply none) (posted by Al Muir) (USS Hades, Mission Operations - ATAC Takeshi Katsurou - 1104) "Ideally, we'd be able to place the captain's quarters, offices and ready room under surveillance, but that might prove difficult. Still if it presents itself, it's worthwhile. For today, we get ourselves aboard the station, get a look around and see if we can spot anything obvious going on. Then tomorrow, during the festival, we'll see if we can gain access to secured station systems." "His method of demise did seem unique, it made no sense for someone 'off their hinges' or for someone who was thinking logically about how to destroy the station." "I hope you studied up on your cover identities religious beliefs and such. We may need to put them to the test." Takeshi grinned. His job was rather easy. All he had to do, apart from the occasional bow, was to bang his stick on the floor and announce his 'master'. "Yes Sir. It wasn't all that hard, except for your titles." "Good. Then if you're ready we should be heading out." "Agreed." Checking his getup for any telltale signs of who he really was the ensign cracked his neck, happy to be embarking. Baylon put on the last of his equipment and then reached down to activate an internal station-to-station communication to Captain Straton and Commander Bohb. "We are ready to begin our R&R now." he said simply, using the pre-arranged pass phrase that indicated that they were ready to get underway. They purposely left off any titles, names or details. Plausible deniability was always a good thing, besides one could never be too paranoid. "Looks like we're a go." he stated to Katsurou. Takeshi nodded his head in acknowledgment as the golden shimmer of the transport engulfed him. (Reply None.) Christopher Black. (DS15, Promenade - ATAC Takeshi Katsurou - 1124) The promenade was, true to Katsurou's warning, filled with all sorts of individuals looking to trade, sell, barter or enjoy the atmosphere , trinkets or other services that were always available just before and during a local festival. The crowds were oppressive for a station of this size, but not so much so that there was any difficulty truly maneuvering through them. near the edges hawkers and barkers called out to potential clients, while further in it was the establishments that seemed to quietly draw in the crowds with promises of food, entertainment and drinks. He and Katsurou found a relatively quiet ebb in the flow of the crowd, where they could stand for a few moments and gather their bearings. The noise was punishing, although indistinguishable as individual voices, and then there were the constant flashes of color and the various smells, all signs that the station was overcrowded. "Maybe we should see about visiting our friend?" Baylon asked his associate, indicating the commander, of course. At more than one point Takeshi felt like someone could see right through him. As if at any moment someone was going to ask him why he wasn't wearing his uniform. Apart from that it also felt very weird to have long hair. Takeshi had never had anything longer than an three inches in his life. The new length was something of a novelty for him. Never much of a one for crowds the ensign was glad that his role required he to behave in a way that, under normal circumstance, would have been considered rude. Strange as his role was, who didn't want to act like a bouncer every now and then? Takeshi quickly looked at all the different wares that he could. The variety was to be expected, but the Ensign found it a bit odd how much of the items for sale were trinkets. There was almost nothing of any real value or service. "Yes Master, as the proverb says, it is a fool who deserts the friends of his father and an even greater fool who deserts his own." Although his tone and speech played the part his immediate grin after speaking didn't. A man with the smell of alcohol in his breath staggered out of a nearby establishment. He was dressed in different shades of brown which gave him a rather drab appearance. Takeshi narrowed his eyes and caught the man by his arms, keeping him from falling flat on his face. "Watch where you're going mate." Smiling the Ensign gave the man a light shove in the direction he seemed to be going. (Reply None needed) Christopher Black (USS Hades, CSO’s Office, 2O/CSO Bracken 1147)  "I understand, sir. I can assure you that I will not divulge any information that you are going to provide to me."  Dale nodded, accepting the assurance, glad that she could rely on the professionalism of the officer in front of her. She paused, uncertain how exactly to proceed. She had of course given dozens of briefings since she had graduated the academy, hundreds perhaps. Now though she found herself in real unchartered territory. “We have an issue, one that may jeopardise our mission, but it’s going to need more delicate handling than you can imagine.” She paused slightly, “Fleet Intel has a Counter Intelligence Ops Cell on DS15.” (Reply T’Sol) Dale smiled gently, and slid a holopicture across the desk to T’Sol, it was one that had been taken  a day after Aimee had been born, Dale was in bed, holding her day old daughter, and leant against her was Leola, her mother.   “I know this Ensign, because my mother is the point man of the unit. Marine 2L Leola Bracken, spent 20 years deep undercover working for Fleet Intel, RTU’d about 7 years ago, still accepts missions that you and and I will never hold high enough clearance to even suspect the existence of.” (Reply T’Sol) She nodded, “She’s currently posing as a simple seller of trinkets on the traders floor. I’ve managed to make initial contact, but I, nor anyone else from the ship can keep on going up to the same stall and having conversations and not buying anything. We desperately need to find out her mission. So…we need to get her on board, and that’s where you come in, or rather, your department.”   (Reply T’Sol)  “Half an idea, please, feel free to argue or…” she waved her hand randomly, “…or make any suggestions, recommendations that come to mind.”  (Reply T’Sol IYW)  “Next shift change, rather than directly replacing the security on the rear gangplank, pull them back to the ship and, this will give 2L Bracken enough time and room to sneak aboard. Your thoughts? Suggestions?”  (reply T’Sol) Posted by (Mark) (USS Hades, CSO’s Office, SO, Ensign T'Sol 1200) Lieutenant Bracken nodded and seemed pensive for a moment before continuing , "We have an issue, one that may jeopardise our mission, but it’s going to need more delicate handling than you can imagine." She paused slightly, "Fleet Intel has a Counter Intelligence Ops Cell on DS15." T'Sol raised a single eyebrow. That information certainly explained a few things. For example, why Station security was so keen to have someone follow Starfleet personnel while they were on their station. "Fascinating. May I inquire as to how you know this?" the Vulcan replied. Dale smiled gently, and slid a holopicture across the desk to T’Sol, it was an image of Bracken, holding her newborn daughter. There was a woman leaning against the wall. The resemblance was clear. perhaps MOther, daughter and granddaughter all in the same image. "I know this Ensign, because my mother is the point man of the unit. Marine 2L Leola Bracken, spent 20 years deep undercover working for Fleet Intel, RTU’d about 7 years ago, still accepts missions that you and and I will never hold high enough clearance to even suspect the existence of." T'Sol raised her eyebrow a second time in as many minutes. "I see. I assume then that she has made contact with you?" Dale nodded, "She’s currently posing as a simple seller of trinkets on the traders floor. I’ve managed to make initial contact, but I, nor anyone else from the ship can keep on going up to the same stall and having conversations and not buying anything. We desperately need to find out her mission. So…we need to get her on board, and that’s where you come in, or rather, your department." The Vulcan woman did not like where this conversation was going. And while there were a number of possible paths for it to take, T'Sol did not anticipate any of them being free of significant risk. The question was whether the risk was consummate with the potential gain and to whom or what the risk was pointing to exactly. "Is there something specific that you require?" The Vulcan asked warily. "Half an idea, please, feel free to argue or…" Dale waved her hand randomly, "…or make any suggestions, recommendations that come to mind." "Before I can offer any critic of the situation, I must understand exactly what it is that you require of the security department. I may remind you that interfering with a Starfleet Intelligence operation without knowledge of the details of said mission can be very foolhardy and potentially hazardous; not only to the operatives involved, but to the safety of the Federation as well. Especially a counter intelligence operation." "Next shift change, rather than directly replacing the security on the rear gangplank, pull them back to the ship and, this will give 2L Bracken enough time and room to sneak aboard. Your thoughts? Suggestions?" T'Sol narrowed her eyes somewhat giving the suggestion a bit of thought. "Considering the behavior of the Station Security, such a move would or could bring us under closer scrutiny. This could also compromise the operatives mission should they be unable to return to the station. You will recall that I had an ... interesting discussion with one of their security officers concerning the positioning of those same personnel. As I was unyielding and indicated that the Captain was also unyielding in her adherence to the regulations pertaining to a starship in port, I do not believe that such a change would be a wise course of action." "There is another possibility, however. Lieutenant Trinin and Ensign Katsurou are both aboard the station at this time, in a non-official exploratory capacity. They made arrangements to infiltrate the facility without detection, which leads me to believe that they have also arranged for a means to return to the ship in a similar manner. Perhaps it would be possible for us to make arrangements for the operative to accompany them here. Once aboard, we can determine the best means to return her to