The Bohb! =^= Luma cried through the speakers, =^= They took our Sekal and Our Sienna’s T’Mur and Luma is alone without a stabilizing telepath. =^= Luma was frantic and scared. =^= And the bad small ones are going to attack us and hurt Luma again! =^=</span></p>

moved to his station and spoke to try and calm Luma. “Take it easy Luma. What do you mean they took Sekal and T’Mur. Who took them? Where did they take them?”</span></p>
<br>
<p dir="ltr" style="line-height:1.38;margin-top:0pt;margin-bottom:0pt;"><span style="font-size:11pt;font-family:Arial;color:rgb(33, 33, 33);background-color:rgb(255, 255, 255);vertical-align:baseline;white-space:pre-wrap;">He
listened as Luma filled him in on the details of what had transpired over the past few minutes. He had been monitoring the power output of the shields and had an idea that something was going on. Now with the details, from Luma’s point of view he was able
to put together their status. </span></p>
<br>
<p dir="ltr" style="line-height:1.38;margin-top:0pt;margin-bottom:0pt;"><span style="font-size:11pt;font-family:Arial;color:rgb(33, 33, 33);background-color:rgb(255, 255, 255);vertical-align:baseline;white-space:pre-wrap;">He
started monitoring the energy distribution throughout the ship. The Dark Matter phasers had been brought on line and shields were at full power, and monitoring the sensors he could see the three ships approaching. </span></p>

know you’re afraid Luma,” Bohb tried to soothe her but did not want to lie. “And it is likely that those bad small ones will try to hurt you again. But we have made you more resilient. It might hurt a little, but not as much as last time.” He wanted to add
the phrase “I hope” but thought again and decided that she didn’t need to hear his uncertainty. “I am going to work on getting Sekal and T’Mur back now. What can you tell me about them being taken?”</span></p>
<br>
<p dir="ltr" style="line-height:1.38;margin-top:0pt;margin-bottom:0pt;"><span style="font-size:11pt;font-family:Arial;color:rgb(33, 33, 33);background-color:rgb(255, 255, 255);vertical-align:baseline;white-space:pre-wrap;">=^=
Luma does not believe that the Bohb can make it hurt less when the skin is damaged.=^= She sounded quite untrusting. =^= The three full blooded vulcans were taken through the shield after the skin was scanned. Our Sienna’s T’Mur was attempting to help shield
Luma since Our Sekal wanted the computer systems locked down. Was it Luma’s fault her valuable small ones were taken? =^= An emotional sob was in her voice.</span></p>
<br>
<p dir="ltr" style="line-height:1.38;margin-top:0pt;margin-bottom:0pt;"><span style="font-size:11pt;font-family:Arial;color:rgb(33, 33, 33);background-color:rgb(255, 255, 255);vertical-align:baseline;white-space:pre-wrap;">Bohb
had a hard time fighting his smile. “No dear, it is not your fault. And sometimes bad things happen. All we can do is make things better than before and be more prepared. And we are more prepared.”</span></p>
<br>

needed to distract Luma slightly, “Hey Luma I might have a gift for you pretty soon. You need a little more patience. I know you will like it.”</span></p>

seemed perturbed still, =^= How did they take Luma’s small ones through the shielding? Is it because of the polarization? How do we prevent them from taking the others, the Bohb? What if they take Our Sienna or Our Alaya? =^=</span></p>
<br>
<p dir="ltr" style="line-height:1.38;margin-top:0pt;margin-bottom:0pt;"><span style="font-size:11pt;font-family:Arial;color:rgb(33, 33, 33);background-color:rgb(255, 255, 255);vertical-align:baseline;white-space:pre-wrap;">Clearly
Bohb was not going to be able to change the subject. “Alright, if you are that worried then let’s do something about it. Let’s look at the readings T’Mur was looking at before she was taken. If we know how they did it we can prevent it again, and just maybe
help get them back.”</span></p>

is a very good question,” Bohb replied. “Whoever did this must have an attraction to Vulcans for some reason. An experience in the past? Perhaps they want them for the same reason you need them. It might explain why only the full blooded Vulcans as well.
The strength and control of their telepathy and their ability to use logic and reason. Help me Luma. Help me figure this out.”</span></p>

