Greetings Officers of the Hades,

We have now brought the month of November to a close. I did a quick post
count. Normally post counts would go towards minimums. However, I have
suspended that requirement as we all have our lives become busier heading
into the winter months and holidays that brings. Here are the counts as I
see them currently.

Name Character Department Current Status Nov Post Count (PC) Nov Post Count
SPC/NPC
Jason Ens (jg) Tinmanrion Jayc CSO / 2O Active 6 0
Robbie Lt. Ire Williams CFO / XO Active 4 0
Todd Cmdr Kiera Merek CO Active 5 2
Richard Ens(jg) Quinn Johnson Chief Surgery Active 4 0
Gavin Ens JG Goldmantle Chief EMS Active 0 0
Hanna Ensign (jg) Dierdre Lesih Science Sep? 0 0
Total 19 2

The vast majority of us are at least a little active in game, of which I
commend you during this busy season, some have been so busy as not to have
found the time. I would like to point out that though I post these numbers,
they are merely informative and non-punitive in any way. Unless the player
themselves wish to be removed and inform me of such, I won't remove anyone
with out multiple attempts by myself and the command staff to reach out and
contact said player. At this point I do not plan on moving anyone into
inactive status until at least January.

I've kept in touch with Tony and Charles and they are aware of our needs in
certain departments, and we will get top priority for those departments
should the academy have any new graduates.

Now to new business. My plans for the coming months are as follows. 1)
Finish up the current mission. 2) Awards Promotions. 3)Furlough / free form
posting 4) new mission.

1) We should be able to finish up the current mission before the Christmas
/ Yule part of this month. There will likely be quite a few events
happening where we will post a (Reply ALL) tag as events will at least
effect what everyone on ship will be doing. If everyone does that there
should be enough posting to finish off Mark's last mission well and if not
a bang, at least not a whimper. I want to finish the story so we can move
on to other things.

2) Everyone that's been active has something for them in the ceremony that
I have planned. I don't think this format lends well to that type of thing
and in the past I don't think players have been given enough accolades
recognising what they have done and accomplished. I plan to give credit
where it's due and reward accordingly. While promotions will be run mostly
based off seniority and off certain out of game statistics, e.g. Can you
keep pace with the established story tempo? Once given an arc can you
maintain it until completion? Medals and such will be awarded based off of
in caracter accomplishments. e.g. Saving the life of a dignitary, or other
PC/SPC. An important discovery or break through.

3) The furlough will be in place because historically this time of year
post numbers go way down. I don't want to insist and crack an imaginary
whip that we will keep numbers up despite everyone's busy schedules. This
also gives everyone a chance to write a bit for their characters and write
the kind of personal story they'd like and do some character development.
With some caveats: You likely won't get promoted or awards from the
furlough with out first clearing it. Chalk it up to the infinite read-tape
and bureaucracy of the Federation and Star Fleet that if you do something
so widely beneficial that someone will look bad in the process and make
moves to block said promotion/award. If you'd like someone to write with,
my SPCs are available to bounce off ideas. We'll move forward from the
furlough once the holiday season is over. Planning on early to mid January
for now.

4) The new mission is something we're working on, we have something on the
back burner that we will be bringing to the forefront in the coming weeks.
Some Captains have been fairly close fisted when it comes to plot
development, and honestly I think it's doing the game a disservice. We have
so many creative minds here it would be a shame to waste all the talent.
After this one if anyone that is in good standing would like to propose a
mission idea, my "door" is open, feel free to message me at anytime and
myself and the command team will give it serious consideration. This next
mission is not complete in the planning stage, but it's set, the next one
has yet to be determined. Once we start the new mission, I'm going to dip
my toes into compiling to keep a chronicle of what's going on. More to
follow on that.

Thank you all for the time and effort you've put into our simulation and I
hope to see you out there.

" It's made of our shit, you know. That's the base material that we use in
our replicators. We deconstruct it to the atomic level and then reform the
atoms. [takes a bite] It's pretty good for shit. And we don't have to
commit atrocities for it." - Admiral Charles Vance
