Visiting delegations that issue demands are seldom looked upon favorably and it was my understanding that we are here to promote peaceful understanding with the Klingons rather than take liberties through confrontation. As for the Klingon you mentioned… Klingon society is highly different from our own in many ways but their warriors have some rights often absent within government circles in the Federation which is unfortunate. A Klingon has the right to confront their leaders on an honorable standing even at extreme times if their petition is found to be warranted. Those like us who are outside must wait on their sufferance.”<o:p></o:p></p><p class=MsoNormal><o:p> </o:p></p><p class=MsoNormal>(Reply: McKenzie)<o:p></o:p></p><p class=MsoNormal><o:p> </o:p></p><p class=MsoNormal>“And what do you propose ambassador?” Setan replied coolly. “That we storm the council chamber and demand that they ratify the peace accord? Do you have a champion in mind to fight to the death for that right?”<o:p></o:p></p><p class=MsoNormal><o:p> </o:p></p><p class=MsoNormal>(Reply: McKenzie)<o:p></o:p></p><p class=MsoNormal><o:p> </o:p></p><p class=MsoNormal>“Riven’s chuckle broke through the tension. “Setan has a good point Ambassador. It does no one any good to get flustered at the process. We don’t have the standing Galk does to go breaking into their meeting. As a warrior he has every right, as a diplomatic entourage our only right is to wait upon their good graces. What are they deliberating? We have no idea… and as such we have no right to interrupt them. We all knew this process would take days, perhaps even weeks or longer, who can say? We are going to need patience and wait it out. If you believe we are wasting our time then it’s your call, we could always return to Federation space but I believe you are made of sterner stuff and can wait it out, as long as it takes. In the meantime I suggest you take a chair and make yourself comfortable and perhaps give your mind something else to think about while we wait.”<o:p></o:p></p><p class=MsoNormal><o:p> </o:p></p><p class=MsoNormal>(Reply: McKenzie)<o:p></o:p></p><p class=MsoNormal><o:p> </o:p></p><p class=MsoNormal>Posted by Charles G<o:p></o:p></p><p class=MsoNormal><o:p> </o:p></p><p class=MsoNormal><o:p> </o:p></p><p class=MsoNormal>Sent from <a href="https://go.microsoft.com/fwlink/?LinkId=550986">Mail</a> for Windows</p><p class=MsoNormal><o:p> </o:p></p></div><div id="DAB4FAD8-2DD7-40BB-A1B8-4E2AA1F9FDF2"><br /><table style="border-top: 1px solid #D3D4DE;"><tr><td style="width: 55px; padding-top: 13px;"><a href="http://www.avg.com/email-signature?utm_medium=email&utm_source=link&utm_campaign=sig-email&utm_content=emailclient" target="_blank"><img src="https://s-install.avcdn.net/ipm/preview/icons/icon-envelope-tick-green-avg-v1.png" alt="" width="46" height="29" style="width: 46px; height: 29px;"/></a></td><td style="width: 470px; padding-top: 12px; color: #41424e; font-size: 13px; font-family: Arial, Helvetica, sans-serif; line-height: 18px;">Virus-free.<a href="http://www.avg.com/email-signature?utm_medium=email&utm_source=link&utm_campaign=sig-email&utm_content=emailclient" target="_blank" style="color: #4453ea;">www.avg.com</a></td></tr></table><a href="#DAB4FAD8-2DD7-40BB-A1B8-4E2AA1F9FDF2" width="1" height="1"> </a></div></body></html>