the station when everything is resolved." (reply Bracken) Daniel Greene (USS Hades, CSO’s Office, SO Ensign T'Sol 1203) Dale leant back in her chair, her brow furrowing in contemplation for a few moments, before nodding, "ok, sounds plausible, I’d forgotten about the incident on the ramp this morning. You think that you can get in contact and keep the message secure?" T'Sol raised an eyebrow. "Sir, I would be remiss in suggesting an alternative course of action if I did not consider myself capable of performing the necessary steps to see it through." She replied stoically, "To do otherwise would have been illogical." Once more, Dale nodded, "Okay, carry on with that, make sure that the Lieutenant and Ensign..." She stopped, "actually no, I’ll debrief them when they’re back aboard, give them enough information to complete the additional mission and none more. I’ll deal with any fallout later. I have run this by the captain and she’s rather keen to find out what the Spook is doing. See if it impinges on our mission any." "Understood. If there is nothing else, I'll see to the arrangements at once." T'Sol replied. "Of course, carry on Ensign, good work, let me know when they’re due back, I’ll come down and explain things then." T'Sol nodded and headed immediately for the security office. She had to retrieve the small device that Baylon had left with her for just such an instance. She was glad to know that he had even foreseen this possibility. Although granted, it would take some time to encode the message. (reply none needed) Daniel Greene (DS15- Stevenson's Quarters- CSEC/CTAC, Lt. Baylon Trinin 1205) It had taken Katsurou a little longer to get the seal on the door to release without triggering a security alert than Baylon would have liked. As each moment grew longer and longer, the Betazoid was more and more certain that the two would be more likely to get caught by someone simply walking down the corridor. But miraculously, their luck held and the two officers gained surreptitious access to the Station security chief's quarters without any need for concern. Once they were inside with the doors closed behind them and the seal appearing to function normally, the two determined to do some investigation of their own. The compartment was larger than a similar compartment would be on a starship. The commander's rank and assignment brought with it a larger living area, which due to the availability of space found on a starbase equated to a larger compartment. That compartment was decorated with a variety of furnishings, from a number of different and sometimes very distant worlds, showing an eclectic taste in the commander's selections. There were no collectibles of note, nothing that bespoke of a souvenir or a special memory. In fact, if it had not been for the holopics in their digital displays, Baylon would have thought the man lived in a compartment that had been furnished this way by a professional furnishings service. The atmosphere of the room was more welcoming than it might be if he were a Vulcan, but just marginally. Everything was in a very specific and well-determined order. Baylon would have considered it odd if not for the fact that the commander had spent 4 years of his career on vulcan at one of the embassies there. A similar search of his closet and drawers found nothing out of order, everything was separated by color and design, meticulously maintained and placed just-so. Finding nothing that might give him a clue in the compartment as a whole, Baylon decided to take a chance and access the man's personal computer. What he found was very interesting. It quickly became apparent that Stevenson had installed a remote drive and had been encrypting files to it. The problem was now finding that drive. Baylon took a step back and once again took in the entirety of the room. The decorations, for what thy were worth, the furniture and the other accessories. Nothing really seemed to stand out at least not for the first two or three times that he visually searched the room. It was on his third pass, attempting to find the object that didn't fit, that Baylon realized what it was that was the most likely culprit. He crossed the room to the Commander's commendations display, the only piece of personal vanity that seemed prevalent and gently opened the case. Inside were several starfleet awards, some for valor, some for injury and some for exceptional work. But there, buried in the middle of the medals for courage under fire and diplomacy, was a single medallion for scientific excellence. It was an order given by the Vulcan Science Directorate for exceptional scientific achievement. It didn't fit the setting put forward by the other medals. Baylon gently opened the case and gently removed the medal. It felt lighter than it looked, and as a result Baylon suspected it contained a data drive inside the medal. He pulled his small tricorder from his pocket and scanned the commendation. It did indeed have a data storage device inside. Perhaps whatever was on that drive was the reason for Stevenson's strange death and even potential evidence of a Cardassian infiltration plot. Now all they