Greetings Officers of the Hades,
Attached you'll find post count for January. If you see any errors, let me
know and I'll fix them as soon as I'm able. Which has over doubled from the
previous month, something to do I'm sure with the influx of fresh posters
we got with returning players, and our new security chief all stirring up
new conversations and situations. Great job and thank you. We'll be kicking
off our new mission planned on Monday, I'll be dropping a teaser here very
shortly to hint at what the crew of the Hades will be facing.

With the mission coming up I'd be remiss not to mention the flow or posting
cadence. We can't have people ghost us while they're on the away team and
bring things to a grinding halt. I understand real life comes up, and comes
first. I do get it. In my life I work in a hospital, 12 hour shifts over 40
hours a week, I have a family of my own that I like enough to spend time
with and GMing responsibilities in my Dungeons and Dragons group, and
probably a raging case of functional depression. All I'm asking is that if
you see something coming, a scheduled vacation, busy time at work expected
or not, just not feeling it for the day, whatever, just drop a line on the
discord to myself or one of the command team, an Email on the NRPG address,
something. I have made standards for posting, a very low bar, but a
standard nonetheless, and I'm following through with it. Hanna has been
dropped to SPC status. If she fails to contact us by March she will be
dropped from roles.

The next mission will constitute an away portion and a ship portion. I have
the enviable task of delegating that, for the first go-around I will assign
based off of job description. Afterwards I will assign attendees based on
how likely it is that they respond. Where the action is expected to be is
where I will assign. We might not have to go as fast as two posts a week,
however 3-5 days to respond, I don't think is asking too much. We might
drop a reminder on discord, but I place it on the player to have the
responsibility of checking posts at least to see if they have any responses
waiting for them. I encourage everyone to read them, there's really good
stuff in there. You guys are amazing writers.

I'm doing this mission to get us going, we can't be on furlough forever. I
have chosen the plot because Al and I are trying to get a joint mission
going with the Hades and Illuminar. If that happens we're shooting for
before the summer, before we get into any of our heavier plots we had
planned, Tinman's Time fracture plot, Capture the Captain plot, or a
Romulan, Klingon or Dominion tie in, we'll see if the joint mission pans
out. I don't want to have to shorten what promises to be a really good RP
mission when we can do short mission plots until we get a definitive if and
when the joint mission will happen. I will also open up future plot ideas
to anyone that remains a member in good standing and can hold a plot arc or
story NPC if handed one.

Thank you all it's been an honor and a privilege to be your Captain. I look
forward to what everyone writes.
Todd

" It's made of our shit, you know. That's the base material that we use in
our replicators. We deconstruct it to the atomic level and then reform the
atoms. [takes a bite] It's pretty good for shit. And we don't have to
commit atrocities for it." - Admiral Charles Vance
