All you have to show <br></div><div dir="ltr">for it is a few meager credits. You will pay the price now for your <br></div><div dir="ltr">insolence, and when I return home, so will your family. My agents have <br></div><div dir="ltr">already taken them into custody, and they are waiting for me."<br></div><div dir="ltr"><br></div><div dir="ltr">He snapped his fingers, and a viewscreen came on. Vemen struggled to <br></div><div dir="ltr">raise his head, and on the screen saw his wife and his mistress. Both <br></div><div dir="ltr">tied to chairs. Their eyes being held open. "Yes, Vemen, they will see <br></div><div dir="ltr">you die, and know the type of vermin you were."<br></div><div dir="ltr"><br></div><div dir="ltr">Another Orion entered the room, carrying a small metal box. Matten <br></div><div dir="ltr">pushed his finger in the lock, and the lid popped open. He took out an <br></div><div dir="ltr">odd shaped device of black and chrome. Holding one end in his hand, he <br></div><div dir="ltr">pointed the other at Vemen. "Do you know what this is?" he asked wickedly.<br></div><div dir="ltr"><br></div><div dir="ltr">He turned the device to show it's profile. "This is a Veron T <br></div><div dir="ltr">disruptor. Very illegal, very deadly. Very, very rare. But not for <br></div><div dir="ltr">long," he chuckled, "First I need ot make sure it works. And if it <br></div><div dir="ltr">does, when I push this trigger, a beam of energy will shoot out. That <br></div><div dir="ltr">beam will literally tear organic material down at the molecular level, <br></div><div dir="ltr">killing you slowly and very, very painfully. The creator of this was a <br></div><div dir="ltr">genius and soon the Orion syndicate will market these to some of our <br></div><div dir="ltr">customers. It is good as a general weapon, and adds a devastating effect <br></div><div dir="ltr">when uses in combat, as you can imagine. It will destroy the morale of <br></div><div dir="ltr">any troops it is used on."<br></div><div dir="ltr"><br></div><div dir="ltr">"Are you ready to see it in action?" he asked Vemen. Turning to the <br></div><div dir="ltr">screen, "And you, are you ready to see what is done to those who cross me?"<br></div><div dir="ltr"><br></div><div dir="ltr">Vemen struggled to his knees, "I throw myself on your mercy, dread <br></div><div dir="ltr">Matten. I will give you the secrets, the contacts... spare my life and <br></div><div dir="ltr">I will serve you faithfully."<br></div><div dir="ltr"><br></div><div dir="ltr">Matten chuckled. "I think not," he said, casually pushing the trigger.<br></div><div dir="ltr"><br></div><div dir="ltr">The energy beam struck Vemen in the chest. Those watching heard him <br></div><div dir="ltr">scream out in agony as the hole that the beam inflicted on the body <br></div><div dir="ltr">spread slowly, as it engulfed all of Vemen. Matten watched with glee as <br></div><div dir="ltr">the final scream died and Vemen with it.<br></div><div dir="ltr"><br></div><div dir="ltr">Matten chuckled as he put the weapon back in the box and locked it. <br></div><div dir="ltr">Turning to the screen, "Have the women properly prepared and send to <br></div><div dir="ltr">comfort the minors."<br></div><div dir="ltr"><br></div><div dir="ltr">Standing up, he pushed a communicator, "Set course to Altair IV. Best <br></div><div dir="ltr">speed."<br></div><div dir="ltr"><br></div><div dir="ltr">Matten took the box, "I will be in my room.