had to do was make it back to the ship so that someone could crack the encryption and determine what was stored there. Suddenly a single sharp beep issued from one of the beads on his wrist, someone was at the door outside and attempting entry. (reply Katsurou, Any) Daniel Greene (USS Hades- Ten Forward - CMO Angeni O. Windsong-Trommashere- 1207) "Sorry," he said catching a sense of something unstated, "is this a bad time? Should I come back later?" Angeni smiled softly at Harry, her hand slipping to his thigh, giving it a gentle squeeze. She gave Hawkeye a look; a certain gaze. It ment, 'squash it'. It was subtle and quick, a look they had traded across stretchers and hospital beds for years. She knew it was possible for Harry to sense what had transpired, but she hoped he'd understand that it was something that she couldn't tell him. "Not at all, Harry. We were just discussing a case. Nothing abnormally important. I figured I could sneak in a quick meeting before you arrived..." She smiled at Hawkeye, giving him a slight nod. "Remember the working lunches back home?" She smiled, this time quite fondly at Hawkeye. Their days together as EMTs and Medics were almost ledgendary amongst their peers. Things happened that shouldn't have, yet they always came out on top. The fleeting memory of a gummi bear fight in a hotel that ended with someone getting a black eye passed through her mind, and her face flushed at the memory. (Reply Hawkeye) "So, Harry. What was that interesting thing you were working on in the Botany Department? I remember someone doing some sort of mathematical thing about the perfect symmetry of the blossom of a flower they found on the outer edges of some river bank on Tyrien Seven, but that was years ago..." (Reply Harry) She sipped at her Shirley Temple, smiling at both of the men at her table. It made her happy, seeing both of them there. It filled the void of being so far from home for so long. She made a mental note to write her sister the moment she had the opportunity. As she listened to Harry and Hawkeye she nestled comfortably in her chair, pulling off her lab coat, enjoying the break from the hustle and bustle of medical life and she basked in the calmness of spending time with her friend and lover. (Reply Harry, Hawkeye) (Posted by Kari) (USS Hades- Ten Forward - SciO Ensign Harry Doorman- 1208) "Not at all, Harry. We were just discussing a case. Nothing abnormally important. I figured I could sneak in a quick meeting before you arrived..." She explained. "Okay." He replied as Ang told them about a gummy bear fight in a hotel room. Harry was certain that the story would have made more sense to him if he actually knew what a gummi bear was, but decided that he'd just let that little detail go for now. "So, Harry. What was that interesting thing you were working on in the Botany Department? I remember someone doing some sort of mathematical thing about the perfect symmetry of the blossom of a flower they found on the outer edges of some river bank on Tyrien Seven, but that was years ago..." "Nothing so glorious, I'm afraid." Harry said with a shake of his head. " Therse a flowering food plant named a Terradomia native to Goshard's Colony, that has erratic life cycle patterns. Apparently there's a great deal of potential for the planet to become a local food staple if the botanists can figure out why the plants has such an erratic life cycle. One of our Botanists on board, Doctor Grobell is an expert in exobotany and he's been collecting data for some time now in an effort to define and predict a way to force a more uniform and stable life-cycle for the Terradomia without need to genetically re-engineer it, or without need for extreme climatic manipulation." "He asked me to help him work up a series of divergent equations that could help him better define the factors contributing to the lc variations as well as developing a means to work out how much affect each factor has upon the plant's lc." Harry waved over the waitress and ordered a Chicken club sandwich and some steak fries. one she had gone he continued. "Its a very complicated series of equations, since each affects the others in some manner, the hard part is figuring out the degree that the other equations interact with each other so that an accurate model can be produced." (reply Angeni, Hawkeye) Daniel Green (USS Hades, CEO's Office, CEO Lieutenant Darla Wright, 1410) Darla was sitting behind her desk trying to figure out how she was going to handle the fact that Zzt knew that someone had sabotaged the secondary Computer Core. She'd looked at the work that Eian had done and she figured that unless someone really knew that there had been sabotage, that it would be very unlikely that anyone would jump to that conclusion. But then again Commander Zzt was anything other than just another Engineer. He was brilliant and apparently he either always suspected sabotage, or was just wired in such a manner as to recognize the tiny little indicators that any other normally sane individual would over look. She had given him leave to continue to investigate, since that was a reasonable thing to do if she had