Luma put all the data on your screen. All of it, not just the basic scans right before Luma’s small ones were taken! =^= The ship accelerated and it could be felt through the deck plates. =^= Luma needs a telepath to anchor her to the here and now! =^= “Helpfully''
she quickly reversed the information to the moment when T’Mur and Sekal were plucked off the bridge, then a few seconds later, the next scan showed when Surkal was vulcan-napped.</span></p>
<br>
<p dir="ltr" style="line-height:1.38;margin-top:0pt;margin-bottom:0pt;"><span style="font-size:11pt;font-family:Arial;color:rgb(33, 33, 33);background-color:rgb(255, 255, 255);vertical-align:baseline;white-space:pre-wrap;">Bohb
looked at the scans and made some adjustments. “Interesting,” Bohb said as the data compiled in his head. “So the beam that took them was not “transporter” beam. It seems to be a particle carrier wave. Instead of pulling your molecules apart and putting them
back together it simply shifts your entire mass through space instantaneously. It requires a massive amount of energy, but it moves you much faster through null space.”</span></p>
<br>
<p dir="ltr" style="line-height:1.38;margin-top:0pt;margin-bottom:0pt;"><span style="font-size:11pt;font-family:Arial;color:rgb(33, 33, 33);background-color:rgb(255, 255, 255);vertical-align:baseline;white-space:pre-wrap;">He
shook his head, “I wouldn’t want to do it too often.” He played with the data some more, until he found something equally interesting. </span></p>
<br>
<p dir="ltr" style="line-height:1.38;margin-top:0pt;margin-bottom:0pt;"><span style="font-size:11pt;font-family:Arial;color:rgb(33, 33, 33);background-color:rgb(255, 255, 255);vertical-align:baseline;white-space:pre-wrap;">“I
think we can negate the null space effect of their transport beam,” Bohb said. “It won’t help us retrieve the Captain and T’Mur, but we can stop them from getting Commander Verin or anyone else.”</span></p>
<br>
<p dir="ltr" style="line-height:1.38;margin-top:0pt;margin-bottom:0pt;"><span style="font-size:11pt;font-family:Arial;color:rgb(33, 33, 33);background-color:rgb(255, 255, 255);vertical-align:baseline;white-space:pre-wrap;">=^=
Excellent! Put the information into a file and Luma will send it to the other two ships. Do not want the bad ones to take the Vice Admiral Father! =^= Luma was emphatic. =^= Teach Luma how to prevent the thieving ones from taking her small ones. Luma’s
small ones! =^=</span></p>
<br>
<p dir="ltr" style="line-height:1.38;margin-top:0pt;margin-bottom:0pt;"><span style="font-size:11pt;font-family:Arial;color:rgb(33, 33, 33);background-color:rgb(255, 255, 255);vertical-align:baseline;white-space:pre-wrap;">Bohb
put all the information in one file on his monitor and encoded it for Luma to transmit. There was a beep that signaled the information transmitted. </span></p>
<br>
<p dir="ltr" style="line-height:1.38;margin-top:0pt;margin-bottom:0pt;"><span style="font-size:11pt;font-family:Arial;color:rgb(33, 33, 33);background-color:rgb(255, 255, 255);vertical-align:baseline;white-space:pre-wrap;">“The
easiest way to explain it is that if we send a gravimetric impulse along the path of the beam it will destabilize making it incapable of creating the null space pathway. The impulse has to be inversely proportional to the wavelength of the beam. Does that
make sense?”</span></p>
<br>
<p dir="ltr" style="line-height:1.38;margin-top:0pt;margin-bottom:0pt;"><span style="font-size:11pt;font-family:Arial;color:rgb(33, 33, 33);background-color:rgb(255, 255, 255);vertical-align:baseline;white-space:pre-wrap;">=^=
It does. The Bohb is very intelligent and helpful. If the Bohb were a telepath, the Bohb would be perfect. =^= Luma had sent the information out as directed. Then that sense of her was gone as the ship did one of those spinning turns that inertial gravity
could not compensate for quite enough.</span></p>
