HADESNRPG: March State of the Ship

Greetings Officers of the Hades,

As we move into March, I can say I'm very happy and proud with the recent
activity you've all been creating. You all are amazing.

I have a conversation between the Captain and Chief of Security that I'd
like to happen to establish a baseline with all the ideas that were brought
up in the Department Head meeting. After that, we'll move forward and
encounter the log buoy, then shortly after that arrive at the station.

In other news it's with all solemnity that I announce that this month we've
lost two players. Hanna has failed to reach the deadline set forth back in
January and has been removed from the mailer due to inactivity.
Additionally, Richard has been dropped on request and removed from the
mailers. He cited no difficulty with anyone or anything, he just said he
lost interest, so I respected his wishes and he's been removed. Also per
Richard's wishes at mission end Dr. Quinn Johnston will be moving her
commission to the Marines to be a Surgeon in service of the Starfleet
Marines, and his PC will be moved to Starbase Freedom.

For the month of March I believe we have enough activity to bring back post
minimums. Not traditional post minimums of two a week, but we'll half that
requirement. One post a week (on average) so four posts by the end of the
month. I want to allow maximum flexibility for everyone to do what they
need to do, in their real lives, but I can't have everyone waiting on one
or two people to post to move forward once the mission plot commences. Keep
in mind as well, that waiting for all your posts at the end of the month
could negatively impact other people's time so try to check for reply tags
by checking your emails at least once a week, when you do have a reply tag
for someone if you're able to the Discord server has a Hades Reply thread,
drop a line in there and @ their name to notify people. I don't want "I
didn't know" to be an excuse. Failure to make minimums will be on a case by
case basis going forward, and though immediate demotion to SPC status,
removal of titles or removal from the game aren't necessarily compulsory,
but they're not off the table. I don't want to think of it as punishment,
only matching your involvement to your commitment.

It's not too late to be discussing future missions. I have multiple plot
ideas rustling around and being thought on by the command team. If you have
an idea for a plot or subplot feel free to message me or any member of the
command team and have your idea heard. Some ideas will be subplots and not
full plots for a whole mission, as we have enough people to hold multiple
threads going at once. An example of future subplots Keira moving forward
with the Klingon Rites of Ascension, Ire getting married. In the past we've
had Klaz's pregnancy, Ailynn's injury illness just to name a few. You can
work on subplots on your own, any character development could be a viable
subplot that you don't need permission to work on. Example Major Master's
involvement with a former plot NPC, Josh's reconnecting with his Marine
past are current examples of subplots you don't need permission to work on.

My door is alway open if you have problems. If you have stuff going on, and
you need to step away, I'd rather you ask for an LOA than you leaving the
game from burnout. I look forward to writing stories with all of you.