been completely unaware of the sabotage. That, of course, was a completely counter-intuitive decision to make. Still she couldn't really understand why she should be in the slightest bit concerned, since she had been ordered by the CO of the ship to have the sabotage performed in the first place. Maybe it was the thought that someone would consider her less of an officer if they found out what she had done, regardless of the origin of her orders. maybe it was because secretly she almost enjoyed the intrigue and subtle game of cat-and-mouse that was underway with the larger obviously brilliant Commander Zzt. Still, even she realized that the big furball wasn't going to give up and simply go home. He would ferret out the situation and if things didn't go just the right way, their ploy would be unwoven and the station might even get wind of the issue at hand. She'd just tell him, but the captain and first officer had been very clear in their orders. They weren't to tell anyone without their express permission. They were to keep the situation under wraps and play their cards close to their vest. Besides, just telling the big guy might not make things any easier. After several moments of thought, she decided to go back to work in an attempt to plan out their next move. That moved getting some of the senior staff involved in the situation to see if she could gain any further insight as to the goings on aboard Deep Space 15. She held in her hand just the thing that she needed, supply and manpower requisitions, the sort that required a department head or assistant to the department head to authorize. She smiled and then tapped her commbadge. "Lieutenant Wright, CEO of the Hades to DS15 Engineering" she said as a plan began to unfold inside her mind (reply Holland) Daniel Greene (USS Hades, Main Engineering, ACEO Lieutenant Peter Holland, 1426) Pete looked around at Main Engineering, a smile quirking the side of his mouth. He couldn't quite hide his pleasure about being in the heart of a ship. He adjusted the strap at his shoulder and scanned the bustling place for signs of seniority. His gaze took in the black and grey uniforms, the myriad of skin tones and hair colouring, and the occasional insertion of the utility jumpers that were yellow from top to bottom. Finally he spotted a yellow haired female who seemed to be bossing people around fairly efficiently. He grabbed the nearest sleeve to double check. “Excuse me, Crewman,” Pete stated as his eyes registered the rank, “is that Lt. Wright over there?” Pete poked his chin in the direction of the tow head. “Yes, sir. That's Lt Wright alright, are you expected?” The dark skinned man answered Pete with a look of guarded curiosity, as though he wanted to keep the Hades safe from unwanted visitors. Pete nodded and grinned widely, “Indeed, Lt. Wright invited me over for some treasure hunting. Thanks.” He patted the shoulder in a friendly way and walked purposefully towards the CEO of the Hades. “Lt. Wright? Lt. Peter Holland off DS15. Ready for action.” Peter almost tossed off a cheeky salute too, but held himself back. Not everyone caught his humour straight off and the Klingons he'd lived with had helped him hone a knack for checking his humour lest he start a confrontation because of misunderstanding. (reply Wright) “Glad to be of service. Anything more you can tell me about what we need to find?” Peter wanted to know what his quarry might be before he went off hunting. ~Never stand downwind of a Targ if you can help it and never go hunting through computers without knowing what you are looking for.~ Pete transferred yet another of his lessons from the Klingons to his work as an engineer; something that never ceased to amaze him. (reply Wright) (posted by Lori) (USS Hades, Main Engineering, CEO Lieutenant Darla Wright, 1429) Darla was finishing up yet another report to approve a specific diagnostic, still waiting on word from the station engineering department on those requisitions that she had forwarded, when she heard a voice just behind her. "Lt. Wright? Lt. Peter Holland off DS15. Ready for action." Darla sealed the report and handed the PADD back to the junior officer before turning to face the new voice directly. "Lieutenant Holland, thank you for coming so quickly." Darla replied with a genuine smile. “Glad to be of service. Anything more you can tell me about what we need to find?” "I have a number of component requisitions here that require your approval so that we can get those components aboard for installation. Because they are restricted technology, I'll need you to verify that the original units are damaged beyond use. Do you have the time for that?" She explained. (reply Holland) Daniel Greene (USS Hades, Main Engineering, ACEO Lieutenant Peter Holland, 1430) "I have a number of component requisitions here that require your approval so that we can get those components aboard for installation. Because they are restricted technology, I'll need you to verify that the original units are damaged beyond use. Do you have the time for that?" Peter nodded, shrugging off any concerns. "Yes, I've pulled another ACEO for the Station's duty shift, so I'm free. Our CEO said to give you folks as much help as you needed, so I can't be grudged the time. Can I see the full reqs?" (reply Wright) Pete frowned slightly at some of the components on the list. ~Restricted indeed.