was the name that was the name that the crew had dubbed the lounge. The Rec Room was usually a noisy, busy hub of activity. There was almost always some kind of game being played, and of course, the consumption of food and beverage. The Rec Room had a
bit of a reputation, but Diane would have argued that it was not the nature of the Rec Room that led to the unfortunate incidents that sullied its permutation, but the nature of the players of the games and the games they chose.

instead of just staying on board for the usual activities. It was good to have a slow night as it gave Diane time to do some staff evaluations and work on some new activities for the lounge.

they had a buzz of activity, mostly musical in nature. The Rec Room was more of a place for the officers to let go to unwind. The music was often loud, the people even louder. But tonight the Rec Room was all but empty, and Diane was, to say the least,
bored. Suddenly a thought came to her.

after the last time she held a casino night. Gregory was a big winner… in more ways than one. He had done very well at the Dabo table, even better with her. She had been waiting for him to continue their… friendship, but she knew that it had been a no strings
attached evening. Still, having time on her hands reminded her how long it had been since she had had a relationship with any man. She was tired of waiting for him.

Diane had gone to her quarters and put on the same gown that she had worn on casino night. It was a long black strapless gown with a plunging neckline, and slit that went up the top of her thigh. It
left just enough to the imagination, but put enough on display to garner a man’s interest. Armed with her dress and her desire fro company she
entered the Prancing Pony.

Immediately she was gratified to see that it was a slow night here as well. There were only a few tables in use. A quick scan of the room she could see her quarry. Dieter Gregory was sitting in a corner both, but he was not
alone. Now he could see why he hadn’t been to the Rec Room recently. Looks like the PP had its own draw. The delectable Reolra Dosar was sitting across from him. And she looked hungry, but not necessarily for food.

Diane’s first reaction was anger and jealousy. But again, her time with Dieter was not meant to be a mutually exclusive relationship, Reolra had just arrived before her. Then the competitive nature of Diane came out. ~Let’s
see how deep her hooks have gone into my Dieter.~

She walked slowly over to the bar and ordered, “Cardassian Sunrise.”

She knew Sam, but not well. They didn’t really travel in the same circle. He was more into athletic activities on the holodeck, rather than “games.” He smiled at her inquisitively but brought her the drink. She looked over
her shoulder to see if her entrance had garnered Dieter’s attention. But somebody else had taken a position at the table. It was science officer Jayton Allyl. She couldn’t couldn’t remember the last time Allyl was at the Rec Room. It didn’t seem to be
his kind of place.

She waited until Allyl walked away and with her glass in her had Diane turned and walked over to the table. She smiled at Reolra and nodded.

“Reolra, nice to see you have a night off dear,” she said. Then she looked at Dieter. “Dieter, it’s been a while since I’ve seen you. I’d hoped our last meeting had been more… memorable.”
