He’s hurried up his work in time to board a transport to Vulcan and he had intended to see the T’Karath Sanctuary, but political issues prevented him from gaining access. If only he was a ranking officer, Admiral, Ambassador, or official liaison. He’d taken his purple PADD with him on this journey…a ‘bucket list’ he’d kept since graduating the Academy. Notes would be a memory to his earlier days when his memory would certainly fail him.

He was just as content to visit the L-langon Mountains. Albeit there was a considerable physical commitment to the alternative, but he was happy to take in the sights and build new memories. He was greeted by a Vulcan host with many others from the Illuminar…the Vulcan curator seemed annoyed more than anything. Still, Scott was new to the culture and chalked it up to a difference in language, species, and culture.

Cultural historian Skilvulk was young, professional, and rude by any human standards. Still the young Vulcan too her work seriously and was completely committed her post as liaison to Federation ‘tourist.’

“Here you can see the ancient L-langon mountains from the Forge of Logic.” Started Skilvulk. Scott was taken by the view. It was breathtaking, but seemed similar to Earth’s deserts…abandon, baron and desolate. Vulcan didn’t disturb the area’s sacred land for over a millennium. Scott hoped to have stepped foot on the desert floor, but it wasn’t permitted during the official tour.

Over an hour had passed on his guided tour, he was both exhausted and energized to have visited Vulcan and the L-langon Mountains, but he knew this was the ‘tourist’ version. He’s hoped some future mission would allow him access to a more meaningful understanding of Vulcan history and their association with the Federation.

(Reply any, none)
(Posted by Steve)

“Deeds not Words.”