~ "You weren't kidding about treasure hunting," Peter kept his tone light, "looks like some of these really are treasures that I'll have to eyeball before removing or replacing. You don't mind me climbing through your systems?" (reply Wright) (posted by Lori) (USS Hades, Main Engineering, ACEO Lieutenant Darla Wright, 1433) Peter nodded. "Yes, I've pulled another ACEO for the Station's duty shift, so I'm free. Our CEO said to give you folks as much help as you needed, so I can't be grudged the time. Can I see the full reqs?" "Absolutely." Wright replied as she turned her PADD over to him. "I've highlighted the most critical systems and then provided the list in three separate display styles: by section, by function and by relative location." Pete frowned slightly as he regarded the detailed list. "You weren't kidding about treasure hunting," Peter stated lightly, "looks like some of these really are treasures that I'll have to eyeball before removing or replacing. You don't mind me climbing through your systems?" "Not at all. Our CO is a stickler for protocols, so I'll be accompanying you. Where would you like to begin?" She asked him. (reply Holland) Daniel Greene (USS Hades, Sickbay, CMO Angeni O. Windsong-Trommashere, 15:01) Angeni was standing behind a biobed, her nurses and medics sitting about. She was holding up a new hyposprayer; one that supposedly injected drugs faster and was able to do simple lab tests at the same time. The small, absolutely microscopic drop of blood that was produced during the injection was now used for fifteen tests; blood glucose monitoring to PT/INR levels and almost anything in between. The information could be transmitted from the field to her work station and into a patients' chart with no action needed by the provider. "So as you see, ladies and gentlemen, we can use it on any part of the body and still get an accurate sample. The downside is, once a blood sample is taken, the next injection will take a scant second longer. You may not notice much of a difference, but it is something to be aware of. If you now direct your attention to the biobed, I will pull up a patient for us to practice on. We're going to work on the hyposprayers and using the other drugs we learned about; Dobutamine, Trimethaline Oxide, or TriOx, and Calcium Chloride." She turned from the biobed, hitting the buttons on the computer pannel. She wasn't done imputing her patient parameters when she heard a gasp behind her. She spun around and saw Sasha Stolev laying on the bed in front of her. She never heard anyone call on the comm system. She barely got her tricorder out before Captain Straton came into the Bay. "Something's wrong with his mind, there is another presence in his mind. Doctor?" Angeni scanned his body with a tricorder as her nurses took labs. The report flashed up on the screen and she went to it, looking it over quickly. "Yes, I see the dual pattern in his brain waves. I'm going to have to run a lot of tests on this one." She turned and grabbed a Neuro clamshell and she clamped it over his head. She looked at the brain waves on the computer screen, her expression not changing. Her mind was running a mile a minute though. She watched as each wave fluxed, each pattern showing something trying to lay claim on his mind. (NRPG: Wes, stop me at any time if I am going too far into this...) Suddenly, she saw the malignant waves migrate into the cerebellum. Motor neurons began to activate as well as the centers deep in the corpus calosum of his brain, which was more pronounced in Betazeds' due to their telepathic abilities. Whatever was inside of him was trying to take over from the inside... "Nurse Kellye, I want him moved to the surgical suite. Put a level ten force field around his bed and I want a security officer on those doors at all times. I want a Doctor, it must be either myself, Hawkeye, or Chase to put eyes on him once an hour. I don't care if you have to wake one of us up...if we're not in here, you get someone. Either one of them give you lip, you come to me. Got me?" Her voice was firm and filled with authority. These were the times that her staff knew she ment what she said, and it wouldn't be pretty if they disobeyed her even in the slightest way. "Also, I don't want anyone in there without full surgical gear, including mask. We don't know how this happened, so we need to be careful. Finally, there is no reason anyone other than the on duty nurse and a doctor to go into that room without my authorization." (Reply Any, none) (Posted by Kari) (USS Hades – Bridge – ATAC Ensign Tallac Dragovar – 1507)   "And you would be....?"  The First Office asked.   “Ensign Tallac Dragovar, sir. One of the two new ATAC’s”   "Ensign," he said, frowning, "you really must learn how to report in to a superior officer... before volunteering for a task. That task may wind up being more than you expected."  “My apologies sir. I was on my way to report to you just now on Ensign T’Sol’s instruction when I heard your request.” Dragovar explained. “I’ve been running round the ship reporting to various departments since I came on board.”   Dragovar waited while the First officer read a PADD in front of him. He assumed it was his dossier, the raised eyebrow was a reaction he was used to from the academy, his adventures before joining Starfleet made for interesting reading. He waited patiently for him to finish. Finally he nodded, "Yes, Ensign, head down to sickbay. The captain will be there by now. Report in to her, and I will follow shortly. Dismissed."   “Yes Sir.” Dragovar turned on his heels and stepped back into the turbo lift. He selected the armoury so he could draw his weapon before heading to sickbay. He got the depressing feeling he might need it. (reply any) Posted by Tim  (USS Hades – Security Office  – ATAC Ensign Tallac Dragovar – 1509) Dragovar applied is palm to the palm reader and his allocated weapon locker opened, revealing the hand phaser, and phaser rifle which had been assigned to him. He quickly strapped the hand phaser to his belt and closed the locker. He crossed back to the turbo lift and selected sickbay.   (USS Hades, Sickbay, CMO Angeni O. Windsong-Trommashere, 15:10) She turned to grab her equipment when Kellye stepped up, clearing her throat. "Ma'am...what about Captain Straton?" Angeni turned around, looking between Kellye and Eva. She crossed her arms over her chest. She gritted her teeth; if whatever got a hold of Stolev got a hold of Straton, it could be ugly. At the same time, it would take an order from the Federation High Council to keep her from seeing Harry if something happened to him, and even then, she was sure that even that wouldn't keep her from being near him. "Captain..." Her voice was stern, her back was straight. She leveled her steely grey eyes at her, "I don't have the faintest clue what this could be and why this has happened. You want to see him, you must be in full Personal Protective Equipment, no exceptions. You don't gear up, you can't see him. Do we have an understanding?" (Reply Eva) Angeni nodded. Kellye walked away, setting up PPE kits by the door to the surgical suite. She went to turn back around, but she continued to look at Eva. Her voice softened a bit and she lowered her voice. "Your children are somewhere safe, I assume, ma'am?" (Reply Eva) Angeni moved quickly into her office, opening up a large, locked cabinet. She pulled out several yellow, hard plastic kits which she handed to Eva. "Prophalactic antibiotics. Everyone who was in here when he was beamed in gets a dose including yourself. I'm not going to ask that you parade your children down here, but you can medicate them if you wish. Just to be on the safe side, aye? I am also going to recommend that visits to DS15 be limited to essential reasons only. Those who do go over, once again just a recommendation, should report here for a full physical before going over and once they return." She smoothed out the cloth over her bicep, spraying the antibiotic laden fluid into her arm. She massaged the area momentarily as she nodded at Straton. "Anything you need from me?" Dr. Trommashere asked a moment later. Eva's mind went out and touch the mind of her children instinctively. "They are with their Aunt Marie," Eva answered, "They are fine." Eva watched as the CMO turned and headed toward her office. With a perplexed expression, Eva followed stopping in the door way. "Prophylactic antibiotics," Angeni said, handing one of the packets to Eva. "Everyone who was in here when he was beamed in gets a dose including yourself. A full exam for those returning from the station seems prudent under the circumstances. Consider it done." "Anything you need from me?" Angeni asked next. "Answers," Eva replied simply, "Get me answers. Sasha was perfectly fine this afternoon before heading over to DS15. "Kiely put the pod on the table in front of Sasha, he leaned in and got infected, then blacked out; as any Starfleet Ensign would do..." Being slightly comical to Nelsons previous statement "...I hailed that thing of a first officer and told them we had a problem. But before I could relay finish someone beamed him off the station. In addition to his transgressions earlier, he is now adding being insubordinate to his problems. he contemplated taking another shot at his jaw, but then thought better of it. He might not stop. But he did have to reign this one in. He stepped forward and put his face directly in front of Nicolae's. "First of all, you need to settle down," Nelson warned. "The worst thing that we can do now is to panic and try and tip our hand. This did not go exactly as planned, and we need to know why. (Reply Chase and Hawkeye) She never used the word stat unless it was absolutely critical for them to drop what they were doing and come to Sickbay. She slowly cleaned herself up, going about making sure the other decontamination procedures were going smoothly. A line formed into the conference room where various Medical Professionals were being given antibiotics to protect them from whatever took a hold of