<div dir="auto"><div dir="auto">Mission: Space was cool before it mattered</div><div dir="auto"><br></div><div dir="auto">Day: 1</div><div dir="auto"><br></div><div dir="auto">Stardate: 2446.04.25</div><div dir="auto"><br></div><div dir="auto"><br></div><div dir="auto"><br></div>(USS Exeter - Holodeck 2 - FO Cmdr Alex Jones & CSO Lieutenant Erin Cortez - 1945)<div dir="auto"><br></div><div dir="auto"><br></div><div dir="auto"><br></div><div dir="auto">Conversing as they skated, Alex found himself relaxing around Erin in a way that he never really had before with someone. He smiled in deep contentment, losing himself in the moment, never wanting the evening to end. Looking over to Erin, he could see the deep smile and gleam in her eyes, squeezing her hand gently he winked at her.</div><div dir="auto"><br></div><div dir="auto"><br></div><div dir="auto">Feeling the squeeze on her hand, Erin looked at Alex and, catching the wink, she returned it. Not paying attention to where her feet in the skates were heading, the blade of her left skate caught a small divot in the ice.</div><div dir="auto"><br></div><div dir="auto"><br></div><div dir="auto">Two things happened at once, Erin realised that her left foot had caught the ice and then, second, she realised that she was now unstable as she began to fall forward.</div><div dir="auto"><br></div><div dir="auto"><br></div><div dir="auto">Alex felt his arms react, catching Erin as she fell and twisted, trying to right herself. His arms round her waist, he held her, breathless in the moment as he held her, keeping her from hitting the ice. </div><div dir="auto"><br></div><div dir="auto"><br></div><div dir="auto">Her heart pounding at the initial shock of the trip, it took Erin a second to realise that Alex had caught her. After a moment, the realisation that his arms were around her waist hit her and she blushed as she looked into his eyes. ~oh no… damn it woman, those eyes are going to be trouble~ she thought to herself as she caught her breath.</div><div dir="auto"><br></div><div dir="auto"><br></div><div dir="auto">All time seemed to freeze, Alex could see the blush run from Erin’s neck, setting her face ablaze, feeling his soul fall into her large, dark eyes, he slowly lifted her up toward him, and after a few heartbeats, pulled her into a deep kiss.</div><div dir="auto"><br></div><div dir="auto"><br></div><div dir="auto">Sinking into the kiss, Erin wrapped her arms around his neck and returned the kiss equally. After a moment, she pulled back slightly and looked at him, with her forehead resting on his, "That… was some kiss."</div><div dir="auto"><br></div><div dir="auto"><br></div><div dir="auto">Alex smiled, her dark eyes beaming into his. “It certainly was wow.” his vocabulary failed him. Standing up he helped Erin steady on her feet. “Shall we?” he motioned to the ice.</div><div dir="auto"><br></div><div dir="auto"><br></div><div dir="auto">(Reply none)</div><div dir="auto"><br></div><div dir="auto"><br></div><div dir="auto">(Posted by Jackie and Mark)</div><div dir="auto"><br></div><div dir="auto"><br></div></div>