Stolev. Sitting in her office, she pulled up the new vitals on Stolev; his heart rate was dropping while his blood pressure rose. His respirations fluxed up and down like a wave. She was in her zone, neurologically speaking, but she was unsure if there were other complications that weren't being revealed as of that moment. She wanted her A-Team with her before she found herself up to her neck in mystery. He was mid lecture about three decks down when the call came out from the captian and Cdr Bohb about a medical emergency in sickbay. Given the urgency of Angeni's request He had to act quickly. ~I've known Angeni a long time, the only reason she would call stat if it was something extraordinarily urgent. And given the fact that the Captain was on her way to sickbay in can only mean it is one of our own.~ Hawkeye thought to himself. Given the fact that it may be one of his own crewmembers, he did not hesitate in his next decision. "Computer activate emergency transport to sickbay. Authorization Dolphine 114Alpha 281. Beam me directly to Dr. Trommashere's location." (USS Hades- Sickbay-ACMO Hawkeye Dolphine-1521.5) The next thing Hawkeye heard was the hum of the transporter. He instantly saw Angeni standing in front of him and Sasha Stolev on a Biobed. The duty staff were in full isolation suits and noone was anywhere near Stolev without passing through a containment field. Hawkeye instantly thought the worst. "Angeni, what happened? Last thing I heard was that there was an emergency in sickbay. I was on may way to the turbolifts when your call came out." Hawkeye asked (Reply Angeni) As Angeni began to respond a duty nurse handed him a PADD with the current set of vitals. ~I've seen better numbers at a football game.~ Hawkeye thought to himself. He paused a moment before answering Angeni. "I agree with you. It sounds and presents as cushings triad with the exception of the malignancy in the brain wave pattern. That being said if it walks like a duck and quacks like a duck..." Hawkeye said. "The question is now two fold. One will the typical treatments work or do we need to develop a stronger treatment. And two what caused this? Something about this etiology doesn't feel quite right. (Reply Angeni) (USS Hades- Sickbay-CMO Angeni O. Windsong-Trommashere-1523) "Angeni, what happened? Last thing I heard was that there was an emergency in sickbay. I was on may way to the turbolifts when your call came out." Hawkeye asked Angeni just finished putting on her gear. Her face mask, shaped like a 20th century pilots' air mask, fit tightly over her mouth and nose. Two blue glowing disks filtered the air she breathed in. Her body was covered in a contaminate suit, old school nitrile gloves fitting up to her elbows. She continued to hand out supplies. Those in sickbay bustled about, moving all non-easily deconed equipment to the Auxillary Sickbay that was being built in a cargo bay. She kept an eye on the brain scans of Sasha and at the same time, she was also constantly scanning Eva, making sure nothing was happening to her. "Looks like Mr. Stolev caught something while aboard DS15. It's attacking his brain at this point. He's also displaying signs of Cushings' Triad as well. I'm starting to get very concerned. I'm afraid to attack the Triad because if I do, it could affect whatever is in his brain. What do you think Hawk?" "I agree with you. Angeni peeled back Sashas' eyelids, flicking a penlight over his pupils. They reacted sluggishly, as if they had no real reason to do as such, but they knew they had to. His skin was pale and lackluster, yet it was hot to the touch. It was obvious the hypothalamus was affected as well. "I have to agree with you, Hawk. All of the primal systems are affected; cerebellum, hypothalamus, pituitary...Cushings shuts the system down for the count. This is something more extreme than this. I haven't seen any posturing or seizures yet, but I'm sure it's going to happen. I need your opinion. Should we start with mechanical treatments then move to medicine, or should we go the other way. I want to go slow on this." (Reply Hawkeye) (Posted by Kari) (USS Hades, Sickbay, CO Captain Eva Straton, 15:48) Dressed in the same protective gear as everyone else in the room, paced a few feet from the bio bed where the doctors were currently working on Sasha. Her mind was racing with possibilities but little answers at the moment. ~How did this happen? Exactly what is happening? What do we do about it?~ These were just a few of the questions racing through her mind. Suddenly a powerful wave of nausea washed over her followed by a sharp pain in her head. She grunted in pain and her eyes narrowed as she immediately recognized the beginning of a psychic attack. Her defensive shields slammed into place immediately and she spun toward the source of the attack; the unconscious Sasha. ::You will not break our link,:: She sent powerfully at what ever force was attempting to break her link with her husband. Another attack came but was easily blocked now that she was on guard. She quickly counter-attacked pushing her way into Sasha' mind. ::Sasha! Fight it! I'm here with you! Fight damn you!
